When I first joined this surgery in 2009 after transferring from a large practice in Baddow, I felt incredibly fortunate. The doctors were professional and supportive, and the prescription process was seamless. However, following the merger with CMP, everything deteriorated dramatically. Booking an appointment has become nearly impossible, and prescription requests can languish for days without any attention. The new telephone system seems deliberately designed to prevent patients from speaking with staff, and reception has been stripped of its core functions - they no longer book appointments or handle prescription inquiries, leaving me questioning their purpose entirely. It's truly devastating to witness a once-excellent medical practice decline so rapidly, seemingly a victim of governmental neglect towards the NHS, its dedicated staff, and the patients they serve. Update 24-4-25. Just when I believed this surgery had reached the absolute lowest point possible, I attempted to phone them today, only to discover they've changed their telephone number - yet their online prescription system still displays the old contact details. If further proof were needed of their complete disregard for patient care, I'm at a loss to imagine what that might be.

When I discussed certain medications they were unfamiliar with, they bizarrely suggested I could purchase a potent muscle relaxant over the counter - a medication that legally requires a doctor's prescription. The constant rotation of medical staff means you're frequently seen by inexperienced nurses who lack the necessary clinical expertise. I have zero confidence in their medical competence. Compared to this clinic, Humber road and even Melbourne provide far superior medical care. It's deeply alarming that as a patient, I possess more pharmaceutical knowledge and common sense than the supposed healthcare professionals treating me.

Currently, they've arbitrarily terminated a long-standing repeat prescription with no explanation, sending only a brief text stating it's unauthorized. I submitted a custom prescription request through their old website, which they rejected, instead sending a link to book a review appointment - the earliest slot being two weeks away, leaving me without critical medication. While I understand GP appointments are challenging right now, I've never experienced such systematic dysfunction with previous healthcare providers. My strong recommendation is to steer clear of this practice if at all possible.

Just recently registered with this medical practice, and I'm already regretting my choice... Their online booking platform is utterly dysfunctional, with a reception and phone service that seems completely absent. Securing an appointment online is virtually impossible. I strongly advise against joining this GP surgery - it's an exercise in futility. I'm now planning to file a complaint with the NHS and actively searching for an alternative healthcare provider.
