Patient feedback reflects a mixed experience with significant operational challenges alongside pockets of positive care. Appointment access remains the most consistent concern, with patients reporting difficulty reaching the practice by phone, lengthy waits for available slots, and a reliance on telephone-only consultations even when face-to-face assessment would be clinically appropriate. Reception staff courtesy varies considerably across reviews, with some patients praising friendliness and professionalism while others describe dismissive or unhelpful interactions. Prescription processing delays and communication gaps feature prominently in negative feedback, with patients experiencing repeated follow-up calls to obtain missing medications or clarification on orders.
Where positive experiences are documented, they centre on attentive listening, compassionate care from individual practitioners, and professional clinical expertise. Several patients highlight appreciation for thorough explanations, genuine engagement with their concerns, and accessibility support such as interpreter arrangements. However, these positive interactions appear inconsistent across the practice, and some long-term patients report a perceived decline in service quality over recent years, particularly regarding the availability of in-person appointments and responsiveness to urgent health needs.
Communication emerges as a cross-cutting theme—both in terms of patient-staff interactions and procedural clarity. Patients note that clearer information about appointment systems, prescription processes, and practice changes would improve their experience. The feedback suggests the practice would benefit from standardising service quality, improving appointment availability, and ensuring consistent courtesy and attentiveness across all patient touchpoints.

Frustrating phone experience with terrible scheduling
Extremely disappointing regarding scheduling delays. I've been attempting to connect by phone since early Monday morning, finally reaching someone around 9:15. They informed me the earliest appointment slot is not until next week. Their suggestion was to retry calling tomorrow, which makes no sense - if no openings exist today, how could they magically appear tomorrow? Completely frustrating and inefficient process.

Terrible service and unhelpful medical care
Scheduling an appointment is a nightmare. Once, they refused to see my 3-month-old in person and suggested waiting a few days before heading to the emergency room to consult a locum GP - which is absolutely ridiculous. The staff's attitude is appalling. A nurse even mocked my partner, sarcastically questioning if he was afraid of needles while our baby was about to receive an injection. The only way to potentially get an appointment is to call at 8am and endure an hour-long wait on hold. Otherwise, there's zero chance of being seen, no matter how urgent the situation. They consistently push patients towards 111 and emergency services instead of providing proper care. Completely not worth registering with this practice.

Worst doctor experience ever terrible medical care
Absolutely absurd experience with this doctor. I made a reservation via phone and described my allergic reaction, but the physician's response was to simply request a photo without even sending a link. Throughout our entire conversation, it was painfully clear the doctor was eager to end the call and showed zero concern for my condition. Her indifference was palpable. If you value your health and want to avoid potentially dangerous negligence, I strongly advise against choosing this general practitioner.

Worst medical practice ever terrible booking system
I was extremely unwell, unable to report to my job. Attempting to schedule a consultation with this medical practice was a nightmare, as every phone call resulted in being told to ring back the following morning at 8 AM. They consistently claim to have no available slots, remaining fully booked even when contacted early. The entire healthcare service is utterly ridiculous. It took me multiple attempts to secure an appointment with the physician.

Terrible practice with zero patient care or compassion
I strongly advise against becoming a patient at this Practice if your health or the health of your loved ones matters to you. Most of the reception staff desperately require training in customer service. The partner GP is solely focused on financial gain, with zero genuine concern for patients. 1. I missed a call and promptly returned it within one minute, only to be inexcusably denied a callback from the clinician. 2. After rescheduling my appointment for another day, I endured hours of waiting, only to be informed that no appointment existed. 3. When I sought information about filing a complaint, I was promised the details would be sent, but I remain empty-handed and still waiting.

Terrible gp service that endangers patient health
Absolutely Terrible, Non-Functional GP Service!!! I've been a patient for over two decades, but since covid, their service has deteriorated dramatically to an unacceptable level!! It's astounding they're still operating. They're potentially the ONLY GP practice Still Refusing face-to-face consultations! What exactly are they being paid for? Even phone appointments, which are difficult to secure, involve staff who are dismissive and unhelpful, constantly pushing patients towards purchasing over-the-counter medications. They consistently refuse to prescribe medication, regardless of the issue's severity, hiding behind spurious NHS cost-saving excuses. Dr Khan, whom I've unfortunately encountered multiple times, is arguably the most incompetent physician imaginable - perpetually disinterested and attributing everything to "viral infection". In one instance, he overlooked a critical medical sign that another service immediately recognized as serious, and had I not sought private treatment, the consequences could have been severe. Dr Shah is equally ineffective. During a prolonged, severe cough, his entire medical intervention was literally telling me to "stop coughing", providing no antibiotics or meaningful treatment. I'VE NOW TRANSFERRED TO A SIGNIFICANTLY MORE COMPASSIONATE GP... IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH, URGENTLY CHANGE FROM THIS PRACTICE!!

Excellent!
Great service and easy appointments at clinic
The front desk staff consistently demonstrate exceptional friendliness and professionalism, while the physicians are both competent and compassionate! Unlike what some might expect, scheduling an appointment is surprisingly flexible - I managed to secure a slot by calling in the afternoon, not having to wake up early. I'm genuinely puzzled by the negative feedback I've seen elsewhere!

Terrible service from unhelpful and unresponsive gp
This seems to be among the scant few medical practices that persist in conducting solely telephone consultations, even when patients are experiencing severe symptoms. It's arguably one of the most substandard general practitioner clinics around.

Worst medical experience ever terrible gp service
This practice is a complete farce. They dismiss patients without treatment and send them away. The doctor never genuinely listens during phone consultations, constantly talking over patients. Their attitude is dismissive: "yes, yes, go away" and brushing off concerns. They make ridiculous claims like "you're too young to be sick" and other nonsensical statements. Aren't medical professionals supposed to help people? The service is absolutely disgraceful. I'm constantly forced to contact NHS for referrals elsewhere, which defeats the purpose of having a GP. I've already wasted money on pharmacy medications that provide no relief. Stronger treatments require a doctor's prescription, which they consistently refuse to provide. They should be facing legal action for medical negligence! These doctors turn away patients who are genuinely ill and desperately need assistance. Isn't helping people supposed to be their fundamental professional duty? Moreover, they avoid face-to-face consultations, preferring impersonal phone conversations. Their approach is manipulative and disrespectful. They should seriously reflect on their initial motivation for becoming doctors in the first place!!!

Terrible service from unprofessional medical centre staff
The staff at the front desk are absolutely terrible!!!! You're left waiting endlessly on hold. Whenever you attempt to ask questions or seek prescription refills, they interrupt and talk over you. Being 34 weeks pregnant, I was shocked by how aggressively the representative spoke to me. I'm definitely switching medical centers. They urgently need to hire new personnel!!!!! Their behavior is completely unacceptable! Alternatively, they must provide proper training to teach employees how to handle customer interactions professionally!

Terrible medical centre with impossible doctor access
The Grove medical centre absolutely merits zero stars. While the physicians provide excellent care, getting in touch with them is practically unattainable, even when scheduling a phone consultation. The front desk staff are incredibly unhelpful. I've been stuck in limbo for over eight weeks just trying to obtain a simple prescription for my young child.

Nightmare healthcare with terrible prescription service
Steer clear of this medical practice... Absolutely terrible experience... I was forced to switch primary care providers within weeks of registering... They don't even merit the single star rating... I've never encountered prescription issues with any previous GP surgery until joining this one... They managed to create the most miserable three weeks of my life and still failed to process my son's repeat prescription, leaving me incredibly frustrated!!! In conclusion... Farewell to the most appalling practice in Leyton... Our paths shall never cross again.

Terrible service and unreliable medical practice
I wouldn't suggest this general practitioner to anyone, not even my worst adversaries. Almost every morning, I'm stuck on the phone from 8:00 to 8:30 (the sole window for scheduling appointments), but they consistently pick up after 8:30 am, claiming no slots remain. When I inquire about the potential recurrence of this issue the next day, their response is simply to keep attempting. 😐 Whenever the doctor writes a prescription, they invariably omit one medication, forcing me to repeatedly call and follow up about the missing prescription.

Terrible service and impossible to book appointments
I wish I could rate this place with zero stars! The front desk staff display an appalling lack of courtesy and professionalism. Scheduling an appointment is practically impossible, and even when I call first thing in the morning, securing a slot seems unattainable. I'm forced to resort to emergency room visits just to receive care! It's astonishing that this establishment continues to operate. Authorities should definitely investigate and consider permanently closing this abysmal healthcare facility.

Frustrating healthcare with zero patient care
In-person consultations are scarce, and telephone appointments provide minimal value when comprehensive medical assessments are required. I'm forced to wait three weeks for a phone consultation, only to be instructed to schedule yet another appointment. The delays are unacceptably long, and the medical staff seem disinterested in truly listening to patient concerns. It feels like I'm trapped in an endless loop of blood tests that merely address surface-level symptoms without investigating the underlying causes. The advice provided is both condescending and imprecise, with practitioners preferring to lecture rather than ask meaningful questions that could help diagnose the real issues. After nearly a quarter-century as a patient at this practice, I'm thoroughly frustrated—the quality of care has consistently deteriorated over time.
