Patient feedback reveals significant and persistent challenges with appointment access and waiting experiences at this practice. Across multiple reviews, patients report excessive delays ranging from 45 minutes to over two hours beyond scheduled appointment times, alongside difficulties booking appointments through both phone and in-person channels. Telephone booking systems present particular obstacles, with patients describing extended hold times and limited availability, forcing some to seek care elsewhere. Reception experience emerges as a critical concern, with recurring reports of discourteous and unprofessional conduct, including dismissive attitudes toward patient concerns and lack of flexibility in applying practice policies.
While some patients praise the medical staff for thorough care, compassion, and supportive communication, these positive experiences are substantially outweighed by negative feedback regarding responsiveness and medication access. Several patients report medication-related issues, including delayed prescriptions and refusals to provide necessary medications pending reviews. Communication gaps also feature prominently, with patients describing inadequate follow-up on test results and unclear timelines for rescheduling cancelled appointments.
A smaller number of reviews highlight smooth experiences with courteous staff and efficient service, suggesting that positive care is achievable within the practice. However, the overall pattern indicates systemic issues with appointment scheduling, waiting time management, and consistency in reception staff conduct that require urgent attention to improve patient experience across the board.

Prescription Nightmare at 3:20 pm
What can I express about this dreadful experience. The pharmacy clerk, an absolute nightmare of a person, was incredibly unprofessional and cruel. I always collect my medication on Mondays, so I deliberately placed my prescription order on Friday to ensure I'd have my supply during the bank holiday. Shockingly, she completely neglected to process my prescription!!! I'm now two days without my critical medication, which could potentially trigger a seizure. Her response was delivered with pure contempt, aggressively telling me "WAIT I SAID WAIT" in a voice dripping with hostility. I'm absolutely determined to escalate this complaint. Individuals with such a disgraceful attitude have no place working in healthcare. It's now 3:20pm and my prescription remains unprocessed at the chemist.

Dr. Ariomi Dismissed My Mom's Cancer
i've got nothing but frustration with this terrible general practitioner, DR ARIOMI. i'm calling him out. my mother, who battled cancer in 2016, discovered another lump in 2019, and when she consulted this doctor, he completely brushed it off as insignificant. tragically, she died from advanced cancer on 30th june 2020. similarly, my father was diagnosed with diabetes by dr ariomi, who immediately prescribed him FOUR daily medications. after a single hospital visit, suddenly he was no longer considered diabetic. i seriously question how this individual ever obtained a medical qualification. i'm sharing this story years later because my anger still burns intensely

Quick and Painless Nexplanon Procedure
I went to the east wing to get my nexplanon implant, and Dr. Arayomi along with his nurse were incredibly kind and supportive. The entire procedure was surprisingly comfortable and not painful at all. An added bonus is that no referral is required to receive this form of birth control.

Rude Receptionist Ruined My Entire Experience
I am utterly dismayed by the disrespectful conduct of the reception staff at this medical facility. When I attempted to return a missed call from a nurse (which was unexpected), I called back merely 10 minutes later. The initial receptionist was shockingly discourteous, constantly cutting me off mid-sentence and abruptly terminating the call when I tried to provide context. This experience was deeply distressing, particularly given my already challenging personal circumstances and urgent need for understanding. Subsequently, I was compelled to redial and endure a 20-minute hold period, experiencing significant emotional strain and irritation. Fortunately, the subsequent receptionist demonstrated compassion and helpfulness, demonstrating that quality service is achievable within this practice, though it must be applied uniformly. Healthcare patients fundamentally merit compassionate and professional treatment. This medical practice urgently requires a comprehensive reassessment of how certain staff members engage with and communicate with patients.

Endless Wait and No Callback
Sitting here, phone pressed to my ear, I've been waiting for 30 minutes just to schedule an appointment - and I'm currently first in line, which is utterly absurd. I initially contacted them a week ago, and they promised to reach out about booking, yet five days have passed with zero communication. Update: I finally surrendered after being on hold for nearly an hour. I'm not typically someone who writes reviews, but I feel compelled to document this frustrating encounter.

Terrible wait time for disabled child's appointment
This establishment lacks any semblance of customer care, forcing my disabled daughter to wait an inexcusable two hours past her scheduled 3 PM appointment!!! Steer clear of this location!! They show zero consideration for others' time!!!

Missed Appointment Despite Being There Early
Arrived today at 8:20am for an 8:30am appointment. Doors opened slightly late at 8:32am. Checked in and directed to east wing. SUGGEST REVIEWING CCTV FOOTAGE Check-in time recorded at 8:32am by entrance. Seated by 8:35am. Received a text at 9:12am. Accused of not attending appointment. Future appointments now booked for 3rd March. Completely ineffective system. Squandered another 45 minutes of my morning. Falsely accused of missing appointment. Experienced numerous issues over past two years. Prescription failures × 4. Multiple alleged missed appointments. Critical medical information withheld. Specifically: fibromyalgia, Erythromelalgia, potential ME diagnosis. Consultant revealed details months after initial consultation. Additional concerns. Medical profession took approximately 20 years to diagnose fibromyalgia, Erythromelalgia, CPS and related conditions. Resulting in significant emotional distress, severe depression, and anxiety. No communication regarding crucial blood test results. Shocking lack of medical comprehension.

Insulin Prescription Nightmare at Orsett Surgery
As a type 1 diabetic for over three decades, I've always been under the diabetic team at Orsett Hospital, with prescriptions coming from my local GP surgery. Before Christmas, I sought Fiasp penfills 3ml, but discovered every pharmacy was out of stock, though they had cartridges - essentially the same product, just in a different form. I've spent the entire day, starting from 8am, shuttling between pharmacies and the surgery. At one pharmacy, the staff called the surgery to explain the stock situation, with me present during the call. They were instructed to tell me to return to the surgery at 4pm when a doctor could sign the prescription. Arriving at 4pm, I waited 30 minutes for a late doctor. I was then given a Levemir cartridge prescription for my long-acting insulin. When I highlighted this error to the receptionist, I was essentially called a liar and told this was what they were instructed to do. After arguing, the receptionist asked the doctor to reissue the prescription, but the doctor refused, stating she wouldn't prescribe anything I hadn't previously used - despite it being the same medication in a different format, and me being in urgent need. I was then dismissively told to call 111 and have demanded a direct conversation with the doctor to explain this straightforward matter. This is yet another frustrating experience at this GP surgery.

Quick and Friendly Surgery in Town
I've been a patient at this medical practice for about half a year since relocating, and I must emphasize they're the top surgery I've encountered out of the three I've visited. The staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to assist, wait times are remarkably short compared to other practices I've dealt with previously, and their customer service is exceptional - none of that frustrating telephone bureaucracy. Overall, it's an outstanding healthcare provider. The fact that I'm taking the time to write this review says a lot, as I never normally do this kind of thing 🤣

Ridiculous wait time and unprofessional doctor
Appointment time came and went, with me cooling my heels for more than 60 minutes. The physician's excuse about misplacing his phone as the reason for the delay was the last straw - I'm definitely finding a new healthcare provider.

Terrible Wait Times and Unhelpful Staff
My family and I switched to this medical centre after our previous one was utterly unacceptable, but sadly, this place is equally disappointing. With the sole exception of one interaction with a doctor who actually paid attention, I've found the entire experience frustrating. I can't even schedule an appointment because I've been stuck on hold for what feels like an eternity.

Long Wait and Strict ID Policy Frustration
I am a brand new patient who has only been with this practice for a week, and today I experienced my first truly disappointing interaction. At 8:30am, I called and was left waiting on the phone for a full hour just to request access to GP patient online services. Being number 30 in the queue was unprecedented and incredibly frustrating. When I finally spoke with someone, I was instructed that I could only set up access by personally visiting the practice with identification and completing a form. Upon arriving with that intention, I was then informed they would only accept a valid passport or driver's license - otherwise, no access would be granted. I explained to the receptionist that I possess neither of these specific forms of ID, and she simply repeated that this was their policy, offering no alternative or flexibility. The irony is that I was able to initially register as a patient without any photographic ID, yet now I'm blocked from online services. It's absolutely nonsensical! The system seems designed to make accessing basic healthcare information as difficult as possible. Without online access, patients must constantly call or physically visit the practice for every single need - from scheduling appointments to managing medications. This approach is fundamentally unfair, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this practice to anyone.

Awful doctor dismissed dad's mouth concerns
Absolutely DISGRACEFUL!!! And potentially LIFE-THREATENING!!! This evening, my father visited this so-called doctors' surgery regarding an ongoing issue of a metallic taste in his mouth, which he believes is an oral infection. After explaining his symptoms, the doctor's professional response was shocking. The GP wants to send my father for bowel cancer tests and blood work, completely ignoring the mouth problem and refusing to even examine it. When my father returned home, my mother called the surgery to complain. My mother, who is in her sixties and disabled, was met with a terrible attitude from the receptionist. Frustrated, she declared she would leave the practice, and the call was abruptly terminated. Shortly after, the phone rang again. I advised my mother to record the conversation. The surgery's manager called, claiming she overheard the previous call and was displeased with my mother's tone. After speaking with the female doctor, what I heard was unbelievable. The doctor had the audacity to call my father a liar. Claiming he came in about bowel issues and that his mouth was perfectly fine. Why would a patient visit a doctor and discuss something unrelated? And why would a doctor fabricate such statements??? To me, a doctor making false claims is potentially dangerous, and declaring my father is lying about the reason for his visit is disgraceful, untrustworthy, unprofessional, and inexcusable. I will be pursuing this matter, and with the recorded phone call my mother possesses, I'm certain the surgery will deeply regret their actions. No sense of duty from the manager, complete incompetence from the GP, and a receptionist who is rude and condescending. I firmly believe this surgery has completely lost its commitment to caring for the local community and should be shut down immediately. To those who have read this entire account, I thank you and strongly advise against allowing your family to visit this so-called medical practice.

Endless Runaround for a Simple Referral
This medical practice is an absolute nightmare. I underwent a significant operation early in the year for a potentially serious condition, and it took them nearly two years to take my concerns seriously. Now I'm experiencing similar symptoms and couldn't secure an appointment, so I consulted a private specialist who immediately drafted a referral letter. The GP refused to accept it because it was a PDF and directed me to the hospital. I was bounced back and forth until the surgery instructed me to book an appointment to obtain the referral. With my long work shifts, finding time to wait on hold at 8am is incredibly challenging. I visited on Tuesday morning requesting a same-day or next-day appointment and was told to call at 8am. When I called, I was on hold for thirty minutes and discovered no appointments were available. Another call the following morning revealed no morning slots but afternoon availability. Prioritizing my health, I decided to be late for work. I then waited nearly half an hour before having to leave again. I can only imagine how much later I would have been if I'd stayed. I'm uncertain the doctor was even present. While the receptionists are pleasant (they seem to have refreshed their staff), the overall organization, scheduling, and management are absolutely terrible. Steer clear of this place.

Painful and Unprofessional IUD Replacement Nightmare
I was directed to this clinic for an IUD replacement, but the experience was terrible. The doctor was completely inappropriate and inflicted significant discomfort during the procedure. The IUD was improperly inserted, necessitating another replacement. I absolutely will not return to this practice. It seems they're attempting to expand their patient base, but they're causing harm and potentially compromising patients' reproductive health in the process. Most disturbingly, the doctor was overly pushy about giving me his contact information to refer other women!

Professional Care for My Shoulder Pain
Top-notch healthcare facility I've been with since 2006, and I've never encountered any difficulties. The front desk staff are incredibly courteous and supportive - those criticizing them likely initiated conflicts themselves. My experience has been completely smooth. The physicians always dedicate sufficient attention to addressing my medical concerns, with my most recent issue being a trapped nerve and repetitive strain in my shoulder. They connected me with a physiotherapist who helped alleviate my discomfort. In my view, this is an exceptionally professional medical practice.

Rude Receptionist Denied My Asthma Pump
The receptionist's service was utterly appalling. She brazenly claimed I'm not asthmatic simply because I haven't had an inhaler prescribed since 2020, suggesting it was a childhood condition that no longer applies! How incredibly insulting! She flatly refused to help me, even as I desperately pleaded for assistance. I've been struggling with breathing difficulties for years, partly because I'm terrified of medical visits, and this experience perfectly illustrates why. Every single time I come here, I end up in a confrontation with a receptionist who seems to believe they're qualified to diagnose medical conditions. This surgery is shamefully unprofessional, displaying zero compassion or customer service from the moment the call was answered. The staff's attitude is completely unacceptable - if they can't treat patients with basic respect and kindness, they should find a different line of work!
