Long wait times and abrupt appointment cancellation

I was tenth in the queue and waited an hour and a half before reaching the front. Once I got to first in line, I then waited a further 25 minutes. The service I received was disappointing and fell short of expectations. I would not recommend this practice to others who are trying to access their services.

Friendly staff and convenient bus stop location

The team members were welcoming and approachable. The practice is conveniently situated near public transport links. There is parking available at the back of the building for both staff and patients.

Long phone queues make appointments impossible

The staff members here are pleasant and professional. The main issue is the difficulty in securing an appointment on the day you need one, as the waiting time to get through on the phone is considerably long, and by the time someone answers, available slots have already been taken.

Friendly nurse made asthma review straightforward

I had a lovely experience at this practice. I usually attend a different location but decided to visit this one instead, and I was very pleased with my respiratory health review. The nursing staff member I saw was wonderful and provided excellent care. I would be happy to be seen by them again in the future.

Appointment availability made urgent prescriptions impossible

Securing an appointment at this practice has proven to be quite challenging. I made multiple attempts starting at 8am over several consecutive days as I urgently required repeat medications for family members managing a seasonal respiratory condition. Despite the clinical need for a review before the prescription could be issued, I was unable to obtain an appointment on the day I called or on any subsequent date offered. I was directed to contact the out-of-hours service instead. Following that contact, I had to attend an alternative practice to receive the necessary support for my family member's condition. I am currently in the process of registering with a different GP practice.

Receptionists blocking access to appointments

It has become extremely difficult to secure an appointment at this practice. The service has deteriorated significantly. Previously, I was able to see the same clinician consistently and could usually be seen on the same day. Now it appears that reception staff are making decisions about which patients receive appointments. The overall experience has been disappointing, and I am considering finding alternative care elsewhere.

Appointment mix-up left me frustrated and confused

Received correspondence requesting attendance at an appointment, followed by a reminder notification. Upon arrival, the reception staff indicated that no appointment record could be found and expressed unfamiliarity with my attendance. This was frustrating.

Reception staff ignored me for ages

I would not recommend becoming a patient here as I found the experience quite poor. The reception staff took a considerable amount of time to acknowledge my arrival and their demeanor seemed unwelcoming. When I attended my appointment, I had several concerns to discuss but was told I would need to schedule separate visits for the additional issues. My consultation was very brief and I felt my time was not well spent. Overall, I do not feel this practice deserves a positive rating.

Staff seemed more focused on money than patient care

I have had a poor experience with this service. I found the nursing and medical staff to be dismissive and unhelpful. I was concerned about a proposed change to my long-term medication and sought a second opinion from another healthcare provider, who advised that the original medication plan should be maintained. This second opinion led to the initial decision being reconsidered, which I was relieved about. Additionally, I was made to feel uncomfortable after obtaining a routine vaccination elsewhere, with the implication that this affected the practice financially. I felt that the focus seemed to be on financial considerations rather than patient wellbeing and care. I would advise prospective patients to carefully research and consider their options before registering, and to explore private healthcare if that is accessible to them.
