Feedback on this practice reveals a deeply divided patient experience, with appointment access emerging as the most consistent concern across reviews. Securing routine consultations typically requires booking weeks in advance, with many patients reporting waits of two to three weeks or longer. The morning telephone booking system generates particular frustration, with patients describing lengthy queues and frequent unavailability of slots. Emergency appointment access, by contrast, receives consistent praise for responsiveness and accessibility. Care quality from physicians is frequently commended, with patients highlighting professional expertise, attentive listening, and thorough diagnostic approaches. However, reception experience presents a stark contrast to clinical care, with multiple reviews citing discourteous staff conduct, unprofessional attitudes, and communication failures that undermine confidence in the service.
Patients report significant variation in their interactions with reception staff, with some describing warmth and helpfulness whilst others experienced dismissiveness and hostility. Waiting times beyond scheduled appointments are commonly mentioned, though some patients acknowledge this reflects thorough clinical attention. The practice environment has been criticized in isolated reviews for cleanliness concerns. Communication breakdowns appear in several accounts, including missed referral follow-ups, incorrect information provision, and inadequate responsiveness to patient concerns. A minority of reviews raise serious concerns about medication management and clinical decision-making, though these represent individual experiences rather than systematic patterns.
For patients who have experienced positive interactions, particularly those with long-standing relationships with the practice, satisfaction centers on continuity of care, compassionate treatment, and professional competence. The disparity between positive and negative feedback suggests that experience varies significantly depending on appointment type, reception staff encountered, and individual clinical circumstances. Appointment availability and reception courtesy represent the primary areas where patient satisfaction diverges most sharply from clinical care quality.

Terrible healthcare service with endless waiting times
Utterly appalling medical facility, waiting times are ridiculous with a two-week lead just to get a doctor's appointment! This entire practice deserves to be razed to the ground.

Terrible service and endless waiting times
I've been a patient at this medical practice for two years, and it's incredibly frustrating how long it takes to secure an appointment - nearly three weeks of waiting. When I finally got one, I was instructed to arrive at 2:50 PM, but didn't actually see the doctor until 3:40 PM. What's the point of scheduling specific time slots if they're not going to be respected or followed?

Rude receptionist ruins exceptional medical practice
I'm planning to switch medical practices in the near future. My general practitioner is top-notch. However, navigating past the receptionist is a significant hurdle - the specific individual I interacted with seems to believe she possesses medical expertise. Her attitude is completely unacceptable! She advised me to visit the emergency department with my health concerns. This approach undoubtedly contributes to the overwhelming strain on emergency services!! I'm genuinely appalled by the complete absence of compassion. I will definitely be filing a formal complaint.

Terrible customer service and complete communication failure
Repeatedly provided with incorrect details, and then advised to return after the bank holiday weekend despite being initially instructed to call in the morning to resolve my problem. It took an exhausting 8 hours to handle a simple document, and when we voiced our frustration, the receptionist responded with hostility, dramatically slamming the door. Absolutely terrible customer service that I would not suggest to anyone under any circumstances.

Lifesaving doctor saved me from medical mystery
I recently consulted Dr. Gray at the medical center, and after describing my symptoms, he promptly referred me to AEC for critical blood work. Subsequently, I was diagnosed with an uncommon medical condition that, through conversations with fellow patients, I learned typically involves a prolonged diagnostic process. Thanks to Dr. Gray's expertise and swift approach, I was able to receive a timely diagnosis. I have now begun treatment with medication that carries significant side effects, and Dr. Gray continues to stay closely involved, monitoring my progress and making necessary adjustments to my care plan. In all honesty, the medical attention I've received has been exceptional. Hearing about other patients struggling with extended waiting periods and enduring ongoing discomfort while seeking a diagnosis has made me deeply appreciative of Dr. Gray's professional and compassionate approach.

Terrible service from unprofessional racist receptionist
Receptionist displayed an incredibly disrespectful and discriminatory attitude, acting as if they were superior despite being a low-wage employee. Their behavior tarnished the reputation of what should have been a welcoming medical practice.

Struggling alone with mom's mental health crisis
I'm struggling to manage my mother's deteriorating mental health situation entirely by myself, with no support from her physician, Dr. Stuart Gray, who seems completely indifferent to our challenging circumstances and offers no assistance during this overwhelming period.

Terrible service and unhelpful receptionists at clinic
Getting a timely appointment is virtually impossible whenever you call. The front desk staff come across as incredibly discourteous and seem to overstep their boundaries by attempting to provide medical advice. The sole bright spot is my midwife, who is genuinely pleasant and welcoming, but despite her, I still feel uneasy about relying on this medical practice.

Terrible healthcare experience that never improves
Unbelievable, persistent issues dragging on for more than eight months. A potentially grave medical concern. The complications have progressively deteriorated, especially in recent weeks. I've made over ten phone calls, only to receive the same unhelpful, dismissive advice to "call back at 8 pm". After enduring four antibiotic courses, two cream treatments, and three hospital visits, my condition continues to worsen. This is undoubtedly the most incompetent medical practice I've ever encountered.

Compassionate care from a wonderful medical team
A heartfelt expression of gratitude to the wonderful professionals at Church View Surgery - from the doctors to the nurses and support staff. Throughout numerous years and complex medical challenges, they have consistently provided exceptional care for myself and my family. We have always experienced compassionate treatment, with careful attention to our needs and timely referrals when necessary. I recognize the immense pressures facing general practitioners today, and I want them to understand how deeply appreciated and respected they truly are.

Terrible healthcare that fails epilepsy patients completely
I'm utterly frustrated that I can't secure a medical consultation despite battling a critical health issue like Epilepsy. The moment the clinic opens, I call immediately, yet every single emergency slot is already booked. How can this possibly be acceptable when I'm dealing with a life-altering medical condition that requires urgent attention?!

Exceptional healthcare with caring and responsive staff
The surgical facility offers exceptional care with a compassionate team. The physicians are highly professional and create a welcoming environment. Not only are the doctors impressive, but the nursing and administrative staff are equally supportive, responsive, and courteous. I am completely satisfied with the overall experience at this medical practice. While scheduling a standard appointment might require several weeks of advance planning, the option to secure emergency consultations provides a valuable alternative when urgent medical attention is necessary.

Exceptional care at my trusted local doctors surgery
Listen up to all the critics out there: it's time to mature and cease with the negative comments about this medical practice! I've been a patient here for an extended period, and they've consistently provided top-notch care. The reception staff are absolutely not discourteous; in fact, they're genuinely warm and considerate towards every single patient. I've been coming to this clinic for years, and I genuinely have zero issues with their service. There's absolutely no justification for spreading harmful remarks about them whatsoever.

Worst medical experience ever terrible service
Scheduling an appointment takes forever, and the front desk staff are incredibly discourteous. We're stuck in the waiting room by ourselves, and the doctor is inexplicably behind schedule by a quarter-hour. The furniture looks like it's been frozen in a time warp from decades ago, with grime visibly caked on the chairs. This medical practice is absolutely ridiculous.

Terrible medical care leaves patient frustrated and suffering
I called for an urgent consultation and clearly stated my preference to avoid a specific physician. Despite my request, I ended up seeing the very same doctor who previously dismissed my need for adequate pain medication. When I last consulted him about this condition, he declined to prescribe any substantial pain relief. I was subsequently referred to a pain management team, but I'm still waiting for that appointment to materialize. The pain became so unbearable by July that I was compelled to seek a private pain specialist at my own expense. This specialist was astounded that I had to pay out of pocket just to obtain fundamental pain management.

Lifelong family care from amazing medical professionals
dear everyone this medical practice is outstanding they have cared for my family for over four decades. i have absolutely nothing negative to say about them. if you're dissatisfied, simply seek alternatives or opt for private care. countless times in the waiting area, i've heard people criticizing the doctors, which truly infuriates me. if they're running late, it's often because they might be attending to an urgent patient or stuck in traffic. all medical staff - doctors, nurses, and reception personnel - are exceptional. i wish i could give more than five stars; they deserve even higher praise. apologies for any spelling errors, i just wanted to share my thoughts.
