Great Staff Undermined by One Rude Receptionist

The doctors here are incredibly kind and compassionate, and most of the receptionists and administrative personnel are supportive and amiable. However, it only takes one unpleasant individual to tarnish the overall experience. It's unfortunate because this particular person detracts from what is otherwise a fantastic medical practice. Her demeanor was quite poor, with only a slight improvement evident when I inquired about her name. I was attempting to address an error that had originated from the clinic’s side, yet my concern seemed irrelevant to her attitude. A few months back, I encountered a similar situation with another receptionist over the phone; it wouldn’t surprise me if they were one in the same. This individual exhibited rudeness that suggests she might benefit from pursuing a career where she finds more satisfaction—it's hard to believe I'm alone in expressing dissatisfaction regarding her behavior. On a brighter note, the nurse proved to be extremely helpful as she efficiently resolved my issue without any hassle. It truly baffles me why someone would choose to work in patient-facing positions while lacking essential interpersonal skills necessary for such roles. In fact, during my conversation today with a friend about this experience, she immediately recognized who I was referring to based on my description of that staff member's conduct.

GP's Five-Second Call Abandonment Frustrates Patient

I was anticipating a phone call from my general practitioner between 5 and 8 PM today to go over my blood test results. The entire day, I felt anxious about the outcomes, and from 5 PM onward, I kept my phone right beside me. When the doctor finally called, I had a bottle in hand that took me about two seconds to set down on the table before answering. Unfortunately, by the time I reached for my phone to pick it up, they had already disconnected; they waited less than five seconds! This situation is unacceptable and lacks compassion. While I understand that some individuals may wish to quickly get through their calls in order to leave for the day, it's essential to remember that this work is incredibly significant. My anticipation of this call stemmed from genuine concern rather than mere curiosity... How can one justify such behavior while feeling at ease with their moral compass? This experience certainly reflects poorly on that specific individual rather than condemning the practice as a whole. The rest of the team there has been exceptional; however, I'm left without many options when it comes to sharing my thoughts online regarding this encounter.

Transgender Patient Denied Treatment at Croft Medical

"Croft Medical: We Will Not Assist Trans Patients!" Individuals with prejudiced views deceived a trans woman and denied her medical care for more than five years. If you identify as trans and require assistance from your doctor, it's best to seek help elsewhere. Croft will exert every effort possible to avoid providing the necessary support. Their priorities seem to lie more in managing their notices than in ensuring patient health. During my experiences as a patient at this facility, I was accused of emotionally manipulating staff by expressing that being denied my medication was driving me towards suicidal thoughts. When I highlighted that my general practitioner had the ability to prescribe but was actively choosing not to, I was informed that this situation had political undertones. Throughout months filled with desperation and episodes of mania triggered by withdrawal—a consequence of running out of medications—I faced deadnaming and misgendering repeatedly while being told to keep quiet about my struggles after spending FIVE YEARS sourcing these medications privately due to Croft's lack of action or concern.

Positive Transformation: From Unheard to Guardian Angels

I have been a patient at Croft for numerous years. A decade ago, I often felt that my voice was not being acknowledged. However, my experiences in the past few years have greatly improved. The purpose of this review is to emphasize the outstanding staff members I've interacted with lately. This morning, I encountered receptionists who were both friendly and accommodating, as well as others who assisted me on several occasions over the last couple of years when I managed to connect with them. During today’s visit, I had an appointment with Dr. Clayton; he proved to be exceptionally considerate and attentive, making me feel genuinely heard throughout our discussion. Recently, I've faced challenges related to heightened anxiety following some physical health issues that led me close to experiencing another panic attack over the previous days. Thankfully, after meeting with Dr. Clayton today, I left feeling significantly more reassured and informed about the next steps regarding necessary tests—such as blood work—and emerged feeling much better equipped and in control of my situation. While today's consultation primarily focused on my physical well-being, Dr. Clayton also made it a point to check in on how I'm managing mentally and offered additional resources for support in that area. In December at Croft Hospital after suffering from an intense panic attack—my first ever—that required a visit to A&E before being referred back—I had yet another positive interaction with one of their doctors whose name unfortunately escapes me now; however it was truly memorable nonetheless! Although I've attempted contacting them recently for clarification regarding this physician's identity without success—I did not want to clutter phone lines unnecessarily—I would gladly share personal details if anyone wishes so they might consult with this doctor based upon my prior experience. Over time I've grappled with establishing rapport among healthcare professionals due largely because of past feelings where no one seemed inclined towards listening closely enough—but these sentiments are behind me thanks entirely owed towards incredible physicians encountered at Croft during recent visits! My heartfelt appreciation goes out directly towards all those doctors dedicatedly attending patients' needs—they lend invaluable support amid challenging circumstances while navigating limited resources available within such high-demand settings! It must indeed be incredibly stressful working under current conditions enduring tremendous expectations placed upon practitioners daily…even though there were instances where care wasn’t accessible promptly—the individuals whom provided assistance most recently felt nothing short than guardian angels providing comfort when needed most profoundly! Thank you sincerely for your dedication and service delivered amidst adversity—it has made a significant difference during times requiring compassion-filled guidance along life’s journey through uncertain waters ahead!
