Staff here could really use an attitude adjustment. Common courtesy shouldn't be hard, yet they struggle with basic politeness. And why are they interrogating me about my medical consultation? That's a private matter strictly between me and my healthcare provider!

Decades-long patient frustrated with declining medical care

I've been a patient at this medical practice for nearly two decades, and recently, the quality has drastically declined. It's become impossible to schedule an appointment with the same physician, making it challenging to maintain consistent care with a doctor familiar with my medical background. When attempting to book with a specific doctor, I'm instructed to call at 8am the next day, only to be informed at 8:01 that no appointments are available. The entire process is incredibly exasperating. My sole desire is to consult with a single doctor who is well-versed in my medical history, sparing me the need to repeatedly explain my background from scratch.

Terrible customer service with zero phone support

Called the company well before their closing time, and despite being second in the queue, I was completely ignored. Even when the system indicated I was first in line, no representative picked up. Instead, they left me stranded on an automated message system until after their official hours ended at 6:30 pm. Throughout the entire time, not a single person bothered to take my call.

The clinic's phone system is completely inadequate. Securing an appointment is near impossible unless you're among the select handful who manage to snatch a slot precisely at 8AM. It's baffling why they haven't adopted the modern convenience of online booking, which other medical practices have successfully implemented.

Rude staff and terrible patient care nightmare

The receptionist's behavior was absolutely appalling. I was initially instructed over the phone to collect wound dressings, but upon arrival, I found the facility locked. After being sent back and forth multiple times, I was then told they do not provide dressings - contradicting their earlier phone instructions. They also falsely claimed they have no district nurse for home visits. The receptionist was incredibly rude, shouting at me in front of other patients in a completely unprofessional manner. I was ultimately given just two dressings to last ten days, despite having stitches that need removal and being required to isolate due to COVID with an open wound. The lack of patient care and complete disregard for my vulnerability is shocking. The staff showed zero compassion or understanding, repeatedly misleading me and causing unnecessary stress. Their treatment was unacceptable, and I am absolutely furious after being jerked around three times today.

Terrible service and dangerous medical negligence

I'm utterly disgusted with this medical practice. Both my partner and stepchildren have repeatedly suffered from incorrect diagnoses, forcing us to seek specialized care elsewhere. The front desk staff act like they're medical experts, deciding whether patients truly need an appointment. The physicians attempt to prescribe treatments without even conducting in-person examinations, including for ear-related issues - which is completely absurd. I've been compelled to file a formal complaint with the NHS ombudsman. I'm actively searching for alternative medical practices to transfer our care. We're still waiting for the manager to contact my partner regarding their unacceptable refusal to see or refer my 11-year-old stepdaughter. ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS SURGERY AT ALL COSTS!!!

This medical practice is incredibly frustrating with their complete lack of communication. Their phone lines are essentially non-functional, and you can waste hours waiting for someone to answer. Even when you finally reach someone in the afternoon, they invariably redirect you to call back in the morning. The physicians themselves are competent, but their administrative team is severely inadequate and needs a total overhaul.

I've been a patient at this medical practice for quite some time. Appointment wait times can be a bit lengthy, though that's fairly standard across most clinics. Doctors great but receptionists are terrible nightmare

Great Doctors, Awful receptionist staff. Extremely discourteous on the telephone, with one particular woman acting as if she's a medical professional and arbitrarily deciding appointment eligibility. I had to make multiple calls to obtain a prescription that had been electronically submitted by the hospital, taking over a week to process. When I raised this issue, the receptionist dismissively claimed the doctor was reviewing it immediately, as if she had a direct view into the consultation room. Upon calling back, she said she would pass it to the doctor right then, clearly contradicting her previous statement and revealing her earlier response as a brush-off. They demonstrate a complete disregard for patient needs and fail to comprehend the critical nature of certain prescriptions. I waited all day for a virtual appointment, but they never called, claiming they left multiple messages. Since they had verified the number during booking, it's evident they deliberately avoided making contact, not attempting to reach me on either my mobile or landline. Their prescription handling is equally incompetent. A dietician sent a letter directly to the surgery specifying required quantities, yet they couldn't even send half the amount indicated. Getting an appointment here requires magical intervention - you'd need a genie lamp to have any chance. If you want to be treated disrespectfully, just contact the receptionists. The doctors are competent and identified my health issues early, but the rest of the staff are thoroughly unprofessional.

Worst medical experience of my life ever

Would rate zero stars if possible. I've been a patient at this medical practice since childhood. Their Church Road location is absolutely terrible. They offer virtually no in-person consultations and barely any telephone appointments. I reached out hoping to discuss my potential walking pneumonia and request additional antibiotics to fully clear the infection. When the physician finally contacted me, she was incredibly dismissive, making me feel utterly insignificant and like an inconvenience. I've never experienced such unprofessional treatment from a healthcare professional who is supposed to provide support and care. Absolutely unacceptable.

The front desk staff at this medical practice behave as if they have the authority of physicians when scheduling appointments, effectively controlling patient access. Consequently, we've frequently been denied consultations with the doctor, both in past instances and currently. The reception team displays an exceptionally discourteous attitude and demonstrates a complete lack of compassion towards patients. While most of the medical professionals are quite pleasant, the reception and management personnel are absolutely dreadful.
