Patients report significant and persistent difficulties accessing the practice, with telephone contact proving particularly problematic. Lines are frequently busy, disconnected, or unanswered, making appointment booking extremely challenging. When contact is eventually established, reception experience is frequently described as unwelcoming and dismissive, with staff interactions lacking courtesy and professionalism. Communication from clinical staff has also been inconsistent, with some patients experiencing dismissive or insensitive consultations, inadequate follow-up, and insufficient continuity of care.
Appointment availability remains a major concern, with extended waiting times both for booking and at visits, alongside operational issues including cancellations and missed appointments without notification. Administrative processes show gaps in responsiveness, including delays in prescription transfers, missing documents, and poor coordination between departments. Several patients report feeling unsupported during vulnerable periods, including end-of-life care and post-hospital discharge situations.
Positive feedback acknowledges professional clinical staff who demonstrate genuine care and clear communication when appointments are secured. Some patients report welcoming reception teams and supportive nursing staff. However, these positive experiences appear inconsistent across the practice, with quality of care and service varying significantly depending on which staff member is encountered.

Great!
Waiting times have improved significantly this year
Initially provided a low rating, however the practice has demonstrated considerable improvement throughout the past year. Optimistic that this positive trajectory will be sustained.

Reception staff dismissed my circumstances without listening
I experienced a significant health condition approximately four months ago, during which I required emergency hospital care on three separate occasions. The associated pain has been severe and substantially impacts daily functioning. I arranged an appointment with my GP three weeks prior to my visit, however upon arriving at the clinic, I was informed by reception staff that my appointment had been cancelled due to my current residential address being in a different district. I explained that my temporary relocation was necessary because my condition made normal movement extremely difficult. The reception staff advised me to register with a practice closer to my daughter's address and indicated they were unable to assist further. I felt that my circumstances and the duration of my health difficulties were not given adequate consideration in this situation.

Better off using the Patient Access app
This medical practice does not meet expectations and I would recommend looking elsewhere. I have concerns about staffing practices at this location. I believe one clinician has been working across multiple practice locations simultaneously for an extended period, which raises questions about their availability and commitment to patients here. This situation has left me feeling let down by the service provided. I would suggest exploring other healthcare options rather than relying on this practice. That said, I would encourage using the Patient Access app, which is available through the App Store or Play Store. This application provides valuable tools for managing your own healthcare independently. Through it, you can access your complete medical records, review clinical notes, submit prescription requests, leave messages for your healthcare team, and view test results. The app offers considerable functionality that empowers patients to take control of their health information. I would strongly recommend downloading and using this app as a useful resource.

Impossible to get through on the phone
How is it possible for a surgery's phone line to be constantly busy throughout the entire day? It's incredibly frustrating. I relocated to this practice when I moved to the area, and if I had been aware of the difficulties beforehand, I would have remained with my former surgery.

Phone lines constantly busy and impossible to reach
It is extremely difficult to reach the practice by telephone. Getting an appointment in the current month appears nearly impossible, even when visiting in person to book. Given that clearly many patients are experiencing difficulties contacting the surgery, it would be beneficial to consider implementing an online system that would allow patients to register and book appointments without needing to call. As another patient has previously mentioned, it leaves people wondering what options are available when they need urgent care.

Impossible to reach by phone for appointments
Why is there no one picking up the phone? How can anyone manage to book an appointment with a GP when calls aren't being answered? The line keeps ringing without response and frequently disconnects. What is going on at this practice?

Long waits despite early appointment times
Unsatisfactory service experience at this practice. Appointments consistently run significantly behind schedule, with considerable delays between the scheduled time and when patients are seen. The booking system also appears to result in appointments being offered much later than initially requested. Management review of these operational issues would be beneficial.

Reception kept me informed throughout my visit
I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care I received at this practice. As part of the clinical team, the healthcare professional I saw demonstrated a strong commitment to keeping me well-informed about my test results. Not only were clear explanations provided, but the reassuring manner also helped put me at ease. A family member is also a patient at the practice and has nothing but praise for their care. If you're looking for a healthcare provider who combines expertise with a compassionate approach, I would wholeheartedly recommend this practice.

Trying hard despite the appointment struggles
Considering the current state of the healthcare system, this practice is making a genuine effort. While appointment availability can be challenging, this is a common issue across general practices. What sets them apart is their willingness to assist, which contrasts positively with my previous healthcare providers.

Practice doesn't seem to add value
The primary care service appears to offer limited value in terms of contributing to the development of the UK healthcare system. I have concerns about the effectiveness of primary care provision more broadly across the country, and these concerns are particularly evident in my experience with this practice.

Practice threatened removal over inactivity
I have been a patient at this medical practice for many years and received a letter stating that I needed to contact them to verify my details or risk being removed from their patient list. As someone who enjoys relatively good health and does not require frequent visits, I felt this decision seemed motivated by financial considerations rather than patient care. The practice offers various health checks that I had not requested, yet when I actually need care, appointments are difficult to obtain. I am concerned about the implications of this situation, particularly regarding access to essential medications. Should I experience difficulties obtaining necessary prescriptions in the future, I believe this correspondence demonstrates a troubling approach to patient management that raises serious questions about the practice's priorities and duty of care.

Phone queue left me feeling disrespected
Spending extended periods trying to reach the practice by telephone would be more tolerable if the experience upon connection was courteous and professional. The overall service has been deeply disappointing.

Phone lines went unanswered during urgent need
My father is receiving end of life care. Initially, the practice indicated that a particular medication would not be provided due to cost considerations during his end of life treatment. I have been attempting to contact the prescription department since early morning without success. As it approaches midday, the phones appear to be unavailable, seemingly due to the lunch break. I find this situation deeply disappointing. Throughout his end of life care, no clinical visits have been made to see my father. I am struggling to articulate how let down I feel by this experience. As an NHS practice, I believe the standard of care has fallen significantly short of what should be expected.

Phone system broken and receptionists unhelpful
I have been attempting to contact this GP practice for an extended period, making numerous calls without success as the number appears to be unresponsive. Throughout my experience with various practices, I have found this one to be particularly challenging. The telephone system is problematic and requires improvement, and my interactions with reception staff have been disappointing, as they have come across as dismissive and unhelpful. I have also had concerns about my experiences with some of the clinical staff at the practice. I have been seeking alternative care options, though I have encountered difficulties locating nearby practices that cover my area. Overall, I feel this practice falls short of the standards I would expect from a healthcare provider, and I am frustrated with the service received.

Reception staff were genuinely helpful and friendly
Have had a consistently positive experience over many years. Perhaps I'm just fortunate? The telephone system can be inconvenient, though visiting in person works well. The front desk staff are always welcoming and supportive. It would be beneficial if the practice could relocate to more modern facilities.

Phone queue left me without answers
I had a very frustrating experience trying to reach the practice by phone, spending a considerable amount of time being transferred without getting through to someone who could help. I found this situation unacceptable and have decided to escalate my concerns through my local representative in hopes of getting the matter addressed.
