Terrible service except for one saving grace

The front desk personnel are utterly deplorable. Caroline, responsible for patient phone interactions, speaks to individuals as if they are worthless. Attempting to inquire about a straightforward prescription request immediately triggers a barrage of condescension, disdain, and dismissal. Her approach is passive-aggressively patronizing, and she demonstrates zero interest in addressing patient concerns. It's embarrassingly unprofessional. The physicians are acceptable if you consult a regular practice doctor, rather than a locum who will casually deflect any medical issues with the dismissive statement, "I'm just a temporary doctor, you'll need to discuss this with your primary physician". However, Mandy at the reception desk is genuinely exceptional. One can only hope to be fortunate enough to interact with her during a call.

Got to say the paramedic I recently saw at the clinic was incredible. It took multiple hospital trips, including visits to Heartlands and Queen Elizabeth, with numerous doctors and a CT scan, all concluding I was experiencing migraines. I'd been on pain medication for five weeks. Today's appointment with the paramedic at the surgery finally revealed the truth - it's not a migraine, but an infection. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the paramedic who thoroughly examined me today, actually looking into my condition instead of just checking my blood pressure. Neil, I believe was his name, and he absolutely deserves to be there full-time. 10/10 for his exceptional care and accurate diagnosis.

I wanted to share my appreciation for the paramedic Neil who assisted me today. He was incredibly supportive and compassionate, helping me feel comfortable without any hint of criticism - something I deeply value, especially given the current challenges in healthcare. I'm truly grateful for his professionalism. When I described Neil to my husband, he immediately recognized him from a previous encounter earlier this year when we brought our son in during an illness, and he also praised Neil's kindness and helpfulness. It's clear that Neil's excellent approach is consistent, not just a one-time occurrence. Additionally, Mandy, who scheduled my appointment following a 111 referral, demonstrated genuine concern and a sincere desire to ensure I received proper care. I want to extend my thanks to her as well.

Surprisingly, I ultimately spent more than 2 hours (and this is no overstatement) waiting to have my call picked up. For individuals seeking timely medical guidance or assistance, such an extensive wait can generate significant anxiety. While I recognize that medical practices can get overwhelmed, this level of prolonged waiting before connecting with a staff member is a serious issue that requires immediate attention.

Upon confronting my doctors about this discrepancy, they claimed the referral needed to go through their secretary first and was only just sent through yesterday - a dubious explanation that raises serious concerns about their administrative communication.
