Pharmacist took time to explain my medicines

I would like to thank the pharmacist at the local surgery, who provided me with excellent assistance today. They took the time to explain all of my medications in detail and were very helpful throughout. Despite asking on two occasions, I was unable to retain their name. They also helpfully provided me with a link to access a blood test form.

I was disappointed with my experience at this practice. Obtaining an appointment requires calling daily if you need to be seen the same day. When I phone in the morning, available slots are typically already full. The alternative is booking several weeks in advance, which feels inadequate. When I contact the surgery, it is usually for something that concerns me, yet the responsiveness does not seem to match the urgency of my needs.

Be mindful that your experience at the surgery may vary considerably depending on which reception staff members are present on the day. During my visit, it required multiple reception staff and 45 minutes to inform me they could not produce a straightforward document request. It was regrettable that clinical staff needed to intervene and attempt to resolve the matter. Additional training opportunities are being made available to certain team members to help improve their performance in their roles. This could be an area for the surgery to focus on in order to enhance the quality of their service.

Excellent medical professionals and team members! However, the recent local traffic management measures have made it considerably challenging to access the practice and find parking. You need to allow extra time for your journey. I'm considering transferring to a different practice that isn't impacted by these traffic restrictions.

I don't know what I would do without this GP practice on Grove Road. All the doctors without exception are wonderful. As a single parent with my young daughter, over the years I've faced numerous medical emergencies and needs, and this practice has always been there for us and consistently provided excellent care. I would have struggled significantly without their support. My daughter enjoys visiting the doctors and always looks forward to her appointments. She particularly appreciates the doctors she sees regularly, who are caring, kind and attentive. They listen carefully and do their best to help. Most importantly, they take time to listen and work towards the best possible outcomes. The nursing staff are excellent and always available to help, managing follow-up screenings and offering good services. They also make follow-up calls and provide support for elderly patients. Consistency is key to their approach. The reception team is the best I have experienced in the UK. They actually call you back when they say they will. They always assist in the most helpful way possible, listen to your concerns and do their best to help if they can. I feel fortunate because they do an amazing job. I'm very lucky to have access to such excellent GP services given the challenging state of public services in the UK. It seems everything is falling apart, but this practice has maintained high standards and genuinely tries to provide excellent care to families and local people. It's a privilege nowadays to see the same doctor more than once. Consistency in care is difficult when you see a different doctor each appointment, but this practice ensures continuity. When my daughter was seriously ill and emergency appointments weren't available, they always found a way to see her because she's a child. They never miss an opportunity to provide care. I'm always grateful for this. All the doctors are supportive and work with you to provide the best care. My daughter receives a sticker at every visit and has been fortunate to see the same doctors since her birth, which has been wonderful for her.
