Compassionate doctors overshadowed by terrible reception staff

The medical professionals at this surgery are top-notch, but their administrative staff fall woefully short. I have a housebound relative receiving home care who requires medical tests and vaccinations. In one frustrating incident, the receptionist left a voicemail announcing a vaccination visit within 30 minutes, but then immediately closed for lunch, preventing my relative from communicating that she would be alone and unable to grant entry. When she finally managed to contact them, the receptionist shockingly laughed and berated her, claiming she had previously cancelled appointments for similar reasons - but how can one arrange a carer with such minimal notice? It's completely unreasonable. The lack of empathy and professional communication is appalling, severely undermining the otherwise excellent medical care provided.

2023 Update. The online triage process has significantly improved. ----OLD REVIEW---- Administrative management is subpar, emergency referrals are slow, and the appointment scheduling is ineffective. *edit* Twelve months later, the situation has deteriorated further. The general practitioner lacks vaccine availability, neglected my referral and follow-up vaccination, and the appointment mechanism remains critically flawed.
