If I could give zero stars I would, as one is the minimum. This is genuinely the worst GP practice I have experienced. Getting through by phone is nearly impossible—the lines are constantly busy, or calls ring out and disconnect. I attempted calling multiple times within an hour and a half, and every attempt resulted in a busy signal. It feels like you could become seriously unwell waiting to speak with someone at the surgery. The phone system frequently fails entirely, displaying call failure messages. The reception staff lack any sense of compassion or understanding, treating patients dismissively and without respect. Additionally, the practice has begun closing regularly for training sessions, seemingly every other Thursday. Given how frequently these closures occur, it seems counterintuitive that they would add further barriers to accessing care. The combination of difficult phone access and regular closures makes it extremely challenging to reach the practice. I do not understand the reasoning behind these decisions. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere and plan to lodge a formal complaint and transfer to a different practice. To anyone considering staying, I would encourage reconsidering. The clinical staff are equally unprofessional, displaying a lack of compassion and care toward patients, with interactions that feel dismissive and insensitive. I experienced concerning issues with clinical care that left me feeling unsupported and anxious. There is so much more I could say about my experience at this practice. My sincere advice is to register with a different GP practice—I wish I had made this change sooner. I am currently in the process of transferring.

Receptionist unprofessional, long wait for callback

This practice is extremely disappointing. The reception staff lack professionalism. I arranged an urgent appointment for my child over the telephone. The wait was incredibly long and frustrating, with no one getting back to me. The reception team at this clinic are unsuitable for their roles. It appears many others have raised concerns about the reception service without any apparent action being taken. There seems to be a lack of responsiveness to patients seeking assistance.

Receptionists were rude about emergency appointments

The service was disappointing and I found the staff to be unwelcoming, particularly those at reception who displayed unhelpful behaviour. When I called requesting an urgent appointment, I was told that nothing was available as the schedule was completely full. However, when I attended in person, the situation seemed quite different. I waited for over an hour outside the clinic entrance, yet during that time I observed very few other patients present. The clinic appeared to have considerable capacity available. The management should investigate what appears to be a significant discrepancy in how appointments are being managed and communicated.

Renewal form lost after months of phone calls

I submitted a request for a renewal document in April. I called almost weekly to check on its progress. The staff repeatedly told me to call back the following week. This situation continued from April onwards. When I visited in person last week, I was informed that my form had gone missing. I was very surprised and asked the staff how this could have occurred, especially given that they had been asking me to phone back each week. I have now been given a replacement form, and I have requested written confirmation from staff that they have received it. This experience has been quite frustrating.

The receptionist was quite impolite when answering the phone and came across as unhelpful. If someone is feeling stressed, it might be better for them to take a break rather than continue working with the public. When I asked for their name, I was told it wasn't necessary to know it. I was hoping to make a complaint, but they declined to provide their name.

Phone lines constantly busy and receptionists lack patience

Several members of my family attend this practice, and I have concerns about the service provided. Firstly, it is difficult to reach the surgery by telephone. Secondly, obtaining an appointment can take considerable time, even when health matters are urgent. Thirdly, I have found interactions with reception staff to be unwelcoming, regardless of how politely one approaches them. The management also appears to lack the necessary interpersonal skills required for their role. I hope that when the practice relocates to its new facility, there will be improvements in staffing and training, which would make appointments more readily available and enhance the overall experience for patients and my family members.

Banned without explanation or proper care

The management of this practice sent me a letter stating that abusive language toward staff members would not be accepted. I was shocked to receive this correspondence, as I had no understanding of what they were referring to. They subsequently removed me from the practice without providing any explanation for their decision. I attended because I was experiencing illness and dizziness, yet I received no medical care whatsoever following my appointment. A week later, I got a letter informing me of my removal from the practice. I believe there may have been an error on their part.

Phone lines hard to reach, slow results

I have been waiting considerably longer than expected for laboratory results from a urine sample to be returned, despite the test itself being relatively straightforward. Additionally, there has been a delay in receiving a prescription for antibiotics. I found it necessary to visit the surgery multiple times in person, as telephone contact proved difficult to establish. The reception staff indicated they would contact me once the prescription was ready, but this call did not materialise. When my mother contacted the practice to lodge a formal complaint, it was then revealed that the prescription had actually been issued the previous day.

I found the mental health referral process to be quite frustrating. When transferred to specialist services, I contacted them to enquire about waiting times and was simply told I would need to be patient. Given my previous hospitalisation and current struggles, the lengthy delays feel inadequate. Phone lines nearly impossible to get through

I have been attending this practice for a number of years and have found some clinicians to be excellent. However, I have had very different experiences with others, who I felt were unhelpful and lacked good communication skills. Currently, I am experiencing significant difficulty when trying to contact the practice by phone. Today alone I attempted to call on numerous occasions without success. The phone lines are extremely hard to reach, making it feel nearly impossible to get through. I also had a concerning experience recently when I tried to discuss a health matter with one of the clinicians. I felt the conversation was handled insensitively and was ended abruptly, with a promise that another clinician would follow up with me. Several weeks have now passed and I have not received this callback. I am disappointed with how this matter was managed and am concerned about the overall standard of care and communication at the practice.
