I was left waiting for approximately half an hour past my scheduled 4:30 pm appointment, signing in at 4:33 pm. While Dr. Zafar is typically a competent physician who apologized for the delay, my actual consultation was deeply disappointing. When I became emotional and started crying, she showed no compassion - not even offering a tissue - and her body language and uncomfortable silence made me feel pressured to leave. I ended up crying outside her office, feeling utterly dismissed. This experience epitomizes the alarming lack of empathy in healthcare today. Medical professionals who cannot demonstrate genuine care should step back from their roles until they can reconnect with their compassionate purpose. I've never felt more like an anonymous statistic than in that moment, questioning the value of my tax contributions and seriously considering private healthcare alternatives. To compound my frustration, Dr. Zafar incorrectly assured me my prescription was at the neighboring pharmacy. After waiting 20 minutes there, I discovered they had no record of it. This reflects a fundamentally broken healthcare system that seems to have forgotten the human element of medical care. I sincerely hope professionals in critical positions will remember the importance of treating patients with genuine understanding and respect.

After my GP visit at home, she seemed nice, but I felt misunderstood due to my autism and communication challenges. When she told me off, I wanted to cry because I never intend to upset anyone. I simply try to talk, but when pushed into a corner, how can I respond? Being scolded makes me afraid to speak, leaving me confused about asking for anything. Being treated like a child is distressing. I'm unwell and experiencing extreme pain, with medication inadequate to manage my suffering. I apologized for my communication difficulties, yet now I'm scared to speak. It's not my fault if people don't understand my way of asking for help. I'm desperate and in pain. Being spoken to harshly in my own home made me feel insignificant. Despite the challenging interaction, I appreciate that she referred me to a better hospital where I can be myself. I'm hopeful we've reached a new understanding and I'll try to follow their guidelines to maintain a good relationship. I'm grateful this surgery is understanding and listens to patients. Visiting patients at home, especially those with disabilities experiencing significant pain, is incredibly valuable. This practice has always been curious, kind, and most importantly, they truly listen. I definitely recommend joining them.

Dr. Khokhar was typically helpful, though I felt our discussion was somewhat constrained by the brief nature of the in-person appointment.

This is especially crucial for someone like me who experiences significant anxiety about such medical procedures and requires complete mental distancing.
