Excellent!
Finally found a practice that actually listens
I have nothing but positive things to say about this practice. I transferred from another local GP surgery that I found unsatisfactory. In comparison, this practice stands out as exceptionally organised and compassionate. While parking can be somewhat inconvenient, I find it a minor inconvenience given the excellent standard of care I have consistently experienced here.

Long waits and dismissive phone handling left me frustrated
I had a deeply unsatisfactory experience at this surgery following a phone consultation regarding mental health concerns. The interaction was upsetting, as I felt the clinician was dismissive and the call ended abruptly after a brief discussion. When I attended the practice in person to raise my concerns, I found the reception area quiet and was informed that the doctor was unavailable. After returning for a follow-up visit, I experienced a significant wait of over an hour. I felt that the response to my complaint was inadequate, and I was troubled to discover that my medical records contained characterisations of my behaviour that I believe do not accurately reflect the situation. I intend to pursue this matter further through appropriate channels.

Helpful receptionists but one let me down
I have consistently found this surgery to be very good, including the reception staff. I encountered one receptionist today who seemed less attentive than usual, which was disappointing, as the team is typically very helpful. Overall, I would still recommend this practice.

Quick appointment when calling before teatime
I rang shortly before the evening meal as I had concerns about my child. I anticipated receiving telephone guidance at most. However, I was asked about my availability to bring my child in for an appointment, and I was able to see someone within the hour. This was excellent. We were seen by a member of the clinical team who was wonderful. They engaged well with my child, helped him feel at ease and carried out a comprehensive examination. They were attentive throughout. The care provided from beginning to end was outstanding. Thank you.

Transferred to this practice from another surgery and have found it difficult to get an appointment to see a doctor. The practice frequently offers remote consultations which I find unhelpful, and I have struggled to arrange face-to-face appointments with a clinician.

Helpful receptionist kept me well informed
I'm very satisfied with this practice. The reception staff were extremely helpful and kept me well-informed regarding preventative healthcare needs. I haven't had an in-person appointment, instead using remote consultations, and I was able to obtain the medication I required. However, there was no subsequent follow-up arranged.

Reception turned away after head injury
I had a fall this afternoon and was fortunate that a compassionate person stopped to assist me. I sustained a bump to my head and a scraped knee, and was quite shaken by the incident. I was heading to my local medical centre to deliver a letter to my doctor when the accident occurred. Upon arriving at the surgery, I approached the reception desk and explained that I had developed swelling on my forehead near my eyebrow, asking if a nurse might be available to assess it. The receptionist consulted with a colleague, who indicated that no nursing staff were available and suggested I attend the accident and emergency department instead, where I was warned I could face a lengthy wait. I was disappointed that despite being in my doctor's surgery, I was unable to receive any assessment or support from clinical staff. I am considering transferring my care to a practice that might provide a more compassionate response to my needs.

Staff were helpful and efficient throughout
I have found this practice to be excellent in every respect. The team members are consistently helpful and organised in their approach. My partner recently transferred to this practice and has been impressed by the improvement in service quality compared to their previous provider. As my partner attends regularly and I have required ongoing wound care and documentation following a recent incident, we have had multiple opportunities to assess the standard of care. The service has been consistently good across all our visits. I recognise that this is a demanding profession, particularly given that some patients can be impatient, discourteous and unappreciative, which I have occasionally witnessed during my time at the practice.

I really appreciate the text messaging service. It's very convenient because you're able to send photos through it, which means you don't have to remove your children from school or take time away from work to receive the care you need.
