Reception staff dismissive and unhelpful throughout

I had a very poor experience with this practice. I felt the service fell short of expectations and had concerns about the quality of care provided. I was disappointed by what I perceived as a lack of transparency and felt that financial considerations may have been prioritised over patient wellbeing. I also had concerns about how my medical records were handled and felt that changes made to my history were not adequately explained to me.

Short wait and spacious waiting room

The appointment had a brief wait, with few patients in the reception area and seating arranged at good distances. Both the nursing staff and practitioner were extremely supportive and pleasant throughout the visit.

Missed a truly exceptional GP

The previous doctor at Distington Medical Surgery is no longer there. They were an exceptional healthcare professional.

Phone answered quickly without long queues

My spouse and I have recently become patients at this practice. It represents a welcome change from our previous healthcare provider. The clinical staff and reception team are remarkably efficient, friendly and supportive. The receptionists respond to calls promptly without the lengthy delays we experienced at our former practice. While all staff in general practices face considerable pressure currently, we have found this practice to be exceptionally well-organised. We appreciate the efforts of the entire team.
