Patient Experience Summary

Feedback reveals a practice with significant inconsistencies in service quality. Clinical staff receive consistent praise for professional expertise and compassionate care, with several patients highlighting responsive appointment availability and attentive medical consultations. However, reception experience emerges as a major concern, with multiple reports of discourteous behaviour, lack of respect, and poor courtesy from front-desk staff affecting patient interactions.

Communication and follow-up procedures present ongoing challenges, including delayed responses to e-consultations, missed appointment confirmations, and inadequate notification of test results. Appointment access difficulties and organisational inefficiency are recurring themes, with patients reporting extended wait times for bookings, confusion over appointment formats, and administrative errors. Medication access issues and gaps in continuity of care also feature prominently. While some patients describe exceptional experiences with prompt service and supportive care, the overall pattern suggests operational and interpersonal inconsistencies that undermine confidence in the service, particularly at the reception interface.

Traumatic assault at clinic betrays autism awareness promise

During a challenging moment related to my Aspergers, I encountered a traumatic incident at this healthcare facility where a nurse physically attacked me. Even after I clearly communicated my neurodivergent status and intention to depart, I was forcibly restrained and choked, resulting in visible bruising which I carefully photographed as evidence. Rather than investigating the assault, the reception staff chose to contact law enforcement against me. The irony is stark - this clinic prominently displays Autism awareness materials while simultaneously demonstrating aggressive and harmful behavior. Individuals with neurodevelopmental differences should be cautioned that this clinic may resort to unlawful physical violence instead of providing compassionate care.

Exceptional healthcare that truly exceeds expectations

We're often quick to criticize healthcare providers, but my recent experience here has been nothing short of exceptional. I submitted an online request for a sick note and received it within just a few hours. On a whim, I called during Friday lunch hoping for an appointment and was surprisingly scheduled for later that same afternoon. The physician, who was new to me, was absolutely outstanding. I couldn't have asked for a better service.

Exceptional healthcare with compassionate and attentive professionals

I've had an incredible experience with this medical practice - the entire staff is highly skilled and professional. Whenever necessary, the doctors provide appropriate referrals, and I feel completely secure receiving care here, which is a stark contrast to other healthcare providers I've encountered. I wholeheartedly endorse this practice and give it my absolute full recommendation.

Frustrating healthcare experience with no support

When I first tried to secure an appointment, none were available. I was directed to use 111, which I attempted three times while seeking treatment. I sent the consultant link three times, only to be told no appointments were open or to just walk in. This is unnecessary - I simply need a GP appointment for three distinct health conditions that cannot be addressed through an e-consultation, a point I explicitly explained to the receptionist. Their complaints procedure is impossible to navigate, with no contact number for help or support - it's absolutely ridiculous. Previously, under Hegde and Vakaria, this practice was brilliant, but now it's completely unacceptable.

Racist reception and negligent medical care exposed

Absolutely appalling service! The receptionist at the front desk aggressively yelled at me, apparently assuming I couldn't understand English due to my racial appearance! They scheduled me for an 8:00 am appointment, but when I checked Google, it showed they actually open at 8:30 am. I still drove over and waited in my car, then entered precisely at 8:30, only to be told I was too late and couldn't be seen because the nurse practitioner was fully booked! Despite remaining calm and not causing a scene, I later discovered my blood tests confirmed pre-existing deficiencies! Shockingly, they never proactively contacted me about these results, instead suggesting I should independently follow up and call them! This goes far beyond mere incompetence - it's a complete breakdown of basic medical care and professional responsibility! I am absolutely determined to escalate this to the NHS with a formal, serious complaint!

Exceptional Care at Galleries GP Practice

The experience my husband and I had with the service was truly exceptional. Personally, I found them to be incredibly supportive; they provided prompt appointments and displayed a compassionate approach throughout my care. The general practitioners and practice nurses were attentive until all of my issues were resolved. Recently, my husband discovered some concerning moles and was able to secure an appointment on the same day. We are grateful to Galleries GP Practice for their assistance.

NHS Facility: A Disorganized Healthcare Nightmare

This establishment presents a disheartening experience for a first-time visitor, showcasing the NHS at its least impressive. The reception spans three levels: the third floor is chaotic, the second floor staff are discourteous and unhelpful, while the ground level offers an acceptable service. Communication throughout was severely lacking; I ended up arriving 25 minutes late for my appointment after finally locating the right place. Overall, this location is quite a disorganized mess!

Rude receptionist ruins medical equipment return experience

The receptionist was absolutely unprofessional - a young blonde woman who displayed complete indifference. I came to return a blood pressure monitor along with my documentation of weekly readings, and incredibly, they're now claiming I never brought the device back. When I handed over the machine, the staff member was dismissive, barely making eye contact, hastily accepting the item with a perfunctory "that's fine, bye" in the most disinterested tone imaginable. Now, a full week later, I'm receiving text messages questioning the whereabouts of the machine I already returned. This scenario perfectly illustrates the problems that arise when front-line staff approach their responsibilities with such evident apathy.

Confusion reigns at medical practice scheduling nightmare

Arrived at the clinic for a face-to-face consultation, only to be informed it was scheduled as a phone appointment. When I presented the confirmation, they explained the professional I was meant to meet was working remotely and couldn't see me in person. I received the telephone call precisely on schedule, and apparently, the staff member was actually present at the practice and could have met with me. However, by then, I was already halfway home. The whole situation epitomizes complete organizational incompetence - reminiscent of that classic phrase about someone's inability to manage a simple task even in the most straightforward environment.

Fifty Years of Excellence at Galleries Medical Practice

I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. For the past fifty years, I have been a patient here in various capacities. The entire team—from the receptionists to the nurses and doctors—is consistently friendly and accommodating. Most of the time, I am able to secure an appointment when needed. While my doctor may not always be prompt, it’s because they take the time to engage with their patients meaningfully. In contrast to some unsettling accounts I've come across regarding other medical offices, I am truly pleased to praise Galleries Medical Practice for its exceptional service.

Avoid this medical service at all costs

If you're seeking medical help or guidance, I'd recommend heading to the emergency room because this establishment is definitely not the right place. I've never encountered a service where you must complete an online form to request an appointment, only to be told they'll contact you within 48 hours, and then they still haven't reached out after that timeframe? It's utterly ridiculous.

No Joined Up Approach

Sent for a scan 01/08 carried out by a nice polite nurse practitioner but still no follow up despite a promise of a next day call. Sent prescription B12 ampules without instruction and without being asked could I attend daily injection appointments. Then prescribed tablets as an alternative when I said I couldn't attend because of work which was good. Then to be called a week later to say the doctor says there's no other alternative to injections meaning one doctor doesn't know what the other has done and hadn't checked the notes. All of this is tolerable and things happen but what isn't tolerable is the manners of the receptionist (won't name her here as that's not fair) who needs customer service training. Despite both of us being always polite and friendly as we know what it's like to customer facing and people are people she manages to be rude, abrasive, and truly thinks she's medically trained. A tip, because one person is snotty to you don't carry it forward to the next one you deal with you can do better.

Poor Service Ignores Serious Health Concerns

It isn't Allen Black, but rather his spouse Jacqueline who is facing issues with the reception service. What more can I express? The level of service provided was utterly disappointing; I found myself waiting endlessly for results that never arrived. However, as soon as I mentioned that I'd have to contact the hospitals directly, suddenly the information became available. There were no further actions needed on their part. It raises a serious concern about trust when it comes to handling individuals' health worries. I've requested three times to speak with someone in a higher position and yet I'm still left without a response! This situation is simply unacceptable.
