Doctors who actually listen to your concerns

There have been occasions when we felt our concerns were not fully heard during appointments. However, during our recent visits and previous consultations, we have encountered two clinicians who genuinely take time to listen to their patients and address the underlying issues rather than simply offering generic guidance and issuing prescriptions. These two practitioners stand out as among the most attentive we have experienced at the surgery, comparable only to our original clinician from many years ago. We are grateful for the exceptional care and attention these clinicians have provided to our family.

Amazing surgery

Been here for quite some time and can honestly say Dr Khuroo, Dr Fareed and the others take great care in the health and wellbeing. the reception staff are amazing front of the practice too, when ever i have a query but no appointment they ensure to ask the GP and get back to me on the same day. Never have I had this type of treatment at my previous surgery so i am glad I moved.

I have been attending this practice for several years and have encountered various challenges during my time here. Throughout these experiences, there has been one member of staff who has consistently demonstrated professionalism and courtesy in their interactions. I am grateful for their support! This staff member is remarkably supportive and consistently finds a constructive resolution, even in situations beyond their direct authority. The primary reason I would recommend this practice is due to this individual's excellent service! While it is fair to say the clinical team has improved, this particular staff member manages to distinguish themselves among their colleagues.

The recent online system changes are frustrating. I'm unable to access certain features and encounter difficulties when attempting to schedule appointments through the online portal, as the process directs me to complete a form that appears to have technical issues. This approach seems particularly problematic for older patients who may struggle with digital systems. If appointments aren't being booked by reception staff through traditional methods, it's unclear what their role has become.

Delayed response to hospital discharge recommendations

I rated my experience with the surgery as very poor due to inadequate follow-up care after my hospital discharge and the failure to promptly act on a clearly outlined hospital treatment plan. The discharge documentation and specialist correspondence were detailed in specifying the recommended medication and the reasons for continuing it pending further specialist review. However, I experienced delays and confusion regarding the prescription process, even after the hospital made direct contact with the practice requesting an urgent assessment. The absence of prompt action resulted in a worsening of my health and caused considerable worry for both myself and my family. I felt that the explicit guidance provided by the hospital was not treated with sufficient importance and that there was a gap in communication and coordinated care between hospital and primary care services. In summary, I believed that the practice's response did not appropriately reflect the gravity or time-sensitive nature of the situation, despite the hospital documentation being unambiguous and detailed.

A member of the reception team at this practice is exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. They demonstrate a genuine compassionate approach and consistently make extra effort to support patients. I feel fortunate whenever I interact with them regarding appointments, prescriptions, or digital health platform queries, as they always endeavour to assist with a friendly demeanor. I wish this staff member and the entire practice continued success and all the very best.

Painless blood test with skilled technique

Had a blood test appointment. The phlebotomist was very skilled and precise, making the procedure virtually painless. The experience was handled professionally and efficiently.

Long waits meant I left before being seen

This practice does well with prescription management and the reception team are friendly. I feel a bit bad because I was somewhat short with one of the staff members due to frustration about delays. I rarely attend appointments in person, but when I do, I consistently experience significantly longer waits than my scheduled time. I've noticed other patients who arrived after me being called through before me, which doesn't seem right. My appointment was booked for 10:20am and I wasn't called until around 10:45am. A few minutes late is understandable. Ten minutes might be acceptable if there's a patient needing extra time. But 15, 20 or 25 minutes suggests a lack of respect for patients' time. I felt so frustrated that I decided to leave before I said something I'd regret. I won't be attending in person again if I can help it. If the practice insists on face-to-face appointments, I'll seriously consider switching to another surgery. Perhaps that would suit them anyway. I should mention that I suspect I may have some underlying health conditions that contribute to my difficulty managing frustration, which is why my reaction was quite strong. All I really wanted was to be seen at my scheduled time, just once. Thanks anyway.

I received excellent care during my blood test appointment. I typically find this procedure challenging due to needle anxiety, but the healthcare professional was wonderful and managed to complete it successfully on the first attempt. I'm very grateful for their skill and reassurance.

Had an appointment today with a member of the nursing staff. They took my blood pressure, conducted a blood test, and performed an ECG. They informed me beforehand what they would be doing and explained everything as they went along. Despite not feeling their best, they maintained a professional approach throughout.
