Beware of unprofessional receptionists at this clinic

The medical professionals are competent, but exercise EXTREME VIGILANCE with the front desk staff. They consistently misplace prescription submission forms. My spouse has witnessed and overheard reception employees engaging in inappropriate discussions about patient medical conditions (specifically a male patient experiencing sensitive health concerns) which I will not elaborate on, as I found their behavior deeply unprofessional and unethical. Terrible pharmacy service left me without medication

I'm inclined to rate this a single star due to their complete incompetence. I submitted my prescription last Monday, and after a full 10 days, they still haven't processed it, leaving me without my necessary medications. Only after I initiated contact did I discover that the GP had failed to finalize the entire prescription procedure.

Frustrating wait and impossible online booking system

I understand their hesitation about reopening, but the inability to schedule an appointment online coupled with a 47-minute (and ongoing) phone wait is frustrating. The booking system clearly needs more available slots or they should consider adding another staff member to handle calls. I started as the eighth caller in the queue, and now I'm down to the third - it seems like people just love to chat endlessly. Come on!

Compassionate doctors make nhs healthcare truly exceptional

I've been a patient at this GP practice for over a year, and I'm gradually understanding the challenges they navigate. As a cancer patient since 2016, I've noticed an exceptional commitment to detail across all levels of medical staff, from junior doctors to senior practitioners. My previous GP, who was junior, has moved on, and her replacement, Dr. A. Birdi, is a senior GP who has been outstanding. Considering my complex medical history and ongoing wound care, she truly embodies the NHS's core principle of supporting patients through difficult times. In my view, the practice has continuously improved and become more effective. I'm genuinely impressed with their service. My only suggestion would be the addition of a BT WiFi open reach hot-spot, which could streamline booking processes, accessing results, and managing referrals. Cookham has now implemented an "e-consult" service through their website, which I'm excited about. I'll keep everyone updated on my experiences. Thank you for reading.

Scheduling an appointment here is incredibly aggravating. While they offer a digital platform for booking with doctors, there's no such option for nurses, who I visit quarterly. The availability of appointment slots seems totally random and unpredictable. The medical team is fantastic, but their booking system is utterly dysfunctional.

Heartless doctors deny urgent care for sick toddler

When our local GP was closed, we contacted 111 for assistance after my toddler developed a high fever and was covered in a rash. 111 directed us to this particular GP surgery to guarantee we'd receive medical guidance promptly. However, the doctor at the clinic categorically declined to offer any medical support, citing that we were outside his designated service area. While I might comprehend such a territorial policy for an adult, denying essential medical care to a sick two-year-old represents a shocking failure of professional and humanitarian responsibility.
