Patient Experience Summary

Patient feedback reveals a practice with significant operational challenges that substantially impact access and experience. Appointment booking remains a persistent frustration, with patients reporting difficulty reaching the practice by phone, limited availability, and lengthy waits for consultations. Reception experience is inconsistent, with some patients praising staff warmth and helpfulness while others describe discourteous interactions and poor responsiveness. Phone access problems are particularly acute, with multiple reports of unanswered calls and voicemail systems that fail to function reliably.

When patients do access clinical care, medical attention is often described as thorough and compassionate, with nursing staff and some practitioners receiving specific praise for their attentiveness and supportive approach. However, this positive clinical experience is undermined by broader service issues including poor cleanliness standards in waiting areas, extended waiting times despite scheduled appointments, and concerns about staff coordination and continuity of care. Several patients note a perceived decline in service quality following staff changes.

The practice offers accessible facilities including on-site services, parking, and a pharmacy, alongside early morning emergency appointments. Despite these structural advantages, the combination of booking difficulties, phone access problems, and inconsistent reception courtesy creates a significant barrier to care that many patients find unacceptable.

Dr khan saved my life despite reception struggle

Dr. Khan is undoubtedly the most exceptional physician I've ever encountered. While his initial manner might seem aloof, his actual medical expertise and commitment to patient care are extraordinary. Without his intervention, I would have missed a critical diagnosis and appropriate treatment, for which I am profoundly thankful. The medical team, including Dr. Khan, the nursing staff, and most of the receptionists (particularly the young woman wearing a headscarf who is outstanding), are truly remarkable. However, there's a recently hired receptionist whose unprofessional conduct is deeply troubling. During a moment of extreme vulnerability, I reached out in desperation, and her response was shockingly indifferent. She displayed zero customer service skills, empathy, or professional responsibility. When I inquired about alternative options, she casually responded "ok then" and abruptly terminated the call. Her callousness has forced me to seek private treatment and has seriously undermined my long-standing trust in this practice, which I've relied on for 34 years. It's particularly disappointing because during the era of Newgrosh, the reception staff were incredibly supportive and seemed genuinely invested in their work, creating an atmosphere of genuine care and commitment.

Terrible service at medical practice avoid at all costs

Absolutely terrible general practice clinic that never picks up their phone. Every single time I call, I'm greeted with no response, just an endless ringing or message claiming no staff are available. This level of unprofessional service is completely unacceptable, and I'm actively seeking ways to file an official complaint about their shocking patient care standards.

Terrible customer service at this medical practice

What's the purpose of a contact number if it's just for show? No matter how many times you dial, they never answer, and it's absolutely ridiculous! On the rare occasion someone actually picks up, they're incredibly discourteous - I wouldn't even dignify this place by calling it a medical practice at this point 😅

Terrible pharmacy with zero customer communication

Attempting to schedule an appointment for two consecutive days has been futile, with calls consistently redirected to voicemail. The lack of responsiveness is utterly unacceptable. I've reached out to the pharmacy, desperately seeking someone to actually pick up the phone and provide basic customer service.

Horrible service and unprofessional staff attitude

I arrived for my scheduled 10:20 appointment, but by 10:50 I had not been called despite an empty waiting area. When I inquired with the receptionist about the delay, she was incredibly discourteous and made no effort to provide any explanation for the prolonged wait. Her attitude was extremely unprofessional and dismissive.

Completely worthless medical practice - I've spent years attempting to schedule an appointment, but their receptionist consistently creates obstacles. They offer zero assistance whatsoever. Avoid this clinic at all costs; it's not worth the frustration.

Worst customer service ever absolute nightmare

Attempted to contact customer service early morning, spent over two hours dialing repeatedly without success. When I finally got through around 9 AM, the representative simply advised me to call back tomorrow morning. Absolutely frustrating and completely pointless service.

Terrible doctor with zero compassion or medical skill

I am deeply disheartened by the subpar medical treatment received from Dr. Nasima Sidda. From our initial interaction, it was evident that her interpersonal skills were severely lacking—she treated me as an unwelcome burden rather than a patient seeking help. Her communication was abrupt, condescending, and thoroughly unprofessional, demonstrating minimal compassion for my medical concerns. Even more concerning was her apparent deficiency in medical expertise. Crucial elements of my healthcare were either completely overlooked or mismanaged, resulting in unnecessary anxiety and additional health challenges. She consistently failed to provide accurate diagnoses and demonstrated a troubling incompetence in addressing my medical needs. What proved most exasperating was her complete disregard when I attempted to discuss my health issues. Instead of listening or offering clear explanations, she would either ignore my questions or provide ambiguous, meaningless responses, ultimately leaving me more bewildered than informed. This experience falls far short of the standard of care patients rightfully expect. I strongly caution others against seeking treatment from her, as her profound lack of professional competence and empathy poses a significant risk to patients' well-being. Dr. Sidda's approach to healthcare is nothing short of dangerous.

Lifesaving service from caring health professionals

The reception team was exceptional. On May 30th, I received a call from a potential employer requesting a BMI certificate to verify my health status. I attempted to call but couldn't reach anyone, so I visited in person and approached one of the staff members—whose name escapes me—asking if I could quickly get my BMI measured, as I urgently needed it by day's end. Initially, she seemed reluctant since I hadn't scheduled an appointment, but recognizing my distress, she arranged for her colleague to take the measurement, which took mere moments. I was incredibly grateful; without their assistance, I might have missed out on my dream job opportunity. The staff were incredibly compassionate, helpful, and even shared a lighthearted moment with me.

Terrible service from unprofessional and unhelpful staff

An absolute disaster and complete mockery. The personnel lack competence, with excessive staff crowding the reception area - two in the morning, two in the afternoon, and even more the following day. Despite their numbers, they demonstrate zero coordination, expertise, or understanding. Particularly, the African staff member is incredibly discourteous and completely dismissive of patients' concerns and suggestions, rigidly adhering to her own protocols. I've definitively resolved to abandon this medical practice and seek superior healthcare elsewhere, and I emphatically advise others to steer clear of these incompetent individuals.

Unfair medical service leaves working patients frustrated

Called the medical practice at 8am only to be informed that no appointments were accessible due to 20 individuals already waiting outside, who would be seen first. This seems completely unjust for working professionals! What's the point of having a phone booking system if walk-in patients are always given precedence?

Terrible service that put my baby at risk

I am absolutely furious with Great Lever health centre - the worst doctors I've ever encountered! They've completely mishandled my 3-month-old son and totally dismissed his needs. Today was an absolute nightmare. I tried getting an appointment and ended up booking one online myself. When we arrived, the appointment was mistakenly scheduled for injections that were already pre-booked. The nurse said she'd speak to the receptionist about his toilet issues, then returned saying we'd be booked for tomorrow. When my partner asked the time, we were told to speak directly with reception, who then said we'd need to call in the morning. It was ridiculous, especially with my son screaming in pain in the waiting room. At the pharmacy, I encountered more frustration trying to get his formula. Their system showed no prescription, despite previous conversations with his doctor about putting it on repeat. When I asked if being on repeat would eliminate the need for constant requests, the doctor said no. I'm completely baffled why I must continuously jump through hoops for something so simple. Their appointment system is a complete joke. You call when they open and might not get through until late afternoon. Even emergency appointments are treated like an inconvenience. They claim to be fully booked, yet the waiting room is practically empty! It's shocking how little they seem to care about a vulnerable baby's health. My son should be their absolute priority, but clearly, he isn't.

Compassionate nurse made my blood test painless

I visited the clinic for a blood draw today, and the nurse named Amy was absolutely fantastic. In past experiences, phlebotomists struggled to draw my blood, but she successfully collected the sample on her first attempt. Her compassionate approach and gentle demeanor helped calm my anxiety, and I was genuinely relieved that she was the one handling my blood test.

Terrible service left me helpless and desperate

I've been experiencing seizures lately and have attempted to contact the office over 30 times without anyone picking up the phone, which is absolutely unacceptable. Additionally, your website is completely non-functional as I've left numerous messages requesting a doctor's callback. I would visit the clinic in person, but my current mental health struggles and severe anxiety make going outside extremely challenging. These are substandard service levels that urgently need improvement, plain and simple.

Painful blood draw from careless student nurse

The nursing student performing my blood draw was incredibly rough and careless. While drawing blood, I experienced bleeding that ran down my arm, and she hastily applied a substandard bandage after wiping away the mess. My arm is now bruised and extremely sore. Throughout my history of blood tests, I've never encountered such an unpleasant experience, and I'm deeply reluctant to repeat this ordeal. Her clinical approach and interpersonal skills are severely lacking. The single star I'm giving is solely in recognition of the courteous receptionist who was helpful during my visit.
