Decent service with frustrating diagnostic challenges

The medical practice meets basic standards but falls short of being outstanding. Physicians are present, yet patients frequently encounter wait times ranging from half an hour to a full hour, though this variability is somewhat tolerable. Our interaction with the general practitioner felt eerily like an unresolved medical puzzle. Throughout three to four months of repeated consultations, the doctor remained unable to identify the skin ailment affecting my toddler. Moreover, the physician seemed indifferent to our expressed worries, which ultimately led to a deterioration of my child's medical condition. I am reluctant to elaborate extensively on our experience, partly due to the unsatisfactory manner in which genuine feedback is handled, with the practice consistently failing to recognize its own limitations. Consequently, I am now seriously contemplating transferring to an alternative medical practice.

Horrible service and unprofessional staff at clinic

I absolutely cannot suggest this surgery to anyone whatsoever! My father, who is 81 years old, has been a patient at this practice for over 15 years. Everything was perfectly fine when Dr. Abrol was running the place. However, since the management changed and new staff arrived, it has become an absolute disaster. We encountered a terrible interaction with Uzma, the receptionist, who seems to believe she's more important than the actual doctors. Her behavior was completely unacceptable, disrespectful, aggressive, and lacking any compassion. She created significant difficulties for my elderly father, who is already in poor health. I have submitted a formal complaint which is currently under review, and I sincerely hope they thoroughly investigate the staff's negligent conduct. The only positive aspect is Dr. Riaz, who appears to be a genuinely competent physician, though frustratingly impossible to schedule an appointment with, interestingly enough. Following our recent horrible experience with Uzma, we have definitively decided to transfer my father's medical care to another practice.

The female staff member, Usmah, demonstrates an extremely unprofessional demeanor at the medical practice. Her interactions with patients are consistently discourteous, characterized by inappropriate verbal communication and dismissive body language. When I expressed my concerns about her conduct, she responded dismissively, suggesting I could seek care elsewhere if I was dissatisfied. Her behavior reflects a complete lack of interpersonal skills and demonstrates the most abysmal approach to patient relations I have ever encountered. I am currently awaiting a response from the public relations department at City Road Medical regarding this unacceptable situation.

Terrible service at this so-called medical centre

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A PROPER MEDICAL FACILITY! The front desk staff are robotically responding from a predetermined text, showing zero initiative or genuine care. Their demeanor is consistently discourteous. Among the four receptionists, only one demonstrates any semblance of helpfulness - but that's a gamble you'll have to take each time you visit, ironically enough. Physician availability is laughably limited to merely one or two hours weekly, forcing patients to either dramatically restructure their entire schedule or settle for seeing an unidentified healthcare worker - who seems more like an inexperienced trainee than a competent professional, given their apparent lack of medical knowledge. Attempting to register with this establishment? Best of luck with that 😂

The doctor was absolutely exceptional in her method, and I couldn't have wished for a more impressive professional. Every single star is dedicated to the doctor's performance. If my evaluation were based solely on the doctor's interaction, I would have awarded a perfect 5-star rating. Conversely, the staff was completely the polar opposite, particularly the woman who appears to be managing the operations. She was incredibly discourteous and seemed to have zero concern or empathy. This isn't an isolated incident; her attitude has been consistently terrible during every visit I've made to this practice. If my rating were based exclusively on the staff's conduct, I would have unquestionably given zero stars.

Dismissive doctor crushed my mental health hopes

No support for mental health. After mustering immense courage to visit the doctor (something I never do), I shared my recent mental health struggles. I explained how the past month has been debilitating - unable to leave home, experiencing constant fear, and feeling like a completely different person. The doctor immediately interrupted, suggesting breathing exercises would resolve my anxiety. I felt utterly unheard and dismissed. Prior to this appointment, I had already been investing in private CBT and attempting self-improvement strategies. This visit was my absolute last option, and the experience reinforced why I had been hesitant to seek medical help. When I desperately asked about alternative approaches, the doctor coldly stated, "I don't prescribe antidepressants in my surgery - that's not my method." I was devastated. Despite never wanting medication, my current state of being unable to function or enjoy life made me hope for more compassionate support. The entire appointment lasted merely five minutes, leaving me more emotionally defeated than when I arrived. The doctor displayed zero empathy or understanding of mental health challenges. No referral was offered, no medication discussed, just a dismissive suggestion about breathing. I sincerely hope medical professionals receive better training in mental health support and learn to genuinely listen to their patients' experiences.
