Nurse Ignored My Covid Vaccine Request

Unfortunately my record now reads... Pat expressed dissatisfaction, claiming he was told the covid vaccine should have been aspirated and was administered incorrectly. We informed the patient we were following established guidelines and training protocols. That is not the true sequence of events. I did NOT claim I was told it needed aspiration - I SPECIFICALLY requested aspiration 3 TIMES with my wife present, and the needle was simply inserted and injected, completely disregarding my explicit wishes. After the injection, she stated they do not perform aspiration here. I believe the record note was fabricated by the receptionist and requires correction. Unfortunately, I must reduce my rating. My wife and I attended for Covid and Flu vaccinations. I explicitly requested aspiration for my Covid jab at least three times. The nurse simply inserted the needle and injected, directly contradicting my request. I suspect she was unfamiliar with the procedure. When I pointed out the lack of aspiration, she responded that they do not practice this method. I then requested aspiration for my wife's injection, and she merely inserted and pressed the needle. Extremely unprofessional to deliberately ignore a patient's specific instructions. My previous two vaccinations at G.M.C. were carefully aspirated. If uncertain about the procedure, she should have consulted a colleague. More comprehensive training is essential before allowing inexperienced staff to treat patients. First-rate Medical Centre with outstanding staff. The only significant issue is the phone system. Recent improvements have been made. Online blood test booking remains unavailable. Queue times have been reduced following my suggestion by creating a separate prescription line, slightly improving access. Additional staffing between 8-9:30 AM would further enhance service. An email contact would be beneficial. EXCEPTIONAL COVID VACCINATION PERFORMANCE 10/10 !!!! 14.9.21 ... Telephone system significantly improved. More staffing during peak hours still recommended. Subsequent to my previous review, I received a letter today (18.5.25) indicating a forthcoming telephone consultation regarding my cancer. The letter lacked specific timing or appointment details. After consulting a hospital cancer specialist, I received two calls - one on my mobile, another on my landline - which I missed due to their brief duration. I immediately contacted the surgery, requesting message delivery to nurse Emma, presumably the caller. The receptionist abruptly refused, claiming insufficient time due to other patients, and simply stated the appointment would be rescheduled. No attempt was made to relay my message. This appears to be their standard approach to cancer patient communication. I am thoroughly disappointed. While the Grove typically maintains high standards, on this occasion, they significantly underperformed. Hence, the one-star review.

Quick Lipoma Removal Near My Tattoo

Absolutely top-notch and incredibly impressive. We reside in a fantastic region of the United Kingdom 🙏 I underwent lipoma removal, and the medical professional handled the procedure with remarkable skill, carefully working around my tattoo after initially cautioning me about potential tattoo damage (which didn't worry me much). Following stitch removal, the surgical site is practically invisible, and my tattoo remains completely intact. The front desk staff are warm and welcoming without being overwhelming. An exceptional medical facility. My sincere appreciation.

Smooth cyst removal with caring team

On Friday 24/01/2025, I underwent a minor surgical procedure to excise a cyst from my abdomen, which was carried out successfully. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire ID medical staff, from the front desk personnel to the nursing team and the surgeon. You were all exceptional and provided the precise support I required that day. It's regrettable that I cannot recall the name of the nurse 😊 who assisted the surgeon, likely due to the pre-surgical anxiety, but she was truly remarkable. Her demeanor was incredibly reassuring and supportive, consistently checking on my well-being. What's more, receiving a follow-up call the day after my discharge, demonstrating such concern for my recovery, truly highlights the Medical Centre's unwavering commitment to patient care and safety. Echoing previous reviews, the personnel are welcoming. Spacious waiting room with a clear separation between medical areas. Multiple levels accessible by stairs or elevator. Convenient text message reminders sent after scheduling appointments. Their website offers comprehensive details about available services and staff, which extends beyond traditional medical practitioners. Conveniently located just off the main town centre, situated at the end of Beatrice Avenue. Highly accessible whether arriving by vehicle or on foot. Ample parking facilities. I've been a patient here since their initial opening. I've consulted with various doctors and received follow-up consultations from nurse practitioners. Received all my COVID vaccinations at this facility. Outstanding care. Medical professionals demonstrate politeness and professionalism.

The medical staff are welcoming and approachable. The reception area is spacious, with a clear separation between the surgical and pharmacy sections. I estimate they have around 22-23 consultation rooms, accessible via stairs or elevator, with disabled facilities on both floors. They offer convenient text appointment reminders upon request - essentially sending a message when you book a slot. Their website provides comprehensive information about available services and staff, which goes beyond just doctors and nurses. In my four years here, I've only consulted one physician, typically handling matters through phone calls. Due to moving during the last lockdown, I didn't undergo a complete initial patient assessment, though I understand they normally conduct these for new patients. The surgery's location is incredibly convenient, situated at the end of Beatrice Road near what I call "The Grove roundabout", just a short five-minute journey from the town centre. For my blood tests, I use my mobility scooter without issue. The corridors and reception are easily navigable, though I'm careful navigating around staff emerging from rooms! The accessibility is excellent, making healthcare visits straightforward and stress-free.

Terrible wait times and no phone support

In 2022, I'm documenting my experience, and here's why I'm giving 5 stars. The service was significantly better before their website migration. Now, it's practically impossible to even get someone to answer the phone. I waited 15.34 minutes listening to a repetitive message about how important my call was, despite being told I was the only caller in the queue. On 28.03.22, the service was shockingly poor. As a long-time patient since 1995, in their old location, I was stunned to be told I couldn't receive a phone consultation or even have a triage nurse assess my situation. When I urgently needed to see a doctor, I was informed the earliest appointment was April 19th. The service has consistently deteriorated, and if I could rate it lower than one star, I would. However, over the past two years, the service has been absolutely outstanding. The speed and efficiency with which they've addressed my issues have been truly five-star worthy. I'm genuinely grateful for the exceptional care and support provided by all the staff.
