Terrible surgery with frustrating and unreliable service
Previously, this surgery was excellent. In-person doctor consultations were standard, and appointment wait times were acceptable. Currently, I'm frequently facing a three-week delay for telephone consultations with my regular physician. Multiple text reminders are sent, often followed by a day-of message changing the appointment time. The service has become unreliable and inconsistent. Update: Downgrading to 1* as the service has deteriorated even further. The administrative staff are incredibly unhelpful, unable to provide requested information and seemingly ignorant of basic queries. They demand in-person proof of address verification while being unable to comprehend that our mailbox is consistently targeted by local drug addicts. Due to their administrative errors, I was removed from the NHS list when they sent documents to the wrong address, forcing me to pursue a private ADHD diagnosis at significant personal expense. Now that I've completed this process and obtained a professional psychological assessment, they are inexplicably refusing to acknowledge the letter. The situation is utterly infuriating and unacceptable. My doctor remains the sole bright spot in this otherwise dysfunctional practice. The administrative team needs significant improvement. Their incompetence directly impacts patient healthcare, which is unforgivable.

She was absolutely fantastic - incredibly soothing, focused yet compassionate, which is precisely what someone needs during their first such procedure or if they're feeling anxious. Shocking medical incompetence at local gp practice
I am absolutely astounded after my second disastrous encounter with the GPs at this medical practice. Initially, I brought my son in for a sore heel, and they dismissively claimed he wasn't active enough, even suggesting I apply black nail varnish to remove a wart. A private consultation later revealed he actually had a legitimate condition requiring physiotherapy and rest! Hoping for better treatment, I returned with my daughter, who was covered in spots and running a fever. Instead of immediate care, I was first redirected to a pharmacist who couldn't diagnose the issue. I then had to go online and request another appointment to see a GP. When I finally saw the doctor, she ludicrously suggested the spots were from a flea infestation and told me to Google treatment methods. ARE YOU SERIOUS? A private GP quickly confirmed it was simply a viral infection that would resolve in days. I am utterly bewildered that these medical professionals maintain their licenses. The potential emotional and financial stress of unnecessarily fumigating my home is unacceptable. This practice is dangerously incompetent and should be completely shut down. My disappointment cannot be overstated.

This medical practice offers a great setup with an in-house Paydens pharmacy, making prescriptions super convenient. The parking area is spacious and easily accessible. What really stands out is the receptionist, who has a lovely US/Canadian accent and consistently provides warm, efficient service with a positive attitude. The location is excellent for public transit, with bus stops immediately adjacent to the parking lot. The doctors are prompt and proactive, quickly handling repeat prescriptions and reaching out promptly if any medical review is needed. I'm thoroughly satisfied I made the switch from my previous GP practice.

I am experiencing intense discomfort following my colorectal radiation treatment. Central Surgery offered me nothing more than a distant telephone consultation, scheduled two weeks from now. The receptionist appears to have minimal English language skills, struggles with basic computer operations, and seems unfamiliar with the medical staff's names. Even more concerning, this untrained individual is inexplicably tasked with patient triage. My only viable option is to seek emergency department care. The single-star rating is overly generous. I cannot possibly recommend this facility. The NHS assessment of "In need of improvement" is a remarkable understatement of their inadequacies.

Attempting to pick up my medication turned into a frustrating ordeal. The traffic congestion leading to the medical practice and pharmacy was completely gridlocked, making access nearly impossible. Upon finally finding a spot in the overcrowded car park, I discovered vehicles haphazardly parked everywhere - blocking other cars, occupying multiple spaces, and people just sitting idle in their vehicles. As if this wasn't aggravating enough, getting an actual appointment is a perpetual challenge - they're consistently booked weeks ahead, and their standard response is to redirect patients to the walk-in centre instead.
