Patient Experience Summary

Feedback reveals a deeply polarised experience with significant inconsistency across service areas. The medical team consistently receives praise for compassion, clinical competence, and supportive care, with patients frequently highlighting prompt consultations and effective treatment. However, reception experience presents a stark contrast, with widespread complaints about dismissive communication, rudeness, and lack of courtesy during phone and in-person interactions. Appointment access remains a critical issue, with patients reporting difficulty securing timely slots, misleading walk-in centre claims, and administrative failures in booking systems and callback promises. Several reviews highlight concerning gaps between service quality and patient expectations, particularly around responsiveness to inquiries, communication clarity, and follow-up care. While some patients describe efficient, welcoming experiences with minimal waiting times, others report lengthy delays, unresponsive staff, and organisational confusion that undermines confidence in the service.

The facility's marketing as a walk-in centre appears inconsistent with operational reality, generating frustration among patients seeking urgent care. Communication breakdowns between reception and clinical teams, combined with inconsistent application of policies, suggest underlying organisational challenges. Positive experiences tend to correlate with individual staff members demonstrating initiative and empathy, whereas negative experiences reflect systemic issues around appointment availability, reception courtesy, and administrative coordination. The contrast between the quality of clinical care and the reception experience suggests that service improvements would benefit from focused attention to staff training, communication protocols, and appointment management systems.

Ridiculous morning rush for basic healthcare access

I attempted to schedule a medical consultation and was informed that registered patients experiencing illness must rise at the crack of dawn, precisely 7:30am, to fill out paperwork with any hope of receiving medical attention. What an absolute disappointment our healthcare system has become.

Worst medical service ever avoid at all costs

What an absolute joke! Steer clear of this place, particularly in an emergency! Despite advertising surgical services, they flat-out declined to examine my severely bleeding finger and claimed they lacked basic medical supplies like dressings, sutures, or bandages! Completely pointless visit that only served to drain my patience and stress levels!

Completely ineffective. This hardly qualifies as a walk-in facility when they claim to have no availability, even though the place appears completely vacant.

Worst medical practice ever terrible service

Let me be crystal clear: this general practice is absolutely dreadful. The front desk staff are incredibly unhelpful and seem completely disinterested in their job. Whenever I reach out with a health concern while feeling unwell, they insist I submit an application form the next morning at 7:30am. Their operational approach is completely incomprehensible to me. Why on earth can't they simply schedule me for a consultation? Who in their right mind designed such a ridiculous system? I've never encountered such an approach at any other medical practice. Their online ratings are abysmal, and it's high time someone took action against this clinic. Imagine being seriously ill or potentially facing a critical health issue, and they still demand you fill out paperwork early the next morning. It's an absolute mockery of patient care.

Unhelpful receptionist ruins walk in centre experience

I visited the walk-in centre and asked about a phone conversation I had earlier that day regarding a chest infection. The receptionist was incredibly rude and condescending, essentially instructing me to return home and wait for a callback. When I suggested waiting in the reception area since I was already present, she simply stared at me and repeated her previous directive. I explained that it would be more logical to be seen now that I was already there, but she just stood motionless, staring blankly at me.

Frustrating journey to treatment at walk in centre

I was struggling with a severe respiratory infection while traveling, so I sought help at a local walk-in medical center. After consulting with NHS 111 and receiving guidance to visit the nearest clinic, I arrived hoping for prompt care. However, the receptionist initially turned me away, suggesting I return home despite my previous professional medical advice. Frustrated, I went back home only to receive a follow-up call from a doctor who then instructed me to come in for an examination. Upon returning to the clinic, I was thoroughly assessed and prescribed antibiotics. Despite the initial administrative confusion, the attending physician was exceptionally kind and composed during my consultation.

Quick and efficient walk in centre

I've relied on this walk-in centre multiple times, and it's absolutely fantastic. You might wait around 30 minutes, but you'll get triaged by a nurse and then see a doctor. The staff are incredibly efficient and professional. The facility is spotlessly clean with plenty of comfortable seating and a spacious waiting area. The reception staff are friendly and supportive. In my experience, the waiting room is rarely crowded - typically no more than 4 people at a time. I genuinely cannot recommend this place enough. It's far more convenient than trying to secure an appointment with a standard GP practice.
