Pick somewhere else

Emergency referrals go unsent and actioned smashing care guidelines of 14 days. I have even had hospitals chasing them up on my behalf to get anything done. Nobody will give a straight answer and no staff seem to have the authority to access any computer systems when you chase things up. Whilst I have been a patient here for many years I will be moving as I have no faith in their ability to provide a reasonable level of care.

Struggling to schedule a medical consultation - they keep redirecting me to the ER or local pharmacy instead. When I asked the pharmacist, they confirmed I need a proper doctor's examination... 🤷‍♀️ Completely frustrated with the healthcare run-around.

Frustrating wait for a simple appointment

I scheduled an online consultation for the following day, and within an hour, the receptionist phoned to cancel, stating I require a physician consultation rather than a nurse for my condition. I conveyed to her that even if I rang at 8am, securing an appointment would be impossible. She reassured me they would definitely resolve the issue. When I called, I was sixth in the queue, only to be informed no appointment was available and suggested waiting until Saturday to book at their so-called hub. Utterly disgraceful. The purpose of having a GP seems pointless; the time wasted on the phone might as well have been spent heading directly to the emergency department.

Quick and helpful reception team

Whenever I've reached out, they've been incredibly responsive. I've consistently received same-day scheduling and prompt email replies. Their service is absolutely impeccable! Update 20.01.25 - After reading other reviews, I'm genuinely surprised. In my personal experience, the reception team has always been exceptional - courteous and supportive. For scheduling, I highly recommend utilizing the new Accurx online platform. I've personally used it three times recently, and each time I received a callback within just a couple of hours. This system works brilliantly for both telephone and in-person consultations.

Missed appointment because of unhelpful staff

The front desk personnel are absolutely terrible. I arrived ahead of schedule for my appointment, and a staff member instructed me to wait, then after thirty minutes claimed I had missed my slot because they "couldn't read my mind". Steer clear of this place - the frustration isn't worth it. When you're already feeling under the weather, the last thing you want to deal with is disrespectful and arrogant reception staff.

Tracy helped me with urine samples

I can't comprehend how someone could rate this GP practice so low.. despite the potentially overwhelming patient load, they truly go above and beyond to provide care. Tracy at reception is simply an absolute gem, and when I needed to collect urine samples for my toddler, she was incredibly helpful. Even during a busy period, she ensured I had everything required, including specialized collection bags to make the process easier. Whenever we contact the practice with urgent concerns, particularly regarding our young child, they guarantee same-day consultations. The doctors are consistently compassionate and responsive, with Dr Shah and Dr Davies being particularly outstanding, though the entire team is excellent. I'm not typically someone who writes reviews, but a 2.9-star rating feels completely unjust. Considering the immense pressures facing the NHS, this practice is delivering remarkable service, and I am genuinely grateful for their dedication and support!

Thirty years and service has tanked

Absolute chaos. Having been a patient here for three decades, this is undoubtedly the lowest point in the practice's history. Securing an appointment is virtually impossible. When I miraculously managed to get one, I felt completely steamrollered. The doctor bombarded me with questions without giving me a chance to explain my concerns. I left the consultation feeling completely bewildered and uninformed. What's the purpose of such an encounter? Attempting to retrieve test results is equally frustrating. You're condemned to spend at least an hour on hold, and can only access results during an absurdly narrow two-hour window. I attempted to register for online results, but that system is perpetually non-functional. The practice's quality has dramatically deteriorated since Dr Thavapalan's departure.
