Frustrating healthcare app fails patient access
I've been struggling to secure a GP appointment for an extended period. In September, I booked a slot through patient access for mid-October, which was the sole available telephone option, but today I discovered the appointment has vanished from the app without any trace. I was forced to complete a new online form just to request an appointment, and it appears the app is no longer functional for booking - despite the website continually referencing it! I seldom require medical consultations and am only seeking one now because I cannot renew my prescription, which stipulates I must first speak with a GP. Telephone attempts have been futile, and entry to the medical practice is impossible without a pre-existing appointment. This situation is utterly unacceptable. While I genuinely empathize with the staff who are undoubtedly managing an overwhelming volume of requests, making appointments so difficult to obtain is simply unacceptable. I'm left wondering how I'm supposed to obtain my essential medication when I cannot secure an appointment, no one answers the phone, and online booking has been eliminated.

Absolutely terrible encounter with this Health Centre, consistently facing a 45-minute struggle just to contact reception for scheduling. Moreover, they provide no fixed appointment times and can ring you up at any moment, which is incredibly inconvenient for those working remotely who can't abruptly interrupt professional calls to answer NHS communications. If you miss their call, they simply don't attempt to reconnect. I strongly believe the appointment system desperately needs improvement, with designated time slots to enhance overall service quality.

Following a challenging surgical procedure, one of the most empathetic reception staff members sat with me and provided water until I felt more comfortable. Despite these positive experiences, I believe the management of the reception area and the approach of more senior reception staff needs significant improvement and occasionally undermines my overall experience. When scheduling a telephone consultation, their persistent questioning about the purpose feels intrusive and inappropriate. My medical details are private and not their concern to probe. Additionally, during sample submissions, their lack of discretion and loud discussions have caused me considerable embarrassment. While I would gladly award a perfect rating, the reception staff's conduct prevents me from doing so, which seems consistent with other patient reviews.

Misleading service with unprofessional catchment area policy
After relocating to the area, I contacted them to verify my catchment status, and a staff member confirmed I was eligible. I visited the next day to collect paperwork, where another employee double-checked my postcode before providing the documents. However, after spending two days completing four detailed forms about my medication and medical history, I was abruptly informed that they couldn't accept my application because I wasn't in their catchment area!!!! This decision seems completely arbitrary, especially since two previous staff members had confirmed my eligibility, and the NHS website also lists this as a GP in my catchment area - it's literally just 0.9 miles away. I strongly suspect this is discrimination related to my headscarf, particularly when the staff member awkwardly stated, "There is nothing personally against you." Such a phrase is unprofessional and inappropriate when meeting someone for the first time in a brief conversation. Her statement implies a personal bias, and I'm convinced she means it in a discriminatory manner.

Dangerous medical care led to heart surgery nightmare
The staff at this medical center were welcoming, and the facility was spotless. However, I have serious concerns about one of the doctors' competence. I'm scheduled for heart valve surgery, but Dr. Sindhu Pathma misdiagnosed my condition for six months. She claimed my blood pressure reading of 160/100 was normal and incorrectly told me my blood pressure medication was actually for menopause. Her professional incompetence is shocking, and her attitude was incredibly dismissive. Getting a referral to a specialist was frustratingly slow and bureaucratic - a delay that could potentially be life-threatening. I was relieved to learn today that Dr. Pathma is no longer working at Clearmont Medical Centre. Additionally, I want to publicly apologize to Dr. Bandna Ratti, as I mistakenly associated her with my previous complaints. I am TRULY, TRULY SORRY, Dr. RATTI!!!
