Feedback reflects a deeply mixed experience at this practice, with stark contrasts between clinical and administrative services. Medical professionals, including doctors and nursing staff, consistently receive praise for compassionate, skilled care and responsive urgent attention. However, appointment access remains a significant challenge, with patients reporting long waiting times on phone lines, difficulty securing same-day or routine slots, and frustration with booking system functionality. Reception experience is inconsistent, ranging from warm and helpful to dismissive and unprofessional, with some patients noting staff appear rushed or unwilling to listen to full concerns.
The practice's recent shift to digital booking platforms has generated polarised responses. Some patients appreciate the efficiency and ability to schedule appointments online without extended phone waits, while others find the systems dysfunctional, confusing, or unable to display available slots. Communication gaps also emerge as a recurring theme, including delayed test result notifications and unclear information about wait times. Long-standing patients express particular disappointment at perceived service decline, noting the contrast between current accessibility challenges and the practice's former reputation.
While clinical care quality remains high, the combination of difficult appointment access, inconsistent reception courtesy, and booking system issues has prompted some patients to consider alternative providers. Success appears to depend heavily on which staff member patients encounter and whether they can navigate the current administrative processes.

Quick and Smooth Procedure with Doctor Shaw
Smooth digital check-in process. The clinic reached out precisely at the scheduled time, and Dr. Shaw greeted me warmly for a straightforward procedure. She provided a comprehensive and clear walkthrough of the treatment and recovery steps. The entire experience was top-notch, and I'm truly appreciative!

Quick Sunday Booking with New AI System
I recently reserved an appointment online on a Sunday using the new AI-powered system, and despite my initial doubts, I received a confirmation email the following day suggesting I schedule a slot. I successfully found an available time within a week or two, which perfectly suited my requirements. This approach is a significant improvement over the previous method of repeatedly calling each morning and often finding all appointments had been taken, even when my need wasn't urgent. Previously, booking a non-urgent appointment seemed almost impossible. I'm genuinely pleased with this updated system and am looking forward to seeing how smoothly it works during my next scheduling attempt.

Wasted Hours with a Sick Baby
Extremely poor service. I waited for half an hour after scheduling an appointment for my 11-month-old child, and ultimately departed without consulting a doctor. The reception staff provided no information about the expected wait time or any explanation for the delay.

Quick help for my prescription request
I've now utilized the Glebe Surgery's new contact system on two occasions! Initially, I sought a prescription and required a couple of gentle guidance prompts to navigate the process, but phone support was incredibly responsive, and my prescription arrived that very day! Subsequently, when booking a doctor's appointment, I again needed one small hint to get me on the right track, after which I was promptly presented with digital options on my phone, allowing me to select from various doctors, dates, and time slots. I've jotted down a few personal reminders for future use, but this method is infinitely preferable to endlessly waiting on hold (though I must acknowledge they did have the least irritating background music!). Many thanks to Glebe Road.

Quick and Easy Online Booking at Glebe Road
Tried out the recently launched digital scheduling and pre-screening platform. An incredible upgrade compared to the previous phone-based method. Quick appointment booking. Arrived and was seen exactly as planned. Exceptional care provided by Dr Salehzadeh. Kudos to the Glebe Road team.

Frustrating Online Forms Overshadow Good Doctor Care
The scheduling process is utterly absurd. I've experienced intense stress attempting to navigate their system. Enduring endless, repetitive recorded messages. The medical care is excellent, but only if you can tolerate spending half an hour completing online paperwork. This might streamline things for them, but we're the patients and shouldn't be forced to endure such convoluted, time-consuming bureaucracy. How would someone with cognitive impairment possibly manage this ordeal?

Frustrating AI Booking System Blocked My Appointment
The medical practice has implemented a peculiar AI scheduling platform that is completely dysfunctional. The automated system's questions bear no relevance to my specific medical needs... I strongly urge them to return to their previous booking method. This is an incredibly frustrating misallocation of resources, forcing me to contact 111 just to communicate with a healthcare professional since I'm unable to successfully schedule an appointment through their current system.

Dr. Powles saved my healthcare hope
10 out of 10 a shining example of exemplary patient care!! In a time when many perceive the NHS as overstretched and quality patient care increasingly scarce, Glebe Road Surgery, with outstanding professionals like Dr. Powles, emerges as a testament to what healthcare should truly represent. Dr. Powles is an outstanding general practitioner who personifies the highest standards of patient care. She listens with profound compassion, addresses every patient concern with utmost seriousness, and ensures patients feel genuinely heard and supported. Her commitment and professional approach far surpass typical expectations, serving as a powerful reminder that truly empathetic medical care still exists. Glebe Road Surgery stands as a remarkable beacon of hope within the current healthcare environment, with physicians like Dr. Powles making this excellence possible. For those who have become disillusioned by previous medical experiences, this practice demonstrates that superior care and exceptional service are not mere ideals but living realities. I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend Dr. Powles and the entire team at Glebe Road Surgery.

Compassionate Doctors Helped Me Through Tough Times
Dr Mendoza stands out as truly outstanding. I'm deeply grateful to her, along with Dr Powles and Dr Rice-Jones, during a challenging period. Their approach is highly professional, practical, and compassionate. The nursing staff is equally impressive. While scheduling routine appointments can be tricky, they're remarkably responsive when urgent care is required.

Frustrating communication during sample test
Absolutely terrible communication. Refused assistance with the absurd excuse of being within a specific geographic boundary, despite previously instructing me to complete a sample test.

Rude Receptionist Ruined Our Blood Test Booking
A receptionist with a foreign accent displayed extremely unprofessional behavior when my daughter attempted to schedule a blood test at the medical practice. The staff member responded with an inappropriate and dismissive attitude, questioning why my daughter was booking the test at their facility—an utterly nonsensical and unhelpful response. The practice urgently needs to invest in customer service training for this employee to improve their interactions with patients.

Terrible GP with impossible baby appointments
Absolutely the most terrible general practitioner I've encountered across the United Kingdom. Having registered with numerous GP practices throughout the country, I've never experienced such a dysfunctional booking system. Attempting to schedule immunization appointments for my baby every four weeks has been a nightmare, with consistently missed timings. There are numerous other issues I could elaborate on, but it's clear that no one at this practice shows any genuine concern or commitment to patient care.

Sonia at reception made my day
I've been a patient at this medical practice for an extended period, and the entire team, from staff to physicians, has consistently been outstanding. Sonia, who works at the front desk, is particularly remarkable and has consistently demonstrated extraordinary helpfulness during all our interactions. Although the clinic can get quite hectic, the quality of care I've experienced has always been absolutely fantastic!

Quick and Efficient NHS Care
Kudos to the NHS! Three weeks back, I secured an in-person doctor's consultation just 2 hours after making my call. Subsequently, when I required a follow-up, my GP phoned me within 2 hours of my request. I was then directed to get an X-ray, which was incredibly swift - the entire process took merely 10 minutes from arrival to completion. Moreover, I've already received confirmation that my X-ray results are normal. Fantastic service, NHS!

Poor!
Always Late at the Surgery
Scheduling appointments here is a constant frustration. Why even bother setting a specific time slot when they consistently run behind? Morning appointments are no exception, and even quick procedures like blood tests are delayed. A blood draw should be a straightforward, efficient process, yet my experience was anything but. Despite being the first patient, I waited 15 minutes past my designated time. To make matters worse, the phlebotomist was disorganized, spending an additional 5 minutes searching for my paperwork in their system. It's clear that patient time is undervalued here. There's a glaring double standard where patients are expected to arrive punctually, but healthcare staff operate on their own relaxed schedule. This lack of respect for patients' time is deeply disappointing and reflects poorly on the overall service.
