Patient feedback reveals a mixed experience with significant variation in service quality across different areas of the practice. Medical professionals consistently receive praise for their clinical expertise, compassion, and accessibility, with patients noting responsive care and genuine attentiveness during consultations. However, reception and administrative services present considerable challenges, with recurring complaints about difficult appointment access, lengthy phone waiting times, and inconsistent courtesy from front desk staff. Prescription processing delays and disorganised administrative procedures are frequently cited concerns, particularly affecting patients with chronic conditions requiring timely medication management.
The booking experience emerges as a major pain point, with patients describing the appointment system as frustrating and complicated, involving multiple phone calls and unclear processes. Phone communication difficulties are especially problematic, with reports of long hold times, disconnections, and staff displaying dismissive attitudes. While some patients praise individual reception team members for their helpfulness and professionalism, others describe encounters marked by lack of empathy and unhelpful responses to patient inquiries.
Online services including e-consultations and appointment booking platforms receive mixed feedback, with some patients finding them efficient and responsive, whilst others encounter technical issues and confusing navigation. The practice appears to struggle with capacity management, with several patients noting that despite accepting new registrations, appointment availability remains severely constrained. Long-term patients tend to report more positive experiences, suggesting service consistency may have declined or that workload pressures are affecting current operations.

Quick and Efficient GP Care
Excellent primary care practice. Highly satisfactory interactions with all medical professionals encountered. The electronic consultation platform functions effectively, enabling appointment scheduling based on clinical priority and urgency. Patients can typically secure consultations within a short timeframe when medically necessary. Prescription processing is consistently prompt and efficient. The blood testing system operates smoothly.

Waited 30 Minutes for a Ghost Appointment
Scheduled me for a consultation with a staff member who was clearly away on vacation. I'm sure they were laughing about the mix-up while I sat around wasting my time for thirty minutes like an idiot. Absolutely cannot rely on this medical practice.

Prescription Nightmare for My 90-Year-Old Grandparent
Prescription renewals should be a straightforward process for a medical practice... So why, when a pharmacy submits a request, would you expect an elderly patient to personally pick up the prescription at the clinic? It's been 11 frustrating days, involving numerous phone calls to the surgery and unnecessary trips to the pharmacy to resolve this issue. The staff offered no apologies, and their response was not just unhelpful, but verging on dismissive and discourteous.

Caring Doctors Helped My Family This Holiday
I've been a patient here since September, and I've had consultations for both my kids and myself. The reception staff are incredibly supportive and always go out of their way to assist you when you call. The doctors, particularly Dr Jessica and Dr Melissa, are exceptionally compassionate and attentive. They were proactively thinking ahead before the Christmas break, providing comprehensive guidance on managing potential health scenarios for children during the holiday period - truly demonstrating their thoughtfulness. Dr Melissa was especially thorough, walking me through my blood test results and promptly coordinating all required follow-up tests.

Friendly receptionist made our new GP visit easy
Hands down, the most exceptional receptionist I've encountered at this medical practice. They demonstrated remarkable compassion, support, and clarity, particularly during our recent relocation. Throughout our son's multiple visits for different health concerns since his birth, the physicians have consistently provided top-notch, professional care. I wholeheartedly endorse this general practice.

Dysart clinic treated us well
Not bad at all - nothing to grumble about, really - I'm unsure what some folks anticipate from a complimentary, walk-in healthcare service. The staff at Dysart have consistently provided excellent care for me.

Quirky doctor, same old routine after years
Unchanged for over a decade Now resorting to ear coverings Bedside approach - worth ejecting you! Yet I'll continue conversing - without raising my voice Amid the mechanical, standard recitations REQUIRE 'ADHESIVE TAPE' for SUCH MOMENTS!!! (Not identifying the physician - but feel free to speculate. ;)

Blood Tests Made Easy and Kind
I highly endorse this medical center, as on every occasion I've been there, the staff have demonstrated exceptional courtesy, expertise, and genuine empathy - a combination that has become increasingly rare in general practice settings. For my blood tests, I've consistently had positive interactions and want to extend particular gratitude to their wonderful reception team.

Endless Wait and Unhelpful Staff at GP Office
This general practice is absolutely terrible. Getting through on the phone requires endless waiting, and even after that ordeal, most staff members are incredibly discourteous and completely unwilling to address any inquiries. They repeatedly respond with dismissive phrases like "Sorry, we can't do that right now" or "We have no information available." When patients seek clarification, the staff become defensive, claiming they lack time due to high call volumes. We waste hours attempting to obtain basic information, and their supposed "zero tolerance" policy feels more like a shield against customer service. They seem to forget that patients are taxpaying individuals deserving basic respect, treating us as if we're begging for a free service. The staff are completely useless. However, it's worth noting that the actual doctors and nurses are excellent.

Caring doctors who really listen
As someone who tends to voice concerns frequently, I've been with this practice for six years. The front desk team is exceptional, consistently demonstrating a genuine desire to assist patients to the best of their abilities. The physicians are supportive and, with only one isolated incident, have consistently displayed professionalism and compassion. Whenever I've brought up any worries, I've been heard and taken seriously. I feel truly fortunate to have found such a responsive and caring medical practice.

Prescription Errors Left Me Without Medication
I was a patient at Dysart Surgery for over two years until relocating. With a chronic bone-related condition requiring daily specialized medication that must be manually prescribed and laboratory-manufactured, I experienced consistently terrible service. From my initial registration through two weeks after moving, the interactions were frustrating, primarily due to the secretarial staff's apparent indifference to patient needs and extremely complicated administrative procedures between staff and physicians. Despite attempting to explain my unique medical situation to multiple doctors, approximately half of my prescription requests were either incorrectly typed or misplaced. At one critical point, I was without essential medication for nearly a month - a situation I consider medical negligence that is unacceptable, particularly for someone with a chronic condition requiring daily treatment. While requesting a final prescription to bridge my transition to a new GP, the Dysart staff completely ignored my request and simply removed me from their patient records. Although a few physicians, such as Dr. P. Ryba, demonstrated professionalism and care, I cannot in good faith recommend this surgery or rate them higher than 1 star out of 5. This is especially true for patients with severe or long-term medical conditions, for whom the risk is simply too great.

Urgent insulin prescription still not issued
I recently joined this medical practice as a new patient. Being a type I diabetic, I depend on consistent insulin prescriptions. I submitted my initial online medication request on 25 October, yet by the 29th, no prescription had been processed. When I visited the surgery in person that day, a friendly receptionist promised to have the GP sign off on my prescriptions immediately. Upon checking the online service on 1 November, I discovered the prescriptions were still marked as "requested" rather than "issued", prompting another call to the surgery. A second courteous receptionist explained the original GP was absent and pledged to forward my request to another doctor right away. While the reception staff have been consistently helpful and polite throughout this experience, I'm deeply concerned and anxious: I deliberately request my repeat medications well in advance to prevent potential health emergencies, but over a week has now passed for this critical, life-sustaining medication. Though this might be an isolated incident, it raises serious doubts about the practice's efficiency and makes me question whether I should seek a different surgery that demonstrates more reliable and timely handling of prescription requests for patients with chronic conditions.

Rude Receptionists Ruined My Medical Visit
Absolutely shocking, discourteous, dysfunctional, lacking compassion, devoid of empathy, speaking to customers with such hostility as if our call to the reception was an inconvenience! The medical professionals are remarkably skilled, but the front desk staff seem trapped in a time warp from decades ago! Steer clear of telephone interactions at all costs, as they will abruptly terminate the call! Additionally, they refuse to identify themselves and become aggressively defensive if you dare to challenge their unprofessional phone manner!!!
