Inconsistent care from once great medical practice

I've been a patient at this medical practice since the early 1990s, and initially, it was a fantastic experience with outstanding healthcare professionals and support staff. Unfortunately, in recent years, the original team has been replaced by temporary personnel, which means patients can't develop meaningful relationships with their doctors or establish continuity of care. The staff turnover has also been problematic, with some team members having communication difficulties that make understanding medical concerns challenging. While today's visit was surprisingly efficient—I was third in line and seen promptly with a satisfactory consultation duration—my experiences have been inconsistent. On this particular day, I'd rate the practice a solid 5 out of 5, but there have been times in the past when I would have given them just a 1. With more stable, permanent staff and doctors, this could truly be an exceptional medical practice. Here's hoping for positive changes in the future! 😁😁😁😁

After multiple failed attempts to secure an appointment since January, I requested a nurse consultation to investigate potential cervical cancer, anticipating they would quickly escalate my concerns to the GP given my health changes. However, their response was dismissive - suggesting I simply be more assertive when booking appointments or consider getting seen while traveling in Spain or Turkey! Subsequently, I called back regarding a repeat prescription submitted days earlier, only to be informed it wasn't processed because I require a medication review. Isn't it standard procedure to proactively contact patients about medication reviews instead of blocking requests without communication? The final frustration came when even the helpful receptionist couldn't locate any records of my previous nurse tests. Having worked in the NHS for over two decades, I'm profoundly disappointed by the substandard care. As a result, I've transferred to a new GP practice, where I was immediately placed on the urgent two-week cancer screening pathway.

Children's House Medical Centre is absolutely terrible as a general practice clinic. When seeking specific details about a hospital visit and a blood test, they merely provide a hospital phone number - what sort of assistance is that? They claim to be a healthcare service yet suggest only individuals over 80 can schedule blood tests. This medical center is completely unhelpful, constantly making excuses about not having doctors or being unable to book a blood test. It's frankly ridiculous - they're the biggest joke in healthcare this year.

Securing a consultation at this medical practice is an incredibly frustrating experience. For weeks, I persistently called twice daily - at 8 am and 2 pm - only to be consistently informed that no appointments were available and to try again later or the next day. After two exhausting weeks of repeated attempts, I was unable to schedule any appointment. Ultimately, I was forced to transfer my medical registration to a different healthcare provider. My strong recommendation is that they modernize their booking system by implementing online appointment scheduling to improve patient accessibility.

Terrible medical service for ukrainian refugee patient

I've been a patient at Chiltern House Medical Centre for more than twelve months, and throughout this entire time, I have not received a single comprehensive health assessment. ABSOLUTELY NONE! Being from Ukraine during the ongoing conflict, I have no alternative healthcare options available to me. Communication has been challenging due to language barriers. I personally had to arrange a translator, securing their permission to assist with medical translations. Despite these efforts, there's been no progress. The staff at reception are dishonest and deceptive. They schedule appointments, but when you arrive at the designated time, they claim the doctor is unavailable. I absolutely do NOT recommend!!!!!
