Wish I could rate this zero stars! Scheduling a consultation is an absolute nightmare. The front desk staff are incredibly discourteous, repeatedly cutting me off mid-sentence and showing zero willingness to assist. The level of unprofessionalism is shocking. This healthcare service is a complete letdown - it feels like they're violating basic medical ethics. The service was absolutely terrible. I arrived for an appointment that was accidentally booked under my name instead of my daughter's. My daughter was extremely ill at the time. I desperately begged the staff to cancel my slot and transfer it to her, but they flatly refused. Their lack of compassion made me feel completely dehumanized and disrespected.

Nightmare healthcare experience with zero patient support
Scheduling a doctor's appointment has become an impossible task. I was number 19 in the queue, only to discover at the front that I must now book online. The receptionist sent me a link, but the online form was suspended due to no available appointments. I'm certain I have tonsillitis and need penicillin, as this feels exactly like my illness in April 2018. To make matters worse, I'm responsible for caring for my nearly 90-year-old housebound mother with Alzheimer's. I've been sick for 11 days and feel absolutely terrible. The healthcare system is completely broken. UPDATE: 111 dispatched a doctor at 10pm. Diagnosed with Covid, a throat covered in pus, nausea, a 39-degree temperature, and chills. Prescribed antibiotics and anti-nausea medication. Two days later, the antibiotics had to be changed due to persistent vomiting. My daughter visited the surgery to explain the situation and show the prescribed tablets. She was coldly told that absolutely nothing is handled in person and everything must be done via phone. Consequently, she returned to her car and called from there. This approach is not just ridiculous but potentially dangerous medical practice.

Called precisely at the designated time (08:45) to schedule a doctor's consultation. Initially optimistic about being number 14 in line. However, upon finally getting through, was informed no appointments were available for the day. Explained flexibility for booking on another day or week, but received a dismissive "Sorry, we can't book in advance" response. Advised to call again tomorrow. Repeated the same frustrating process the next day, and continued this cycle for four consecutive days without success.

The doctor was utterly ineffective when examining my severely infected leg injury, merely muttering a dismissive "mmmm" in response. I sent a complaint to the practice manager over a month ago, and they haven't even bothered to acknowledge it. If this were a veterinary practice, they would have gone out of business within a month due to such abysmal customer service and medical incompetence.

Having been a patient at this surgery for many years, here's my candid assessment: Appointments: securing a slot is incredibly challenging. You must ring precisely at 8:45, and even then, you're likely stuck in a lengthy queue. By the time they address your call, appointments are invariably gone. The next day brings the same frustrating cycle. Obtaining a booking feels akin to winning an improbable lottery. Consultation with doctors: your experience hinges entirely on which physician you encounter. Dr Shakoor is exceptional. He dedicates ample time and provides genuinely valuable guidance. After consulting him, you'll feel completely satisfied. Dr Ahmed appears pleasant and generally supportive, though tends to swiftly dismiss patient concerns. Dr Sadiq strikes me as profoundly unhelpful and arrogant. His interpersonal skills are severely lacking, demonstrating minimal patient empathy or professional courtesy. Blood tests: appointment availability is plentiful, and the nursing staff are consistently accommodating and helpful. This aspect of the service is entirely unproblematic.

Absolute nightmare of a medical practice in Luton - I'm desperate to switch. It's been years since I've actually seen Dr Ahmed, and I'm now 27, with no clue if he's even still practicing! Their appointment system is a complete joke - every time I call, they just tell me to ring back at 8 am and send me on an endless loop of frustration. The receptionists are shockingly unprofessional, treating patients with total disregard and knowing full well we're stuck with them. They're completely desensitized to people's genuine health concerns and communicate like we're an inconvenience. I've completely given up on this surgery - it's nothing but a source of stress and disappointment. Now I'm forced to use walk-in centers or A&E, or even call 111, just to get basic medical attention. I'm seriously considering going private at this point, just to receive some basic human respect and decent customer service. Enough is enough!

I received a blood pressure monitor for a week and discovered my blood pressure was elevated. Subsequently, I got a text message scheduling an appointment. Upon arrival, a nurse informed me she would check my blood pressure, which I found frustrating since I had already been monitoring it myself. I had expected to see a doctor who could prescribe medication. The nurse then instructed me to call at 8:30 am to book a doctor's appointment, which I consider ridiculous because getting through on the phone is nearly impossible - it's enough to raise anyone's blood pressure. This is just another in a series of problems I've experienced with this medical practice, and after 52 years of dealing with them, I've decided to seek healthcare elsewhere.

Worst medical service ever experienced by a patient
I'm absolutely appalled by my recent experience with this medical practice. When I called to schedule an appointment to address a persistent cough that's been lingering for over three months, and explained my history of pneumonia and previous hospitalization, along with needing to discuss a mental health concern, the receptionist was completely dismissive. I was curtly told no appointments were available today and was simply directed to the walk-in centre or to call back tomorrow. The lack of compassion and unhelpful attitude of the staff is shocking. As someone who works, it's incredibly frustrating that I can't pre-book an appointment at a time convenient for my schedule. Instead, I'm forced to call on the day and hope for an opening, which is completely unacceptable. The service is utterly ridiculous and demonstrates a total disregard for patient needs.
