The communication from this medical practice feels somewhat inconsistent. While Dr. Vasistha is excellent, the initial guidance to simply reach out can be misleading. Patients must navigate a complex maze of triage, extensive paperwork, and preliminary consultations with junior staff, during which contradictory recommendations can emerge. Nevertheless, once you ultimately secure an appointment with the doctor (in my experience, Dr. Vasistha), the interaction is truly exceptional. He provides compassionate, insightful guidance and explores potential treatment pathways. Though not quite matching the extraordinary care of Dr. Warwicker - who sets an incredibly high benchmark - Dr. Vasistha comes impressively close. Whenever I manage to consult with him directly, I am completely satisfied with the care received.

Greedy surgery extorts patient for basic medical records

The surgery texted me demanding £70 to release my medical paperwork!! All I requested was 2 pages of medical history for a Bupa form!! This feels like pure extortion and being held hostage. There's no cost breakdown, no explanation... this isn't an 'admin fee', it's a complete rip-off. I'm essentially forced to go private because NHS waiting times are a year for my condition!!!!! What's wrong with this system, and since when are such unethical practices even legal? I'm totally fine with paying a reasonable admin fee of £20-25, but £70 is outrageous. By going private, I'm actually helping someone else move up the NHS waiting list, and I'll already be paying a significant insurance excess just to understand my symptoms quickly... and now it feels like the NHS wants to punish me further? Can someone please explain and justify this ridiculous process to me?

I'm perplexed by the negative feedback from certain patients. I suspect their own confrontational demeanor might have influenced their interactions. Securing a medical consultation at this practice is an exercise in futility, nearly impossible like attempting to transmute rock into precious gems. When you're unwell, the absolute last thing you should endure is groveling for a doctor's time, yet that's precisely the experience here. To compound the frustration, the front desk personnel are astonishingly discourteous and patronizing. Disregard the artificially inflated positive testimonials. I've conversed with numerous fellow patients who share identical grievances. They consistently criticize the staff's unprofessional demeanor and the nightmarish process of scheduling an appointment. The entire situation is utterly absurd and mortifying for a primary care facility.

The front desk staff urgently requires customer service improvement, particularly in the morning shift (K....). I've encountered her multiple times and consistently observed her displaying a negative attitude and rudeness. I've discussed this with several local friends who share the same perception.
