Patient Experience Summary

Feedback reveals persistent challenges with appointment access and booking systems, with patients reporting lengthy waits of several weeks and difficulties reaching the practice by phone. The e-consultation platform receives mixed feedback, with some patients experiencing delays in responses or technical failures, whilst others found the service efficient. Communication gaps emerge as a significant concern, including missed callbacks, cancelled appointments without notice, and limited responsiveness from reception staff. However, several positive experiences highlight courteous reception staff, supportive nursing care, and compassionate medical professionals who provide prompt prescription services. Patients consistently praise specific team members for their warmth and dedication, particularly noting efficient e-consultation processes when functioning well. The overall picture reflects a practice where access barriers and communication inconsistencies create frustration, yet individual staff members and certain service pathways demonstrate genuine commitment to patient care.

Reception experience presents the most polarised feedback, with some patients describing staff as welcoming and helpful, whilst others report rudeness, dismissiveness, and lack of courtesy. Waiting times for appointments and phone responses remain a dominant concern, with patients describing the booking process as unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming. Several reviews indicate that face-to-face consultations are difficult to obtain without first completing e-consultations or phone appointments, creating additional delays in accessing care.

Positive feedback emphasises the quality of clinical care from nursing staff and certain doctors, with patients noting compassionate treatment and effective prescription services. The practice appears to perform better with specific service types such as vaccinations and procedures, where patients report efficient scheduling and minimal waiting times. Continuity of care concerns are raised by some patients, particularly regarding temporary staffing arrangements and the impact on understanding individual medical histories.

Rushed and Dismissive Doctors Made Me Cry

Medical professionals seem fixated on addressing single symptoms without considering overall health, displaying a narrow-minded approach. Their bedside manner is shockingly insensitive, to the point where patients are often reduced to tears by their callous and dismissive attitudes.

Pharmacy Staff Helped My Parents Quickly

Being a healthcare professional, I believe I have insight into medical services. My parents have consistently experienced exceptional care, with prescription requests handled with remarkable speed and efficiency. I'm genuinely puzzled that the overall ratings don't capture the excellence I've witnessed. In my professional opinion, this is truly a first-rate service.

Terrible GP: Endless Wait and Canceled Appointments

This general practitioner is absolutely abysmal - the most terrible medical experience I've ever encountered. Seriously, you'd be better off avoiding healthcare altogether than dealing with this practice. Scheduling an appointment is impossible; you'll be stuck waiting around for at least a fortnight, only to have your appointment arbitrarily canceled. Completely worthless. Zero out of ten.

Weeks of Waiting for a Canceled Appointment

Awarding one star is actually being too kind. After enduring a three-week wait for an appointment, I was abruptly notified via text on the scheduled day that the doctor was unwell. The next available slot is another 3-4 weeks away, with no option for a phone consultation or alternative appointment. This is absolutely ridiculous. Mellisa.

Frustrating wait at the clinic today

Please explain why I can't register with another group practice. Let's see how they'll manage when they have no patients. It starts with the receptionist, who never seems to have available appointments. Then suddenly, a few minutes later, the doctor calls me in to see my son. How poorly managed this place is, and what hands we are in.

Dismissive Doctors Ignored My Concerns

I cannot in good conscience suggest this medical practice, as they completely dehumanize patients and treat them as mere numbers rather than individuals. When I requested the correction of an inaccurate record, they refused, citing potential professional consequences, yet hypocritically claim patient care is their top priority. Their callous attitude and disregard for patient autonomy are appalling. If the rating system allowed it, I would assign zero stars; even one star seems overly generous for such an unethical healthcare provider.

Absolutely terrible general practitioner office. Scheduling an appointment is nearly impossible, and even if you manage to secure one, you'll be forced to wait three weeks, only to have it abruptly canceled at the last possible moment.

Surprise Cancellation Without Any Warning

Frustrating Doctor's Office Encounter** My recent visit to my primary care physician's clinic was nothing short of disappointing. I showed up for my long-awaited appointment, only to discover it had been unilaterally canceled without any communication to me beforehand. The lack of professional courtesy was shocking and demonstrated a clear lack of consideration for patients. Having anticipated this consultation for weeks, I departed feeling utterly undervalued and dismissed. It appears that patient satisfaction is completely inconsequential to their operations. Anyone seeking dependable medical care should steer clear of this practice.

Complete embarrassment of a medical practice. They genuinely need a thorough investigation. Utter incompetence. And I won't even start discussing the front desk staff. Do yourself a favor and immediately seek out an alternative healthcare provider.

Rude Receptionist Ignored My Urgent Health Needs

I'm utterly disappointed and frustrated with my experiences at this medical practice. Despite ongoing physical and mental health challenges, I've encountered repeated communication failures. A previously scheduled mental health review never materialized, and despite my difficulties leaving home, I made an effort to help my partner register with this GP. Initially, one understanding receptionist helped me secure a mental health nurse appointment. However, today's encounter was disastrous. A dismissive receptionist flatly refused to assist me with a form, claiming she had no time, after I explained the e-consultation system was malfunctioning. She callously suggested I go to the pharmacy without understanding my medical needs. During my previous visits to submit registration forms, the surgery appeared deserted, with receptionists seemingly more interested in trivial personal conversations than patient care. Forced to contact 111, the service was remarkably different. They listened carefully, recognized the seriousness of my symptoms, and promptly arranged urgent care within an hour - a stark contrast to the surgery's indifference. The clear message is that Crayford Town Surgery desperately needs to reassess their staff, particularly their reception team. Their unprofessional behavior, including hanging up on frustrated patients seeking basic medical attention, is unacceptable. After weeks of waiting to be accepted as patients, one might find more effective diagnosis from an internet search than from their staff.

Frustrating GP with Endless Waiting

This general practitioner is absolutely the most disappointing medical professional I've encountered. When I need an urgent appointment for my child, I'm forced to wait up to two entire working days just for a response. Most GP practices offer same-day appointments with morning calls, but this practice seems completely inefficient. Multiple times, instead of actually seeing my children, they've simply redirected me to a pharmacy. When I request blood tests, they consistently refuse to conduct them, compelling me to travel to Lewisham for basic medical procedures. Even when I attempt to schedule an appointment, their follow-up is ridiculous - days later, they call questioning the purpose of my initial request, and invariably, none of my medical concerns get addressed. The only reason I'm currently registered here is due to geographical proximity, but I'm definitely planning to switch practices as soon as possible.

Shocking wait times at local surgery

It's astonishing that CQC gave this medical center a "good" rating. The soonest consultation slot was three weeks out, which is already absurd, but I accepted it. As my health worsened, I opted for a private GP phone consultation. The doctor was utterly alarmed by my condition and urged me to go directly and insist on an urgent in-person examination. I was stonewalled by an unhelpful receptionist, with no appointments seemingly accessible. The waiting area remains conspicuously vacant, as per usual. They have now additionally canceled my initial appointment and pushed it back by five days. This practice is fundamentally inadequate and fails to meet basic healthcare standards.

If you're seeking a compassionate medical practice that truly cares about patient needs, steer clear of this place. Unhelpful Doctors, Dismissive Receptionists

The front desk staff are acceptable, except when they arbitrarily determine you shouldn't consult a physician without understanding your concerns. The doctors are equally dismissive and unhelpful. They'll schedule a consultation only to send a text message canceling it, claiming you don't require medical attention. Even when your test results are borderline critical, they'll disregard your health needs. They'll casually suggest purchasing over-the-counter remedies at a pharmacy but provide zero guidance on what to buy or how to address your symptoms. It's abundantly clear that patient care is not their priority, and their indifference is truly appalling.

Frustrating Fertility Care and Rude Receptionists

Scheduling an appointment is a nightmare. The patient access care process is riddled with complicated steps, authentication apps, and still no success in booking an e-consult. The surgical center's reputation is dismally poor. On the rare occasions I've visited, some clinicians were pleasant. However, one doctor stood out for being exceptionally insensitive about my fertility challenges, offering zero guidance despite my prolonged six-year struggle. The front desk staff consistently display unprofessional attitudes; while I understand the public-facing role can be exhausting, maintaining basic courtesy is part of the job. If you're considering this medical practice, steer clear.
