On October 4th, 2023, at 2 pm, I encountered a frustrating situation with a female staff member. I have a known penicillin allergy, which I've consistently communicated to medical professionals. Despite this, I was inexplicably prescribed medication containing penicillin. Trusting my doctors, I initially took the pill, only to discover an allergic reaction after reading the box's ingredients. The female staff member callously blamed me for not checking the medication, completely disregarding the fundamental responsibility of healthcare providers to ensure patient safety. Isn't it their primary duty to prescribe appropriate medication? There are vulnerable individuals—deaf, blind, or otherwise—who depend entirely on medical professionals' expertise and care. If healthcare workers cannot be trusted to perform their basic responsibilities with diligence and compassion, they have no business being in this critical profession. This experience has been a harsh reminder that one cannot blindly trust medical staff, and vigilance is unfortunately necessary.

The medical professionals at this facility are truly exceptional, and I've been a patient here for years. However, the front desk staff are incredibly incompetent. I've been stuck on hold for more than an hour with just four people in the queue, and I've been first in line for half that time. It's absolutely ridiculous that it takes over an hour to answer a phone call. In terms of customer service, this place is absolutely at the bottom of the barrel, and without significant improvements to their staffing, they're unlikely to survive.

If individuals encounter issues with this medical centre, I recommend lodging a complaint with the CQC. Ideally, this will prompt them to enhance their service quality. My personal interaction with this general practice was deeply distressing. I felt completely stuck and powerless. The experience has left a significant emotional impact on me. Fortunately, I have since moved on from their care. It was only after filing a formal report that I finally received a comprehensive apology from the surgery for the ordeal I endured.

Who needs a medical professional when you've got clueless front desk staff playing doctor? Incredibly discourteous and unprofessional receptionist. Called first thing in the morning, and she's suggesting an appointment at another clinic 12 hours later. The physicians are excellent, but their team is undermined by receptionists with zero medical training who haven't taken any professional oath and seem more interested in chatting than maintaining patient confidentiality. It's ridiculous when unqualified individuals are given administrative roles in healthcare settings.

Worst medical experience ever terrible service
I consider this to be the most terrible medical practice I've ever encountered, especially when attempting to schedule an appointment, which is an incredibly challenging task. It's utterly bewildering how anyone could possibly rate this place with 5 stars - they must either be delusional or personally connected to the staff. No rational person would ever give such a high rating to this establishment. Even if you manage to secure an appointment and sit in the waiting area, all you experience is the constant, unrelenting ringing of phones that remain perpetually unanswered.

It seems like the medical staff have been reluctant to engage since the 2019 pandemic... Passing away appears more straightforward than navigating the gatekeepers (receptionists) at Conway Medical Centre, and even when you manage to get there, securing a GP appointment feels utterly unattainable. I've been struggling for two years now, making my third attempt to see my doctor, spending over an hour on hold twice with zero success.
