I have maintained my registration here for an extended period and have recently chosen to return after trying alternative surgeries elsewhere. Given my professional background working across various primary care settings, I previously decided to relocate to a practice in a different area. However, I am delighted to have come back. The clinical and administrative teams are outstanding, and I have consistently found it straightforward to access support when needed. On one occasion when I experienced acute abdominal symptoms, I was able to attend an appointment outside standard hours and was promptly referred to the emergency assessment unit, resulting in two direct admissions for appropriate care. The practice has provided excellent support for both my physical and mental wellbeing over the years, and I remain genuinely appreciative of their ongoing commitment and care. Thank you :)

Exceptional medical practice that manages to deliver outstanding care despite operating under significant time constraints with a high patient volume. Over the past five years, I have been seen by numerous members of the clinical team. The standard of patient care provided by everyone has been consistently excellent. While it would be inappropriate to single out particular individuals, it is worth noting that despite the brief nature of appointments, the team creates a welcoming atmosphere. Nurse couldn't answer mammogram screening question

I attended an appointment today for a routine review. When I asked about the recommended frequency for a particular screening procedure, the staff member was unable to provide an answer. I felt this was information they should have been familiar with. Additionally, there appeared to be no record available of when I last had this screening done. It seems frustrating that different parts of the NHS don't appear to share information with each other. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience.

Quick ultrasound appointment put my mind at ease

Website boundary policy needs clearer wording

I wanted to share an observation about the practice's registration information. The website currently states that the practice "may refuse your application to join our list if you are outside the practice boundary." However, based on my experience attempting to register, this phrasing doesn't accurately reflect the actual policy. In practice, it appears to be a definitive refusal rather than a discretionary decision. There was no flexibility or consideration offered regarding my location just outside the boundary. I felt the wording could be more precise and transparent, as it would help prospective patients understand the firm nature of this requirement before investing time in completing application forms. Updating the language to reflect the actual policy would be more helpful for people in similar situations.

Staff were helpful and appointments came through

Medical professionals often receive criticism in the media, but this practice is excellent. All staff members are incredibly supportive and the clinicians are wonderful and particularly skilled when working with younger patients. Appointments are readily available when required and telephone consultations are reliably conducted as scheduled. Much appreciated.

The booking system runs smoothly and the team consistently makes efforts to ensure patients are seen promptly. There is a member of the nursing team who administers my son's regular treatments and demonstrates exceptional kindness and professionalism. Removed from practice without any warning given

I was unexpectedly removed from this GP practice without any prior notice, and I was not informed that my upcoming appointments had been cancelled. During a phone conversation with reception staff, I found the interaction to be quite unpleasant, as I was told that I had registered with another GP practice, which I had not done. When I explained this was not the case, the staff member continued to insist that I had, despite my certainty that I would be aware if I had completed and submitted a registration request elsewhere. I found this situation to be very frustrating and disappointing.

Staff took time to listen and understand

Throughout my six decades, this has been the finest medical practice I have experienced. I have only positive things to say about the clinical staff, nursing team and administrative personnel. They demonstrate friendliness, attentiveness and genuine compassion in their approach. Over recent years, I have benefited from both telephone consultations and in-person appointments. The clinicians consistently allocate sufficient time to understand concerns, provide guidance and arrange necessary investigations and blood work when appropriate. There can be delays when calling during busy morning periods, however contacting the practice during quieter times results in a much smoother connection. Medication requests can be transferred to a local pharmacy of choice and ongoing prescriptions are conveniently managed through an online system. I would strongly recommend this exceptionally professional and compassionate practice to others.
