Generally good, one GP not so good...

I have been a patient at The Hammersmith Surgery for a number of years now and thankfully due to not having too many health issues have only had to see a GP occasionally. I am generally satisfied with the service provided but should point out 2 negative experiences with the GP named 'Antonia Wade'. On both occasions I found this GP to be arrogant, rude and disinterested in assisting with the issue at hand and reluctant to examine or actually do what you would expect from a family doctor when presented with a healthcare matter. On both occasions I was offered this person as being the 'only one available' so I will make sure that if I need a GP in the future here it will not be with 'Antonia Wade'. Have seen other GPs who have generally been professional and kept any narcissism to their private lives instead of pushing it on their patients, unlike Wade.

Disappointing experiences with an unhelpful gp

I've been receiving medical care at The Hammersmith Surgery for several years, and fortunately, due to good health, I've only needed to consult a GP on rare occasions. While generally satisfied with the service, I must highlight two negative interactions with the GP named 'Antonia Wade'. During both consultations, I found this doctor to be dismissive, discourteous, and seemingly uninterested in addressing my health concerns. The GP appeared reluctant to perform a thorough examination or provide the comprehensive care one would expect from a family physician. On both instances, I was told Wade was the 'only available' doctor, so I will ensure that in future visits, I avoid this particular GP. In contrast, other doctors at the practice have been professional and managed to keep any personal ego separate from patient care, unlike Wade.

Terrible Practice: Years of Dismissive Healthcare Experiences

My experience with this general practice has been quite disappointing over the years, leading me to finally switch providers, and what a remarkable change it has made! Gone are the days of dealing with unkind receptionists who pry into every personal aspect of my medical visits. There was an instance when I faced respiratory issues, and after contacting the 111 service, they advised me to seek urgent care. However, when I reached out to the reception team for assistance, they dismissed my concerns by saying, "I can hear you’re breathing fine over the phone." Additionally, I've had a mole on my chest that has been steadily growing for several years. Despite attending three appointments where I was reassured that there was nothing to be concerned about—despite having photographic evidence documenting its growth—I have finally consulted a new physician who is taking appropriate action by scheduling a biopsy for next week. It truly astonishes me that PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) has not yet taken measures to close down this clinic given these troubling experiences.

If I could give a rating below zero, I absolutely would. This is utterly unacceptable! Every single aspect of this surgical facility is fundamentally flawed. They deserve to be shut down immediately as they are completely useless to patients! I cannot emphasize enough how many formal complaints I intend to file with the NHS regarding this terrible establishment.

Frustrating healthcare experience with endless waiting

Completely worthless - I've been left hanging for an extended period without any follow-up. My general practitioner misled me and prescribed incorrect medication, which is absolutely appalling. Currently, I'm still waiting on a hospital referral that seems to have gone nowhere. I'm skeptical whether they've genuinely submitted the referral or simply fed me empty promises. Despite being told the hospital would reach out, I've heard absolutely nothing from them.
