Mixed service from the front desk staff

I'm truly astounded by the stark contrast among the receptionists at this medical practice. Some staff members demonstrate remarkable compassion and go to extraordinary lengths to assist patients, while others display a shockingly dismissive attitude and seem completely disinterested in providing any meaningful help. Given that their fundamental role requires engaging with people and offering support, one might argue that these less accommodating individuals are fundamentally mismatched with their professional responsibilities... just an observation.

Quick Procedure, Two Very Different Experiences

THERE'S AN UPDATE! I underwent a cyst removal procedure here for the first time, and it was fantastic. I was called in precisely on schedule and was finished within 30 minutes, with absolutely no complications. Updated review. I had another cyst removed yesterday (19th May) with a different surgeon, and it was a completely different experience. This surgeon was terrible - he hastily administered the local anesthetic, causing me significant pain to the point where I almost abandoned the procedure! He was incredibly rough, and when I expressed my discomfort, he simply gave me another injection without properly waiting like the previous surgeon had. The entire procedure took just 14 minutes, which clearly demonstrates how rushed and careless he was.

Nightmare Endoscopy with No Sedation

I had an absolutely horrific experience at this medical facility and will never return. From the moment I arrived for my upper GI procedure, the gastro team treated me with complete disregard. Despite expressing my high anxiety and explicitly requesting sedation, I was dismissively told I didn't need it and that it was just a quick 2-3 minute procedure. When I referenced the paperwork about post-sedation recovery, they casually brushed off my concerns. In the procedure room, surrounded by six staff members, I was given a brief explanation of the process. Despite repeatedly requesting sedation, I was repeatedly assured I would be "fine". They sprayed my throat, placed an oxygen tube and mouth clip, and began the endoscopy. I immediately started retching uncontrollably and felt like I couldn't breathe, experiencing a full panic attack. I was forced to remove the endoscope myself and burst into tears. Their response? Telling me I would now need to go to the hospital instead. This entire traumatic situation could have been prevented if they had simply listened to my initial concerns. This is an absolutely terrible facility that demonstrates shocking patient negligence. I strongly warn everyone to AVOID THIS PLACE at all costs!

Receptionist Hung Up Twice at New Medical Centre

I experienced the frustrating situation of being abruptly disconnected twice by the same receptionist when I was simply trying to schedule an appointment with a general practitioner to obtain a new prescription. Even after explaining that I was new to both the area and the medical centre and needed a GP, she dismissively suggested I go to the pharmacy. Ultimately, I managed to connect with a helpful intern, and the pharmacy assisted me on my second attempt. Additionally, I encountered another instance of being hung up on while attempting to book an appointment, as I was unaware that only same-day appointments were available - a policy different from my previous GP's approach. In the past, I had the option of e-consulting, which now seems to have been eliminated.
