Feedback reveals significant challenges with appointment availability and phone access, with patients reporting lengthy waits of several weeks and difficulty reaching the practice by telephone. Reception experience emerges as a key concern, with multiple accounts of discourteous interactions and dismissive communication from front desk staff. However, the nursing team and medical professionals receive consistent praise for professionalism, compassion, and competent care when appointments are secured. The registration process has been noted as efficient in some cases, though administrative organisation appears inconsistent across patient experiences. Communication failures extend beyond reception to follow-up calls that are frequently delayed or never materialised, creating frustration for those with ongoing medical needs.
While some patients report recent improvements through alternative booking systems and eConsult services, the core issue of appointment access persists as a dominant theme. Several reviews highlight the contrast between quality clinical care and systemic barriers to receiving that care, with patients describing the morning booking process as chaotic and the overall experience as unnecessarily stressful. The practice appears to operate under capacity constraints that impact responsiveness and patient convenience, though individual staff members are frequently commended for their dedication and supportive approach when direct contact is achieved.

Worst Mental Health Care I've Encountered
Terrible experience. The manager demonstrates a complete lack of understanding and sensitivity when dealing with individuals struggling with significant mental health challenges. In fact, the entire practice has been appallingly incompetent and irresponsible across the board. I strongly advise anyone to carefully reconsider before becoming associated with this establishment.

Rude Staff and Clueless Nurses at Clinic
Absolutely terrible service. The reception team seems completely clueless, and the nurses appear equally incompetent. This medical facility is a total disaster.

Worst Medical Care I've Ever Experienced
This medical practice is a complete disaster and an embarrassment. Getting past the receptionist feels like an impossible feat. You'd practically need to be on your deathbed to secure an appointment. If it weren't for the mandatory NHS contributions, I'd definitely seek private healthcare instead.

Quick Registration and Friendly Care at Dashwood House
I recently transferred to your medical practice, Dashwood House, and I want to express how seamless and efficient the registration process was, with continuous updates throughout. Last week, I used the eConsult service due to a persistent cough, and the antibiotics were ready at the pharmacy on the same day. Today, I completed another eConsult regarding my asthma and received a same-day appointment. I consulted with a wonderful advanced clinical practitioner named Mel, who was incredibly kind and put me at ease. The nurse's receptionist was also very friendly when I was scheduling my appointment. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my decision to switch to this practice. The entire experience has been positive and reassuring. Thank you

Quick and helpful NHS care at Dashwood
Despite the difficulties within the NHS, my interactions with Dashwood have been dependable, enlightening, and competent. While securing an appointment can be tricky, the implementation of E-consult has significantly streamlined the process. The personnel are warm and compassionate.

Months of Waiting for Baby's Vaccines
I'm experiencing significant frustration with the vaccination process for my infant. Despite receiving a notification prompting me to schedule immunizations, I've been informed that no appointments are currently available due to nursing staff shortages. The clinic has essentially told me they'll reach out when a slot opens up. Three months have now passed, and I'm still waiting without any resolution, which is incredibly disheartening and unacceptable.

Friendly staff and convenient pharmacy next door
The staff at the front desk have consistently been friendly and supportive, and having the pharmacy right next door is incredibly convenient. Since I recently relocated here approximately a year and a half ago, I haven't needed to consult with a doctor yet, but based on my experience so far, I'm giving this place a perfect rating.

Smooth Registration with Dr Tharka at Clinic
Signing up was a breeze. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and supportive. I was able to secure an appointment within a reasonable period, which is impressive considering the current challenges facing the NHS. Dr Tharka conducted a comprehensive examination and provided excellent guidance. All subsequent steps were managed efficiently and promptly. I'm thoroughly satisfied with the practice, despite my initial reservations based on previous feedback.

Heartless Staff Ignored My Distress
Completely unacceptable treatment. Absolutely no compassion shown whatsoever. They ought to be embarrassed by their conduct. Even if employees are constrained by protocol, their lack of empathy when a patient is visibly upset is appalling. The healthcare system desperately requires fundamental reform!

Frustrating care for a longtime patient
As an 80-year-old patient dealing with discomfort and worry, I find it disrespectful to be addressed in a condescending manner. The physicians seem genuinely committed, yet they are clearly hindered by disorganized administrative processes. It's unclear whether this stems from inefficiency or indifference. Despite my seven-and-a-half-decade-long commitment to this medical practice, I am now seriously contemplating changing providers, a sentiment shared by other family members who have encountered similarly unsatisfactory treatment.

Early Morning Frustration at the Doctor's Office
I made multiple attempts to contact them, but missed the window. Calling at 8:05 am, I found myself 10th in line. After waiting half an hour, the receptionist coldly stated they were too overwhelmed to schedule my appointment. Consequently, I was compelled to visit the emergency department. As an added note, when initially informed about my pre-diabetic condition, the doctor offered no guidance, essentially telling me I was at significant risk for Type 2 Diabetes and casually wishing me a good day.

Frustrating morning at this terrible business
Shut this business down immediately. They are completely incompetent, never picking up their phone, and then having the audacity to claim I'm calling too late for an appointment, when I've been trying to reach them since early morning. The discourteous staff even had the nerve to criticize my timing, which is outrageous. They should be embarrassed.

Tough to Get an Appointment Here
The front desk staff are unhelpful and dismissive, scheduling an appointment seems impossible, and the whole process is frustratingly inefficient. However, once you actually manage to see the medical professionals, the doctors and nurses provide quality care and are competent in their roles.

Missed infection on first pediatric visit
Good evening, on Friday, February 16, I brought my 6-year-old daughter for a medical check-up in the morning. I was concerned about a potential vaginal infection due to an unusual odorous discharge. The female physician initially examined her and prescribed an external cream, assuring me that everything was normal. However, when we returned on Monday, February 19, further testing revealed an actual infection. The doctor who saw us on Friday, February 16, clearly failed to conduct a thorough and proper examination. ADDITIONALLY, OUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT AT 9:40 AM WAS DELAYED, AND WE WERE NOT CALLED UNTIL 10:40 AM, MAKING US WAIT 40 MINUTES BEYOND OUR ORIGINAL TIME.

Receptionist Ruined My Morning at Dr. Cardwell's Office
I was taken aback by the incredibly discourteous receptionist today when I attempted to renew my prescription. She accused me of being rude, which is absurd considering I've been a patient of Dr. Cardwell for three decades and have always been respectful. This unpleasant individual completely ruined my mood with her lack of understanding. Fortunately, another staff member was extremely supportive and compassionate. I regret not getting her name to commend her excellent service.

Rude Receptionists Ruin Medical Practice
Medical staff are competent, but navigating through the front desk is challenging. The reception team communicates with patients in an incredibly patronizing manner, treating individuals as if they lack basic intelligence. Their demeanor suggests they are fundamentally unsuited to customer-facing roles, displaying a clear disdain for interpersonal interaction. It's unsurprising that the practice is currently under scrutiny for performance issues.

Impossible to Reach Staff at 8.01 am
I reluctantly awarded a single star merely to share my critique. While the staff can be accommodating if you manage to secure an appointment, every phone interaction concludes with the standard excuse that "staff are extremely occupied," even at 8:01 AM, just moments after opening. I'm skeptical whether anyone actually reviews these feedback comments, as their communication approach seems barely sufficient to warrant their continued operation. Over the past three years, I've been compelled to seek alternative solutions for addressing my family's medical needs. It's truly embarrassing and disrespectful for an established medical practice to function in such a manner.

Frustrating Healthcare Runaround After Covid
The quality of this medical practice has severely deteriorated since the pandemic. Phone communication is virtually impossible, and when you do manage to connect, you're consistently redirected with unhelpful instructions like calling back at 8am the next morning or seeking alternative care at a pharmacy or emergency room. Three years after the initial COVID disruptions, they're still using the pandemic as a justification for avoiding in-person consultations. Now, patients are forced to complete an online e-consultation, only to receive a message stating a doctor might contact you in over a week. On the rare occasion you secure a physical appointment, the consultation is dismissive - doctors seemingly just google your symptoms in front of you and suggest your concerns are psychological. The level of care is so poor that anyone with a serious medical issue is essentially left unsupported and abandoned.

Terrible Medical Practice Ignored My Forms
Discriminatory, ineffective, and completely unprofessional - I've submitted multiple forms, yet they've provided zero assistance. I sincerely hope they shut down, as this is undoubtedly the most incompetent medical facility I've ever encountered.
