Receptionist rudeness and impossible appointment slots

I was disappointed with my experience at this practice. The reception staff came across as unwelcoming to patients. Finding an available appointment proved very difficult, as slots seemed to be allocated extremely quickly after the booking lines opened. I would hesitate to recommend this GP practice to others.

I have been a patient at this practice for over seven decades throughout my entire life. The surgery has relocated on several occasions during this time. Whenever I require medical care, I remain hopeful that the practice will be able to see me. I recognise that this is not always feasible. However, I am confident that once circumstances stabilise following the pandemic period, the level of care and attention that patients deserve will be fully restored.

Quick response through the NHS app

Had a wonderful experience with the service today. I completed an online form through the NHS app last night and was told I'd hear back by 6 in the evening. A message came through around 7 in the morning, and I received a call shortly after 10. I then attended the surgery for my appointment and everything was sorted out. Really pleased with the service provided today. Hoping to feel better soon. Thanks :)

The service at this practice is disappointing. Obtaining an appointment is consistently difficult. I am instructed to call at a specific time in the morning, but when I do, there are never any available slots, and the phone line takes an extended period to answer, which suggests insufficient staffing on the switchboard. On several occasions, I have needed to contact an alternative service to secure timely medical attention.

Doctor hung up before I could answer

I had a telephone appointment scheduled and I'm extremely disappointed with how it went. The clinician called my phone but ended the call almost immediately, before I had a chance to answer. Getting appointments is already quite difficult, and this experience made it even more frustrating. I really needed this appointment and when I tried to arrange another call, there was no callback offered. It's disheartening given what we contribute to the NHS.

My condition deteriorated substantially before I sought emergency care, where investigations identified that my symptoms were caused by pancreatitis.
