Patient Experience Summary

Feedback reveals a practice with significant operational challenges centred on appointment access and reception experience. Patients consistently report difficulties securing consultations through both telephone and online booking systems, with extended waiting times and unavailable slots cited as persistent problems. Reception staff interactions are frequently described as dismissive, discourteous, and unhelpful, particularly when patients require assistance or have complex needs. Communication breakdowns are evident across multiple service areas, including referral management, prescription handling, and appointment confirmations.

In contrast, clinical care receives notably positive feedback from many patients. Medical professionals are frequently praised for compassionate, thorough examinations, clear explanations, and genuine engagement with patient concerns. Several patients highlight specific doctors and nurses for their warmth, reassurance, and professional competence, with some noting meaningful improvements in their health outcomes through continuity of care.

The practice demonstrates inconsistency in service quality. While some patients report recent improvements in reception staff demeanor and appointment processes, others continue to experience frustration with booking inefficiencies and unresponsive communication. Administrative systems appear to require substantial review, particularly regarding appointment availability, online functionality, and staff responsiveness to patient needs.

Terrible morning wait at local pharmacy

This JP clinic is absolutely terrible, the worst I've encountered. They claim to be open 7 days a week, but when you try to book a morning appointment at 8, their response is dismissive: "We don't have space, call NHS 111." Then why even operate a practice? The pharmacist working as a doctor acts like he owns the place, with an attitude that suggests he's possibly from India or Pakistan and may not even have a valid visa.

Friendly staff but impossible gp appointments

The reception and pharmacy personnel are incredibly welcoming and compassionate, but the difficulty of securing a GP appointment is absolutely frustrating, especially given the large number of doctor's rooms in this practice. I'm dealing with a serious medical condition that has already required multiple hospital visits for the same issue. I genuinely feel that doctors like mine aren't considering patients in my situation. I'm in critical need of medical guidance and support from my GP. After spending over a month in hospital, I was instructed to consult my general practitioner, but I'm left wondering: what's the purpose of having a GP if they're unable to provide meaningful assistance? That's the essence of my concern.

Terrible registration process with terrible service

The initial registration attempt was allegedly my fault, according to their explanation. They managed to register my wife successfully, but not me. During the subsequent attempt, they rejected my form, making this entire group a complete mockery. I strongly advise steering clear of this organization - it's absolutely the most terrible experience I've encountered.

Terrible gp left mum seriously ill

This surgical practice is absolutely dreadful beyond description. Despite reaching out early in the morning, they consistently fail to schedule appointments. They neglected to provide my mother with necessary antibiotics for her infection, ultimately resulting in her hospitalization due to her weakened immune system. Now, when I've contacted them about my father experiencing the same infection, they remain unresponsive. I'm left wondering exactly when one is supposed to successfully communicate with them. The receptionists display a shocking lack of empathy and seem indifferent to the patients they've let down - it's appalling that they're employed within the NHS. This medical practice is so incompetent that they could potentially endanger your health. Without exaggeration, this represents the most abysmal healthcare experience I've ever encountered. I strongly urge anyone to avoid this GP at all costs - trusting them could quite literally put your life at risk.

Awful doctor dismissed my friend's concerns

I accompanied my friend to her consultation with Dr. Singh, and the experience was deeply frustrating. The doctor was incredibly dismissive and insensitive, belittling my friend's legitimate health concerns by claiming she was too young to have any real medical problems. Despite my friend clearly experiencing significant health issues, Dr. Singh arrogantly insisted she was perfectly fine, displaying a shocking lack of professional empathy and medical understanding.

Supportive after three decades at eagle house

Throughout my three-decade relationship with Eagle House, there have been ups and downs, much like life's typical journey. Recently, during the past half-year, I've been particularly impressed by the warmth and support of the reception staff. I want to sincerely acknowledge their dedication, as I've personally observed how demanding their role can be, interacting with people from diverse backgrounds. MY ADVICE IS SIMPLE: TREAT THEM WITH THE SAME RESPECT I DO, AND YOU'LL LIKELY RECEIVE KINDNESS IN RETURN.

Missed our baby's shot because of strict policy

A truly disappointing encounter with subpar customer service. The clinic denied my infant his scheduled vaccination simply because I arrived 10 minutes past the appointed time. What's worse, they had previously cancelled another vaccination slot due to staffing issues, and showed no professional courtesy by failing to personally inform me. Instead, they sent a last-minute cancellation text just an hour before the appointment.

Endless waiting and lost referrals nightmare

I've encountered the most incompetent GP who has caused me back pain and subjected me to an exhausting appointment process with a 53-minute wait, only to find no available slots. Eventually, I managed to secure an appointment after persistent attempts. Subsequently, two months passed with zero updates on my referral. After calling them, they instructed me to schedule another appointment, forcing me to waste more time waiting from 7:59 onwards and repeating this process for weeks. I finally booked another appointment and attended it. Yet again, no progress was made. I started investigating and discovered from my physician that I actually had two referrals in April and September. The fundamental issue was my GP sending documents to my old address twice, preventing me from receiving any correspondence. This is absolutely appalling, squandering my time, energy, and mental well-being. After eight months, we've circled back to the exact point where I initially began - it's utterly ridiculous that my GP is now suggesting I book yet another appointment.
