Impossible to get through on the phone
I would advise against choosing this practice. They are extremely difficult to get in touch with. The website appears to be non-functional. They do not offer the option to book appointments in advance. I have rated them one star in order to submit this review, though even that feels generous given my experience. The service has been deeply disappointing. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Dismissed concerns for years before serious diagnosis
I have serious concerns about the care I received at this practice, having been a patient since childhood. For approximately two years, I repeatedly raised concerns about my child's mobility with the clinical team. After transferring to another practice and being referred for imaging, a significant neurological condition was identified. However, my child was not diagnosed until age seven, despite my observations suggesting concerns from around age three. Additionally, I experienced persistent headaches for roughly eight years while under the care of this practice. My contraception was adjusted on multiple occasions, but the underlying cause of my symptoms was never properly investigated. After relocating abroad and consulting with different healthcare providers, I struggled to recall the exact timeline of my symptoms. I subsequently reported experiencing migraines alongside hair loss and weight gain. Blood tests were performed and came back unremarkable. Some months later, I experienced a serious neurological event that prevented me from working. Within days, I was diagnosed with a significant brain condition requiring surgery. A biopsy later confirmed a serious diagnosis. I was thirty-two years old. My experience has taught me that it is crucial to advocate firmly for yourself when you believe something is genuinely wrong with your health, and not to accept dismissal of your concerns.

Impossible to get through on the phone
Attempting to secure an appointment with a clinician feels incredibly difficult. It is exasperating, stressful, and deeply irritating. I have made numerous attempts to contact the practice by phone, only to be repeatedly told that no appointments are available. What makes this particularly frustrating is that when calling at the designated time, the line is constantly engaged and calls are frequently disconnected. It would be beneficial if decision-makers understood that there are many health concerns requiring attention beyond current circumstances. There is concern that patients are going undiagnosed with various medical issues because access to clinical consultations remains challenging.

I believe it's unfair for people to post negative reviews about the reception team online. They're simply following instructions and doing their job, and they're not responsible for appointment availability issues. I understand it can be frustrating at times, but we all recognise that the NHS is under significant strain and there's a shortage of healthcare professionals.

Long wait then turned away at the door
I waited four months to be seen by a dietary specialist, only to arrive and face a requirement to wear a face mask despite having an exemption badge. I felt my exemption was not properly respected or accommodated. Additionally, upon arrival, I was informed that the clinician I was scheduled to see was unexpectedly unavailable that day. This resulted in wasted travel costs and I was simply directed via text message to contact the council for support instead. I found this experience frustrating and disappointing, and I am now seeking care elsewhere.

Excellent healthcare professionals. I'm always able to secure an appointment when something urgent comes up. For less pressing matters, I'm prepared to wait for availability. The team consistently demonstrates kindness and thoughtfulness both over the phone and during visits. I've been seen by most of the clinicians at the practice and have received good care each time. This surgery is significantly better than my previous one. Much appreciated.

Long waits and dismissive reception staff let me down
I found the service quite frustrating. The wait to secure an initial appointment was lengthy, and I felt the initial assessment didn't identify the underlying issue. This meant I experienced further discomfort over several additional months whilst attempting to arrange a follow-up. Eventually, I was able to attend an ultrasound appointment which revealed what was actually going on, and I received guidance to speak with my GP about the suggested treatment plan. However, getting a subsequent appointment proved extremely difficult. I was advised that no slots were available and instructed to call at 8.30 each morning to try to catch any cancellations. This approach was impractical for me given work commitments, as I would need to spend considerable time on hold without guarantee of success. The reception staff came across as unhelpful, and I also had concerns about the quality of care provided by the clinical team. I felt that at least one member of staff may have been better suited to a different role.

Appointments were not appearing on the online system as expected, despite checking regularly at the scheduled times. This difficulty in accessing timely appointments may contribute to increased pressure on hospital services.

I have been attempting to secure an appointment for the past week without success, as I am repeatedly informed that no slots are currently available and advance booking is not possible. I have been advised to keep attempting daily. This approach is impractical for someone who is employed, as it requires constant phone availability. On Monday alone, I spent three hours trying to reach the practice, despite calling from early morning. I find the appointment system to be problematic and have decided to transfer my family to a different practice, as I am unable to assess the quality of care when I am unable to access appointments in the first place. I would rate this experience as low as possible.
