Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience across the practice. Clinical staff, nursing teams, and physicians consistently receive praise for their professionalism, responsiveness, and compassionate care. Appointment booking through both online and reception channels is generally described as efficient, and waiting times are often minimal. However, significant challenges emerge around parking facilities, which multiple patients identify as inadequate and frustrating, particularly given the practice serves three separate GP surgeries with limited non-disabled spaces.
Administrative processes present recurring concerns, including difficulties with online booking systems, extended delays in appointment access, and inconsistent communication from reception staff. Some patients report challenges scheduling appointments for administrative tasks, while others describe lengthy phone queues and inflexible booking windows. Communication breakdowns regarding procedural changes and follow-up care have also been noted, affecting patient reassurance and continuity of care.
Despite these operational challenges, many patients express strong confidence in the clinical quality of care received, with particular appreciation for the welcoming reception experience, nursing responsiveness, and the expertise demonstrated during consultations. The practice appears to deliver effective medical care, though administrative and facility improvements would enhance the overall patient experience.

Bad!
Terrible service from incompetent front desk staff
Incompetent front desk staff who can't navigate basic computer systems to locate patient information - it's mind-boggling how they're employed in a professional setting.

Swift and superb medical support today
The service at Church Street was truly top-notch today. I submitted an online form about my issue at 3:30, and remarkably, received a call from reception by 3:45. I was seen promptly at 4:30 and had my medication in hand from the nearby pharmacy by 4:39. The entire experience was outstanding, characterized by exceptional communication at every step.

Terrible service with incompetent and disrespectful admin
Incompetent and poorly trained administrative personnel make this medical practice unbearable. Their online portal, which they insist patients use, is utterly useless, forcing me to phone them after being ignored. When I had a straightforward query that would take mere minutes for a doctor to address, I was instead pushed through an online triage process resulting in a phone consultation scheduled five weeks later. The surgery shows zero consideration for patients' time, refusing to provide even a rough timeframe for their call and expecting patients to be perpetually available. The appointment system is a nightmare. Miss their incredibly brief calling window, and you're penalized. When I returned their call during standard business hours after being unavailable during their three-minute slot, I received an automated message promising a callback that never materialized. Subsequently, they dishonestly claimed I'd never attempted to contact them, using this fabrication to justify ghosting me completely. The sole bright spot is the nursing staff, who remain consistently excellent.

Life-changing care from an exceptional doctor
Dr. Ellis is the sole reason this experience earns a perfect rating. Anyone seeking a healthcare professional who genuinely prioritizes patient well-being should absolutely schedule a consultation with him. In just one initial visit, he accomplished more for my health than every other physician I've consulted during the preceding half-decade.

Exceptional healthcare with compassionate and efficient staff
Throughout my six-year journey with this medical practice, I've consistently been impressed by their exceptional service. The staff across all departments—from doctors and nurses to phlebotomists and front desk personnel—have been consistently welcoming, efficient, and supportive. Their online request system is a fantastic convenience for handling administrative matters without time pressure. Today's appointment perfectly exemplified their high standard of care: the physician was compassionate, attentive, and thoroughly addressed my health concerns. I left with a comprehensive consultation and my prescription already processed through their in-house pharmacy. Truly, this practice sets a remarkable standard for patient care that's hard to surpass!

Poor!
Frustrated pensioner's prescription nightmare at badhams
I, Edith Seers, submitted an online prescription request and received a text directing me to Badhams for assistance. While they were helpful, the lack of a sent prescription resulted in a £27 charge that I can ill afford on a pensioner's budget. I'm deeply frustrated and distressed because I believed my online request would free up an appointment for another patient. It's unfair that I'm now financially penalized for following the suggested process.

Endless wait destroys hope and patience
The constant chatter about minimizing wait times rings hollow when their phone system bombards you with an endless recorded message that drones on for nearly 5 minutes. Once you finally get through, you're informed you're tenth in line, only to be told there's a mandatory 6-week wait for an appointment with absolutely no flexibility. It's so frustrating that I'm convinced some patients might have actually perished during this ridiculous waiting period. Frankly, if the initial medical condition doesn't kill you, the excruciating delay certainly might just finish the job.

Unprofessional healthcare experience leaves patient feeling frustrated
I sat endlessly waiting for my prostate test results appointment, with the receptionist displaying an unprofessional demeanor, complete with a candy jar by her side (hardly the image of medical professionalism). When I finally got to see the doctor, they asked, "What did I come in for?" despite being the ones who summoned me to discuss my test results. The entire experience was utterly dehumanizing - I felt like a mere statistic, not a person. The stress was overwhelming. This isn't some trivial matter; we're talking about people's health, and such carelessness is unacceptable.

Terrible service for a worried child's health
The front desk staff are terrible. Completely unhelpful. I called to express concern about my 3-year-old's neck lumps and was informed that the earliest appointment was at least a month away! Absolutely absurd. I was even forced to go online to try and schedule something. She's just a toddler, for crying out loud!

Skilled surgeon, poor communication and patient care
The surgical procedure itself was exceptional, but lately, there have been significant communication breakdowns with patient follow-up. It would be appreciated if they would demonstrate genuine concern. When procedural modifications occur, it's crucial that staff effectively communicate these changes to patients, preventing unnecessary waiting and confusion. The current situation is truly disheartening.

Dr. Opie and Katie Hughes were exceptional during today's appointment. They were incredibly supportive and attentive to both myself and my 8-week-old baby during the check-up. My sincere appreciation goes out to them.

Frustrating healthcare system fails patient expectations
Received a call from Church Street practice regarding a medication review. Initially agreed, but was then informed they couldn't conduct the review immediately and I'd need to schedule an appointment. Frustratingly, to book this appointment, I'm required to use their website. Completely POINTLESS, as the online booking system is non-functional. I've also attempted to schedule through their system and Airmid apps, all to no avail. To make matters worse, I'm still waiting on appointments that were originally scheduled BEFORE COVID, dating back to 2020.

Impersonal care strips human connection from healthcare
Attempting to secure an in-person consultation feels futile. During my most recent visit, I noticed reduced seating capacity despite renovations. This makes me skeptical about the practice's commitment to providing personal, face-to-face patient care. I've been reduced to a mere number in their system. There was a time when physicians would greet me by name and engage in meaningful dialogue. Now, the entire service feels impersonal and detached.
