Excellent!
Reception staff made the rescheduling straightforward
My husband attended an appointment today to have his stitches removed, having previously rescheduled from an earlier date as the area hadn't fully healed. I had some concerns going in, but the staff member who saw him was absolutely wonderful. She carefully and effectively removed the buildup around the site, then took out the stitches. The care was excellent, and the results are remarkable—you genuinely cannot see any trace of where they were.

Extended appointment helped ease my anxiety
I'm absolutely terrified of medical appointments and anything associated with healthcare. I had to attend for my routine blood test today, which I had been postponing due to concerns about covid. I was scheduled for an extended appointment as I needed to lie down during the procedure. I was shaking from anxiety beforehand. The healthcare professional I saw was incredibly reassuring and managed to calm me down enough for my blood pressure to be recorded successfully. She demonstrated excellent professionalism and competence in her role. She's a real asset to the practice, and I feel confident about attending future appointments with her. I'm grateful to the entire surgery team for their support.

A clinician at this practice saved my life through their quick thinking and ability to recognise the seriousness of my condition. Couldn't get through to reception in time
The surgery became available at 8am. I managed to reach reception at 8.10am. Unfortunately, there were no available appointments remaining for my mother. This seemed quite surprising given the early time of day.

Reception staff weren't helpful on the phone
Can't fault the clinical staff, they're excellent. However, the reception experience was quite different and disappointing. The administrative team weren't particularly helpful, and communication was difficult both in person and over the phone, even when attempting to explain circumstances.

Attempting to secure an in-person appointment proved very difficult despite explaining that I had been advised by a clinician to arrange one for today. Since this instruction was not recorded in the system, I was offered a telephone consultation with a doctor later that day instead.

Receptionists rushed me away during booked appointment
I found the appointment process frustrating. The surgery cancelled my booking, and when I attended as scheduled, I was informed that the healthcare professional I needed was unavailable, despite seeing other patients being attended to. I did not receive all the requested test forms I expected. The reception staff seemed hurried in their interactions, and overall the experience felt dismissive of my needs. The service did not meet my expectations for professional care and attention. I would suggest considering alternative GP surgeries in the area.

Communication breakdown delayed urgent medication
My husband is a patient at this practice. He has been waiting nearly two weeks for a new medication that was recommended following a specialist telephone consultation. When he collected his prescription yesterday, the new medication was not included. After contacting the surgery, he was informed that the specialist's communication had arrived after the routine prescription had already been processed. The surgery indicated that a clinician would call him yesterday to arrange the new prescription for the same day. This call did not take place. He made another attempt to reach the practice and was again assured that a clinician would contact him. The call never came, and he did not receive the new medication. He requires these tablets urgently, and the two week delay is deeply frustrating. The service provided has been disappointing.

Impossible to get an appointment by phone
Terrible experience trying to book an appointment. I've called multiple times over several days without success in securing a slot. Despite rarely needing to visit, I find it frustrating that others seem able to access appointments more readily. The service feels overwhelmed and struggling to cope with demand.
