Endless Waiting and Frustrating Phone Calls

If I could give this GP zero stars, I absolutely would. They've been virtually useless since the 'pandemic' began, displaying excessive caution about what appears to be nothing more than a common cold. Moreover, a specific receptionist has repeatedly spoken to me in a disrespectful manner. I've been waiting nearly two years for a follow-up at the balance clinic, with each side blaming the other for the lack of referral. Meanwhile, I continue to suffer from vertigo and balance issues. I've been forced to pay for private blood tests because they refuse to arrange them, which is a significant financial burden I cannot sustain. Approximately a month ago, I called to explain my need for a blood test due to high iron levels and concerning symptoms. I was told to schedule a telephone appointment, which was set for two and a half weeks later. The day before the appointment, I was informed the doctor was sick, and the appointment was cancelled, requiring me to restart the entire process. Their phone system is a nightmare - you're subjected to four minutes of coronavirus information before joining a queue, then left on hold indefinitely, with a 90% chance no one will even answer. This GP is completely unfit for purpose, and frankly, the entire NHS is failing its patients.

Late again at this frustrating clinic

I'm here for a 1:30 appointment, and the receptionist has already informed me that the doctor won't be available for another 45 minutes! This is a recurring issue I've experienced before. Their time management is absolutely terrible! If they're consistently behind schedule, why not simply schedule my appointment for 2 PM in the first place? Where's the common sense in this approach?

I can't recall the specific doctors' names, but I interacted with two different female staff members during separate conversations. Both were absolutely wonderful, showing incredible empathy, and for the first time, I felt genuinely heard. Following our phone consultation, they even conducted a thoughtful wellness follow-up. I'm perplexed by this practice's low ratings and am convinced these negative reviews cannot be a reflection of the medical professionals who provided my care.

Missed Diagnosis Nearly Cost Me Everything

I'm currently registered with Dr Arayomi's practice and attempted to consult about mental health concerns... they abruptly cancelled my appointment, and when I called the following day, they were unable to provide a clear timeline for rescheduling, merely placing me on a waiting list for a phone consultation.... it's fortunate I'm not experiencing suicidal thoughts, as this experience could have potentially pushed me into a critical state. I'm actively seeking alternative medical providers because these professionals seem solely focused on patient numbers rather than care. Absolutely appalling.... Furthermore, I had been repeatedly visiting the surgery for ongoing health issues... until ultimately switching practices, where after just two consultations, doctors discovered a significant brain tumour... which contrasts starkly with 7 months of repetitive, ineffective advice from Dr Arayomi and merely one month of targeted appointments and an MRI at my new practice leading to diagnosis. I filed a formal complaint with the NHS... and unsurprisingly, no meaningful action was taken.

Dismissive Doctor Ignored My Chest Pains

The physician displayed an appalling lack of professionalism and empathy. When I described my chest discomfort, he dismissively claimed it was stress-related, attributing my symptoms to my speaking pace. I tried explaining that my symptoms were actually linked to medication changes, but he stubbornly argued against my perspective. When I confidently shared my understanding of IBS triggers, his condescending response was to sarcastically suggest I should just follow those triggers to reduce my medication needs. His attitude was completely unhelpful and demeaning.

Terrible GP Ignored My Disabled Partner's Needs

I am utterly disgusted with this general practitioner. My partner, a triple amputee missing both legs and one arm, relies critically on his essential medication. His medical condition is permanent and unchanging. Yet, the doctors persistently and inexcusably refuse to prescribe his necessary medication. He has been forced to undergo multiple reviews for his zopiclone, a medication he desperately needs due to unbearable, unrelenting pain. Given his physical limitations, it is incredibly challenging for him to independently manage transportation, particularly while caring for our 5-month-old daughter while I work. Our first Christmas with our child will undoubtedly be ruined by his impending severe sleep deprivation. He is completely incapacitated and unable to function in daily life due to his inability to sleep. Remarkably, despite having a recent medical review just last month, his medication remains unprescribed until they can schedule another unnecessary doctors' appointment. This general practitioner's behavior is absolutely reprehensible.
