Horrible receptionist makes medical practice unbearable

This general practice is absolutely terrible - the receptionist is incredibly obnoxious and unprofessional, and frankly has no business working in healthcare. This morning, I called about severe neck pain, and she casually dismissed me, suggesting I go to the pharmacy. The pharmacist, however, explained this was a serious trapped nerve issue requiring emergency physiotherapy, and offered to email the GP. When the receptionist called back, I detailed the pharmacist's urgent recommendation, but she coldly stated I'd need to wait two months for an appointment. When I emphasized the emergency nature of my condition, she callously told me to wait two entire days just to TALK to a doctor - essentially expecting me to endure intense pain with no immediate assistance. Her attitude was shockingly disrespectful and heartless. She abruptly terminated our conversation without providing any meaningful solution, leaving me to continue suffering. Her complete lack of empathy and professional conduct is unacceptable. This receptionist should be thoroughly investigated and held accountable for her deplorable treatment of vulnerable, sick patients.

I'm uncertain about the medical service provided by this GP or the pharmacy near Booth Street. The situation is incredibly perplexing, given that there are now three different GP locations, but no clear way to schedule an appointment. I strongly believe numerous patients are struggling because their health concerns aren't severe enough to warrant a hospital visit, yet significant enough to disrupt their daily lives. Despite this, we have no viable avenue to obtain proper medical assistance. This type of healthcare approach should be unacceptable, particularly when patients are registered with a GP practice yet are essentially being redirected to a pharmacy for medical guidance, effectively dismissing their health concerns.

Amazing healthcare team with genuine compassion

I'm not typically someone who writes reviews, but after seeing numerous negative comments, I felt driven to share my experience because they truly are the most exceptional medical professionals I've encountered. Throughout my ongoing health condition, I've interacted with various healthcare staff, and apart from one terrible doctor years ago, every single one has been fantastic. They've been incredibly understanding about my needle anxiety during blood tests, handling everything with efficiency while never making me feel rushed. Each doctor has consistently followed up with me via phone or text, which I find extremely convenient. The standard "call at 8am" system is universally frustrating and definitely needs addressing, but until we have a government that properly supports our underfunded and overwhelmed NHS, this seems like the best available option. With Cornbrook, you can easily book a telephone consultation within days, and they'll seamlessly arrange an in-person appointment if necessary. I also want to highlight the reception staff, who are often unfairly criticized everywhere but here are genuinely kind and helpful. I've witnessed patients being repeatedly rude to them, yet they consistently remain composed and professional. To all the staff: please continue your outstanding work and know that many patients deeply appreciate your dedication and compassion. Thank you.
