Community team provided compassionate end-of-life care

My father received end-of-life care at home over a three-month period. The community healthcare team from the surgery provided exceptional support and made it possible for him to remain in his own home during this time. Our family will always be deeply grateful for their outstanding compassion, dedication and skilled nursing care. They continued to provide support even after his passing. We are very thankful for how they helped make an incredibly challenging period more manageable.

Great Practice

Even when busy the staff on both Reception and the Dispensary are really helpful and welcoming. My appointment was a little late, but I know how under pressure they can be, and another 10 minutes wasn't an issue for me. The GP and practice nurses are really helpful. I didn't feel like I was being rushed, they took time to listen and then help investigate the issue, recommend self-care options and referrals. A stark difference to the old practice where the Reception and Nursing staff were great but the GPs were miserable. Keep up the great work all at the Grimston Medical Centre. The number of chocolates I saw people dropping off is a testament to your hard work.

Phlebotomists helped me through my anxiety

A genuinely compassionate medical practice. I experience anxiety around certain procedures due to previous episodes, and the clinical staff are wonderfully supportive and patient, helping me manage the experience with ease. The practitioners have been attentive to my concerns and we've worked together to find solutions that suit us both. On one occasion when I was struggling emotionally during a phone call, the reception team showed genuine kindness and understanding. Excellent practice overall.

Helpful staff put our minds at ease

I visited this practice while staying in the area, as my young child became unwell. The entire team demonstrated exceptional helpfulness throughout our visit. We were attended to by a caring clinician who provided reassurance and handled the appointment with great skill and patience with my child. I felt genuinely appreciative of the support we received.

Same-day phone consultations when needed

I have no complaints about the practice. When same-day appointments aren't available, a healthcare professional will contact me at home. The service is outstanding, and the clinical staff are well-informed and willing to look into or gather additional information regarding uncommon medical conditions.

Long wait for a rushed appointment

I would rate this experience much lower if possible. I found the service to be disappointing. I waited over an hour for my appointment but only received approximately two and a half minutes of consultation time. I felt the interaction was insufficient for my needs. I have decided to register with a different practice. This was not my first visit with concerns; I had attended previously on two other occasions with similar experiences. During one of those earlier visits, I felt the consultation was unusual, and I subsequently received a phone call at home with an apology regarding that appointment.
