Reception went the extra mile for prescription

Excellent caring service provided for my elderly relative during a holiday visit to Scotland. I would like to give special recognition to both the clinical staff member and receptionist who went above and beyond to ensure my relative received the necessary medication while away. Thank you!

Staff took time to listen and help

I had a pleasant conversation with a healthcare professional today who was very professional and approachable. They took the time to listen to my concerns. The care I received was excellent. I would also like to mention that the pharmacy team are wonderful and extremely helpful. I'm very grateful for their assistance and support with medication matters. This is a great practice.

Prescription refills blocked by endless phone queues

Extremely disappointing experience, consistently redirected to call 111, having a young child requiring ongoing medication that was initially prescribed by the practice but when attempting to obtain a repeat prescription informed that no appointments are available despite calling at different times and instructed to contact 111 instead. The 111 service online guidance indicates contacting the GP for this matter, resulting in being passed back and forth without resolution. The standard of care appears to have significantly deteriorated. Planning to switch practices immediately, would advise caution to families relying on this service for essential support when needed.

If you can manage to secure an appointment, you'll need to be prepared as availability tends to be limited with lengthy waiting times. Then you may find yourself advised to try a particular approach and return for a follow-up consultation after a period of time.
