Patient Experience Summary

Feedback reflects a predominantly negative experience with significant operational and communication challenges. Patients consistently report prolonged waiting times for phone access, with calls frequently going unanswered or dropping after extended holds. Appointment booking presents substantial difficulties, whether through online systems or telephone contact, with many describing the process as inaccessible or confusing. Reception staff conduct is a recurring concern, with multiple accounts of dismissive, discourteous, or unhelpful interactions that leave patients feeling unwelcome. Prescription processing experiences widespread delays, sometimes lasting weeks, creating genuine hardship for those managing chronic conditions.

In contrast, medical professionals themselves receive consistent praise for professionalism, attentiveness, and compassionate care. Doctors and nursing staff are frequently described as competent, thorough listeners who provide quality consultations when patients can access them. The disconnect between clinical excellence and administrative dysfunction appears to be a defining characteristic of the service.

Administrative systems, particularly the Klinik platform, generate frustration through technical malfunctions, limited accessibility windows, and lack of responsiveness. Patients report being caught in circular processes where online forms are rejected, phone lines are unavailable, and in-person visits result in redirection back to digital channels. The combination of access barriers, communication failures, and prescription delays has prompted multiple patients to seek alternative providers, despite acknowledging the quality of medical care received.

Absolutely rubbish

Took an age to get through on the phone to be told some one would call back later or the next day, that never happened, I got the results of the test from the nhs which told me I had food poisoning ,the surgery told me everything was ok and no further action was needed, when I pointed out the letter I had received I was told that whoever looked at the results of the test must have overlooked the result, even after that they did nothing.

impossible to make an appointment

Having waited 3 hours for my call to be finally answered i was yet again told to ring back the next day - preferably at 7 am as that is the only time that anyone might get through to make an appointment. They refused to make an appointment over the phone citing they have reached their medical emergency for the day and you should call tomorrow. There is no enquiry by them over what the issue might be - even as it turns out to be a medical emergency ! This practice clearly cannot cope and should be shut down as its existence raises false hope for people in its catchment area whose health is jeopardized by the delays from being given the run a round from extremely unhelpful and aggressive reception staff.

Incompetent doctor dismisses patient's health concerns

Dr. Osarogie Olu-Uwangue is absolutely the most incompetent general practitioner I've encountered. Following a prolonged period of attempting to understand the source of my discomfort, and finally having something detected on an ultrasound, he hastily declared I have PCOS based solely on imaging. I am well aware, both from personal knowledge and NHS guidelines, that PCOS cannot be definitively diagnosed through scans alone. When I subsequently requested a referral to a gynecologist, he appeared bewildered by my request, further demonstrating his medical inadequacy.

Terrible healthcare provider. Scheduling an appointment is a nightmare, and their phone line is perpetually unavailable. If I could, I'd rate them zero stars.

Terrible customer service ruins entire experience

Absolute disaster trying to reach customer support. Spent half an hour waiting on hold, constantly told I was next in line, but no one ever picked up. The call just kept ringing endlessly before abruptly disconnecting. I had already filed a complaint about their terrible communication, and unsurprisingly, that went completely ignored as well.

Negligent care leads to devastating health consequences

I'm deeply distressed by my brother's medical experience. He attempted to secure a medical consultation, but was denied care, which resulted in his current critical condition in the intensive care unit. The healthcare handling is absolutely appalling.

Frustrating doctor's surgery fails patient care

A completely terrible medical practice that prioritizes bureaucratic procedures over patient care. When seeking assistance, patients are directed to an online form that is incomprehensible to older individuals and only accessible for a limited time each day. The staff answering calls are utterly useless, unable to even schedule an appointment, and the practice would be better off hiring a different general practitioner who actually cares about patient needs.

Doctors missing in action at local medical practice

These doctors have completely lost their way and no longer provide the care they once did. It seems like all the physicians are still operating remotely, and I can't recall the last time I actually saw a doctor in person. The nurses are desperately trying to keep things running, but we desperately need doctors physically present in the clinics, not hiding at home. They're just redirecting patients to hospitals instead of doing their job, and it's time they start fulfilling their professional responsibilities for which they are compensated.

Frustrating healthcare with poor communication and service

Getting medical care here is an absolute nightmare. Phone lines are perpetually jammed, with wait times stretching to half an hour just to speak with someone. Their Klink scheduling system completely disregards your stated availability, instead calling at the most inconvenient moments. Miss two calls, and they summarily terminate your case, forcing you to restart the entire frustrating process. Blocked from obtaining an appointment by an unhelpful receptionist—despite contradictory voicemail instructions—I was compelled to seek a private screening through Boots the Chemist. The receptionist flatly refused to book me with a doctor, citing my online case as closed. To make matters worse, I'm still waiting on test results from three months ago, and they haven't even updated my address change that I reported six months back. The administrative incompetence is truly staggering.

Frustrating healthcare nightmare for desperate patient

THIS GP IS COMPLETELY DESTROYING MY LIFE. I'm utterly unable to schedule ANY type of medical consultation or check-up for my health concerns and I'm feeling incredibly frustrated and distressed!! I've wasted over 40 minutes waiting on hold, only to be told they can do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING (what even is the purpose of a phone line?!) and that I must use the klinik services, and when I precisely access the page at 8:00am the services I desperately need are somehow already 'full'?! Who on earth is managing this disaster of a practice?! I've even received EXPLICIT PROMISES of same-day callback and they simply never follow through. Do they have any genuine concern for their patients?! Are there actual human beings working here or just incompetent zombies?? Despite being just 19, I have multiple serious health concerns and I'm receiving zero support from the GP I'm officially registered with. This is completely unacceptable. You people should be thoroughly ashamed, especially considering how I've witnessed/heard about your treatment of older patients who require far more critical assistance than me. I understand being understaffed, but this isn't even remotely functioning like a proper GP!! 😒😒

Frustrating phone service leaves patients in endless loop

Nobody picks up the phone, or the call drops after waiting for 25 minutes. The clinic's system frequently malfunctions, and their online service just redirects you back to phone support, creating an endless loop. When I visit the clinic in person, they simply tell me to use the phone again.

Negligent doctors fail patient with chronic illness

What a terrible healthcare experience, I faced significant delays in getting diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease. I ultimately had to admit myself to the hospital because the doctor's practice was completely unhelpful and refused to allow me to speak with an actual physician. They repeatedly insisted I simply wait two weeks between blood tests and brushed me off with antibiotics without ever conducting an in-person examination. They would request sample submissions, and when I complied and dropped them off in the morning, I'd receive a text by evening claiming it was "too late" and demanding I return on Monday with another sample. Fortunately, I switched medical practices, and the new surgery saw me immediately, promptly sent me to the hospital with a referral for suspected IBD, and I am now receiving the necessary medication. Absolutely avoid this surgery at all costs!

Compassionate care with minor scheduling hiccups

I've been a patient at FHS since 2020, and the level of care and compassion from the entire medical team has been outstanding. Dr. Papa deserves a special shout-out for her attentive approach and genuine commitment to helping patients. The only minor drawback is the recent shift from the Klinik system to the current phone scheduling method, which can be a bit inconvenient when you have to call at 8:30 in the morning.

Dangerous medical chaos puts patients at risk

Completely unacceptable, terribly managed - serious patient safety concerns as I've been scheduled for appointments I never requested (they mixed up the patients! who knows if the other mother received her critical call about her child!!) Their website previously only allowed bookings through an awkward survey system, with a MINUSCULE pop-up recently indicating you must now telephone. However, when you call, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE ANSWERS because they haven't updated their operating hours anywhere online! You'll only discover they now open thirty minutes later if you endure the entire answering machine message. I've repeatedly attempted to secure appointments, and unless it's an emergency, they're completely disinterested, constantly redirecting us between different departments - one number claims a GP referral is mandatory! It's an absolute disaster of a medical practice with zero patient consideration, and clearly the management is utterly incompetent. Pro tip: if you get an immediate "line busy" signal, persistently redial - it took me seven minutes after phones opened, and I still ended up eighth in the queue. Ridiculous.

Nhs practice fails patients with subpar medical care

They've devolved into essentially a call routing service. Getting an actual GP appointment or consultation is now extremely improbable. When you finally make contact, you'll likely be called back by someone without proper medical qualifications who actively seeks to minimize their workload. Their approach is to do the absolute bare minimum possible. When I described having stomach pain while walking, coupled with significant family cardiac history, their response was to prescribe acid reflux medication and casually suggest going to A and E if I experience a heart attack - with zero interest in properly examining the underlying issue. Their supposed "self-help" resources are perpetually non-functional. Their administrative standards are embarrassingly poor, with the NHS app ludicrously claiming I'm allergic to paracetamol - which is completely untrue. This GP practice is an absolute mockery of healthcare provision.

Frustrating healthcare nightmare with unhelpful doctors

Utterly appalling medical practice! It's impossible to connect with a physician, and when attempting to call, they simply disconnect the line while you're waiting. After enduring nine days of anticipation regarding my widespread bodily pain - which they apparently don't consider significant - they briefly ring and immediately hang up when I answer! The doctors consistently dismiss your concerns, making you feel like you're exaggerating. They offer patronizing advice like recommending over-the-counter painkillers as a cure-all. You're left feeling entirely disregarded and wondering why you even bother trying to seek medical attention!

Rude staff turns medical visit into nightmare experience

During my aunt's visit for a blood test, the receptionist—an elderly woman with a short haircut—displayed an incredibly unwelcoming attitude. She brusquely informed my aunt that due to being understaffed, she couldn't just show up for a blood test at will. Despite the fact that health screenings are recommended for individuals over 50, the staff treated her dismissively. When my aunt entered for her test, she was curtly directed to sit elsewhere without any courtesy. The overall treatment was shockingly unprofessional, and I'm uncertain whether this stems from discrimination or simply poor customer service. Regardless of their staffing challenges, their behavior is unacceptable, and I strongly advise against anyone using this facility.
