Frustrating first visit with unhelpful staff
I recently changed to this medical practice in March, and after my initial visit yesterday, I can confidently say I won't be returning. The reception staff member was remarkably unwelcoming and discourteous. Without any self-service check-in system, I was forced to interact with her, and I felt like a complete nuisance. The physician was entirely unresponsive to my input. I clearly articulated — and repeated twice — that I had previously tried this specific medication at various dosage levels, three distinct times, with absolutely zero positive outcomes. Despite this, he proceeded to prescribe the same treatment, completely disregarding my detailed explanation. I declined the prescription and departed feeling thoroughly exasperated. I've already completed registration with an alternative GP practice, located slightly further away but boasting significantly superior patient reviews. Note: The single star rating is solely attributed to the receptionist who handled my appointment inquiry the day prior.

Terrible service with ridiculously long wait times of nearly an hour. Their appointment system is pointless when they still make you wait, and then inconvenience you further by sending you to a distant pharmacy to collect your prescription.

Clinic closed when I needed help most
Shut down a full 20 minutes ahead of schedule!!! I was experiencing a critical situation requiring urgent help. Upon arrival, I discovered they had prematurely locked their doors before the posted hours!! Absolutely unacceptable. Fortunately, a kind individual assisted me in securing transportation to an alternative facility that was still operational. This behavior is completely inappropriate for an establishment meant to provide support to people in need!!

Receptionists blocking my doctor's call again
The receptionists here act like they're all-powerful gatekeepers who arbitrarily decide whether you'll get a doctor's callback. I've had to repeatedly phone just to check if they've even logged my request. On four separate occasions, they didn't bother noting my name, and twice I received calls just minutes before closing, with the receptionist seemingly eager to rush me off the phone so they could leave. They also appear to have some supernatural ability to know who's calling without asking any questions. Given my mobility issues, visiting the surgery in person is challenging, so a simple phone consultation would be helpful. Instead, I'm confronted with receptionists who seem to believe they're more qualified than medical professionals, deciding who receives care and who is ignored. I'm beginning to suspect they discriminate against elderly white women, treating us as if we're not worth their time. This practice used to be excellent, but now it feels like the receptionists have completely taken over, wielding unchecked power to determine who can actually speak with a doctor.

Worst gp practice with rude receptionist
If you're not part of their preferred group, prepare for a terrible experience. Appalling conduct from Dr R K yerra. Endured an agonizing two-week wait for a crucial letter while he was on vacation, and upon return, he's completely oblivious. The elderly receptionist consistently displays rudeness and zero assistance. Let this review prevent you from squandering your time at this practice. I disregarded previous ratings due to proximity, but now deeply regret joining this GP. Unquestionably the most incompetent medical practice I've encountered, and I've moved frequently. Receptionists provide contradictory information - one day they claim advance appointments are impossible and you can only book same-day, then when you call on the desired day, they're supposedly fully booked for three days 😂. This is merely one instance of numerous negative interactions since becoming a patient. Utterly chaotic and inefficient.

Rotator cuff injury missed for months
This experience was absolutely abysmal, deserving less than zero stars. Completely not recommended. I've consulted my general practitioner four separate times regarding persistent left arm discomfort. Initially, an x-ray was requested but erroneously for the incorrect side, causing the referral to be rejected. During the second visit, I received a blood test and pain medication. The third appointment finally saw an x-ray request for the correct area. The fourth consultation introduced a self-referral physiotherapy scheme with Ascenti. Upon attending physiotherapy, they were unable to diagnose the pain's origin. I've endured this discomfort for eight continuous months. As a healthcare professional, I ultimately self-referred to occupational health, which prompted a physiotherapy referral. Immediately following my consultation, I was diagnosed with a rotator cuff injury, with comprehensive observations conducted. The GP's handling was utterly disgraceful, repeatedly dismissing my concerns with a casual "you must've pulled a muscle" comment. The physiotherapist was genuinely astonished that the GP had allowed this condition to persist untreated for eight months.

My sister has mental health issue she is constantly being told different things from the receptionists holding back medication requests and sending her prescriptions late And to the wrong chemist I’ve had to deal with this on half of my sister because of the attitude of the receptionists I also have been messed around with the medication I ordered for her yesterday as Again been sent to wrong chemist!!

Dr. Khan is incredibly supportive and genuinely takes the time to listen to her patients. The entire medical practice is welcoming, with staff and physicians who are compassionate and attentive. My late friend was previously treated by Doctor Ali when struggling with serious mental health challenges, and she was always treated with dignity and understanding. Compassionate care during tough times
We have been loyal patients of the Gutteridge Medical Centre and Dr Jha's practice for numerous years, with my entire family seeing Dr Sha, Dr Jha, and Dr Yara, along with the many exceptional staff members throughout the years, including the current team. They have consistently prioritized our health and well-being. The past three years have been incredibly challenging, but these remarkable professionals have handled themselves with remarkable dignity, compassion, care, and a strong sense of responsibility. They are consistently polite and considerate. The nurses, both of them, instill a sense of confidence through their supportive and encouraging approach. The front desk staff are understanding, courteous, and highly professional. The doctors, especially Dr Yara, demonstrate true professionalism. During these unprecedented times, when one finds themselves exhausted from endless phone calls with utility companies and banks, these exceptional individuals help pick up the pieces and provide much-needed support. While there is certainly room for improvement, which is why I've given 4 stars, the fact that they genuinely welcome you by name speaks volumes about their commitment to patient care. Thank you to all of you - you are overworked, undervalued, and deeply appreciated.

Customer service is extremely subpar. The reception staff are constantly occupied with phone calls, seemingly overwhelmed by their workload. The front desk is consistently unstaffed, indicating a clear need for additional personnel to manage customer interactions effectively.
