Staff member wouldn't listen to my concerns
Attended an appointment and found the clinician's manner to be dismissive and unhelpful. They appeared more focused on their own explanations than on listening to my concerns. I felt the diagnosis provided may not have been accurate, and when I raised this, they remained insistent rather than reconsidering. I have heard other patients express similar frustrations about feeling unheard during their appointments. Overall, the experience left me feeling unsupported and questioning whether this person is suited to a role in healthcare.

An appointment over the phone was arranged without delay. I was called for my assessment visit and was seen approximately ten minutes past my scheduled slot, which was not an issue. The healthcare professional who attended to me demonstrated competence and a pleasant manner. Overall positive experience.

Phone consultation left me feeling unheard and trapped
I've had really difficult experiences here with mental health support. During a phone consultation, I was advised that I should start antidepressants before accessing therapy. I explained that I preferred not to take medication and would rather speak with someone about what I'm going through. The clinician stated they couldn't make any referrals as that wasn't part of their role, and insisted I would need to be on medication for four weeks before anything else could be arranged. This didn't align with my understanding of how healthcare referrals typically work. I'm feeling quite lost now, as I'm taking medication that doesn't feel right for me and still haven't been able to access the talking therapy I was looking for.

Reception dismissive when requesting to speak with doctor
I contacted the practice to discuss my medication with a clinician. The receptionist who answered the call was dismissive and attempted to provide medical guidance. I explained that I preferred to speak directly with the doctor about my prescription concerns, as I felt this was more appropriate given the complexity of my situation. The receptionist appeared to take offense to this request and suggested that I was being disrespectful. I was informed that a doctor would contact me, but instead I received a message directing me to visit my pharmacy to address my medication query. I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously and that the practice did not provide adequate support or understanding for patients dealing with mental health-related issues. I was disappointed by the approach taken by both reception and clinical staff, and felt that the consultation process did not meet the standards I would have expected. 👎

Long waits despite quiet reception area
The waiting area appeared quiet despite all available appointment slots being fully booked. There have been instances where repeat prescriptions have been delayed in reaching the pharmacy by approximately a week, resulting in the pharmacy needing to submit multiple requests.
