Patient Experience Summary

Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience with significant operational challenges alongside pockets of positive care delivery. Appointment access remains a persistent concern, with patients reporting difficulties securing same-day slots, extended waiting periods for initial bookings, and long delays between follow-up appointments. Phone system issues compound these problems, with callers experiencing dropped connections and extended hold times. Reception experience is inconsistent, with some patients praising courteous staff while others describe rudeness and dismissiveness. Communication gaps appear throughout the patient journey, from unclear waiting time updates to delayed prescription processing and insufficient responsiveness to patient inquiries.

Where the practice receives consistent praise is in clinical care quality and professional expertise. Patients highlight compassionate doctors, attentive listening during consultations, and seamless coordination between medical team members. The welcoming atmosphere and expert medical knowledge are noted as strengths. Some patients appreciate recent service improvements, including after-hours appointment slots, callback systems that reduce waiting periods, and multiple booking channels through digital platforms.

The practice appears to be experiencing a gap between clinical delivery and administrative function. While medical professionals demonstrate strong capability and genuine care, the booking systems, phone infrastructure, and reception processes struggle to meet patient expectations. This disconnect suggests that operational improvements in appointment availability, communication clarity, and reception courtesy would significantly enhance overall patient satisfaction.

Dismissive staff missed my baby's infection

If I could rate this medical practice lower than zero, I absolutely would. I reached out seeking guidance and scheduling a consultation for my 11-month-old, who was experiencing coughing and expelling brown, coffee-ground-like substance. The receptionist dismissively suggested it was probably just something she consumed - since when did receptionists become medical experts? They offered no appointments and redirected me to Dewsbury, where the wait times are notoriously dreadful. Fortunately, I contacted 111 and had my daughter properly examined. She's now on antibiotics for an infection, which clearly wasn't just a result of something she'd eaten, contrary to the receptionist's uninformed assessment.

Poor!

Frustrating wait and dismissive phone service

Inconsistent experience with this medical practice. The doctors display poor communication and bedside manner, particularly when interacting via telephone. Scheduling is problematic, with wait times extending beyond a month just to review test outcomes. Primary care physicians seem negligent in pursuing specialist referrals. While individual in-person consultations have been satisfactory, the overall process of accessing care is frustratingly complicated and inefficient.

Nazia helped my husband walk again

I'm penning this testimonial on my spouse's behalf. The incredible Ms. Nazia Khan at Sano Physiotherapy has worked wonders for him after a devastating motorcycle collision. Following just 10 treatment sessions, he's now walking confidently and feeling fantastic. I cannot recommend her services highly enough.

Dismissive doctor ignored my sick baby

Absolutely appalling, they disregarded me purely because I'm a young mother... The previous evening, my son was vomiting after every feed, and I shared this concern with my doctor. The moment we entered the room, he sneezed, and she dismissively claimed it was just a cold. When I discussed weaning my almost 6-month-old son and his adverse reaction, instead of showing genuine concern, she began criticizing my parenting choices. I sought help because my son was experiencing health issues, yet she insisted he was fine and that if he continued vomiting milk, there was nothing I could do. After consulting 111, they confirmed her advice was completely inappropriate. The 111 advisor explicitly stated that the doctor should have thoroughly examined my son and provided clear instructions on managing his vomiting, rather than telling me to simply ignore it. My advice: avoid this practice at all costs and find a more compassionate and professional medical provider!

Terrible practice after decades of loyalty

I strongly advise against visiting this medical facility. The front desk staff are completely unprofessional, displaying extreme rudeness and routinely disconnecting calls, assuming you manage to get through in the first place. Following the pandemic, the physicians appear entirely disinterested in patient care, with nursing staff almost equally unhelpful - I was perpetually unable to secure an in-person consultation for my asthma assessment. The quality of service has deteriorated so dramatically that after being a loyal patient for nearly five decades, I have ultimately decided to terminate my relationship with this practice.

Caring doctors saved my health quickly

I've consistently received top-notch, courteous, and competent care from everyone at this medical practice. While there can be some wait times when calling, it's far less frustrating than my previous surgery, and when calls are answered, the staff are genuinely helpful and kind. The medical professionals I've consulted have been exceptional. At my last appointment with my previous surgery, the GP dismissed my concerns and told me to go home, claiming this was just "my normal". In contrast, during my first consultation here just a week later, the doctor carefully listened to my entire account and took swift action, arranging hospital tests within days that may help identify and resolve serious health issues. Recognizing that all medical practices face current challenges, the care I've experienced here has been truly remarkable.

Tuesday closure left me frustrated

Extremely disappointing that the medical practice remains shut down every Tuesday with zero phone accessibility. Staff advised me to call back the following day, explaining they're conducting staff training. This disruption is completely inappropriate during patient service hours and should be scheduled outside of operational times, like after hours or on weekends. It demonstrates a total lack of consideration for patients' needs. Additionally, their website falsely indicates the surgery is open, which is further misleading and unacceptable.

Misdiagnosis nearly killed my brother

My sibling received a telephone diagnosis from a physician, but the initial assessment turned out to be completely incorrect. As a result, his health rapidly deteriorated, leading to a critical hospital admission where we feared he might not survive. He developed serious respiratory issues and persistent illness. The medical professionals' competence has clearly declined, and this feels like a clear case of medical negligence.

Waited 40 minutes and still no help

Terrible experience! I'm definitely switching healthcare providers. Their medication management is consistently problematic - prescriptions are either delayed or not processed correctly. The staff's customer service is abysmal; I've spent almost three-quarters of an hour on hold, and they still won't pick up the phone. This medical practice is completely unprofessional, and their standard of patient care is shockingly poor.

Nightmare of getting medical results

Getting in touch with this surgical practice is an exercise in futility. Obtaining any information about outcomes is equally challenging. I'm genuinely baffled how this medical facility continues to operate. The term "frustrating" falls woefully short of describing the experience.

Mixed vibes at the medical practice

The recent addition of new front desk staff has been a positive change. However, the prescription department remains problematic. The staff there are consistently discourteous, uncooperative, and appear to deliberately create obstacles. They seem to deliberately retreat to the lower level, enabling them to be as unpleasant as possible while avoiding direct interaction with patients. If you require ongoing prescription services, I strongly recommend seeking an alternative medical practice.

Missed my 9.40 appointment over late bus

Hi, I had an appointment scheduled for 9:40 today. I called at 3:33 PM to explain that the bus hadn't arrived and I would be running late, asking if the doctor would still see me. They were uncertain, and I stressed that I didn't want to travel only to be turned away, especially since I was using my last £4 for transportation - money that could have been spent on my two young children under 5. The bus arrived shortly after my phone call, before the 9:42 bus time. As soon as I reached Cleckheaton bus station, I received a call saying the doctor would not see me. Now, I've wasted my final £4 that could have gone towards my kids' needs. In the past, I've repeatedly been brushed off or told no appointments are available. I'm planning to switch doctors.
