Fancy office, impossible to see doctor

The updated facility appears impressive, but getting medical attention is nearly impossible. Appointments are inexplicably limited to Tuesdays, even though the clinic is never crowded. After laboriously recounting your complete medical background to whoever happens to pick up the phone - be it administrative staff, cleaning personnel, or another random employee - they invariably attempt to steer you towards a telephone consultation instead of an in-person examination. While the physical space has been beautifully renovated, the operational management and staffing have never been more dysfunctional.

After being a patient at this practice for three decades, I've witnessed a dramatic decline in patient care. Although I rarely seek medical attention, I urgently needed to see a healthcare professional, but was dismissively told to call 111 or visit the emergency room. During my visit to clarify a concern, the reception staff appeared completely disinterested, with all the female employees engaged in casual conversation. I felt utterly disregarded and humiliated. When someone finally acknowledged me, she provided minimal information, dismissively stating she would send a link to my phone. Her lack of willingness to assist or explain anything seemed potentially rooted in discrimination, given my status as a white foreigner. Consequently, I terminated my membership and returned to my previous general practitioner, where I had been a patient for five years. In contrast, my old GP consistently provided excellent service both via telephone and in-person, with doctors who consistently demonstrated genuine empathy and understanding - qualities entirely absent from this terrible establishment. The staff's unprofessional attitude suggests they are unsuited to their roles, and if they are unwilling to work and support patients, they should not be in customer service positions. After all, patients indirectly contribute through their payments and deserve a basic standard of respect and dignity.
